Abstract

Background: Intrauterine Fetal Death (IUFD) is a birth process of a conception result in a state of death. It is also a contributor to death for Infant Mortality Rate (IMR). Pregnant Woman Class is a government effort to reduce IMR. However, the implementation has not been maximized. This stu­dy aimed to determine the effectiveness of pregnant woman class in increasing the level of know­ledge and hemoglobin (Hb) levels of the pregnant woman.Subjects and Method: This was a Randomized Controlled Trial (RCT). The population of the stu­dy consisted of 170 pregnant women was selected randomly from 3 Community Health Centers with the highest infant mortality rates. The dependent variables were knowledge and Hb levels. The independent variable was pregnant woman class. The level of knowledge was measured by ques­tionnaire with Cronbach's alpha by 0.64. Hb level was measured with Easy Touch GCHB. The Mean differences in knowledge and Hb between pregnant wo­men class and control groups, before and after participating in pregnant woman class, were tested by independent t-tests.Results: Before the intervention, the level of knowledge of the pregnant women class group (Mean= 31.07; SD=8.21) was comparable with the control group (Mean=29.30; SD=8.22), with p=0.162. It indicated the randomization success. After the intervention, the level of knowledge of preg­nant woman class group (Mean=35.07; SD=2.24) was higher than the control group (Mean= 29.10; SD= 4.77), and it was statistically significant (p<0.001). It indicated that the pregnant woman class was effective in increasing the knowledge of pregnant women. Before the inter­vention, the Hb level of pregnant woman class group (Mean=11.92, SD=2.18) was comparable with the con­trol group (Mean= 11.44; SD= 2.05), with p=0.162. It indicated the randomization success. After the inter­vention, the Hb level of the pregnant woman class group (Mean = 12.82; SD = 0.92) was higher than the control group (Mean=11.56; SD=1.05), and it was statistically significant (p<0.001). It showed that pregnant woman class was effective in increasing the Hb level of preg­nant women.Conclusion: Pregnant woman class was effective in increasing the knowledge and the Hb level of preg­nant women.Keywords: pregnant woman class, knowledge, hemoglobin, IUFDCorrespondence: Putri Halimu Husna. Abstract

Paronychia is an infection that occurs in the nail fold and the barrier between the nail and cuticle, is usually caused by penetrating trauma, which allows pathogens to infect and cause damage. The infection is caused by chemical factors, such as fungi, viruses, and bacteria, and risk factors, such as occupation, allergies, and finger-biting habits. Paronychia is a common nail infection that can significantly impact quality of life and work productivity, especially in certain occupations. Paronychia infection was differentiated by two categories, acute and chronic infection. The lack of knowledge regarding the prevention, cure, and rehabilitation of paronychia infection in Indonesia is the cause of the increasing cases of this infection. This review aims to provide knowledge for the Indonesian public and an opportunity for health workers to explore paronychia cases in Indonesia. The data in this paper were retrieved from 32 articles from 2014 - 2024 from PubMed, Cochrane, and Scopus. Articles were selected based on relevance to clinical cases of paronychia in humans, focusing on diagnosis, treatment and outcomes. Then, evaluate the causes, diagnosis, and treatment of paronychia using narrative review. Found that acute paronychia results from trauma or infection, while chronic cases are often caused by fungi. Treatment in acute paronychia is done with warm soaks and oral antibiotics, while chronic requires long-term topical corticosteroids and antifungal treatments. This review analyzes clinical cases of acute and chronic paronychia to evaluate their causes, diagnosis, and treatment. Further research is needed to advance the knowledge and treatment of paronychia infections.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisa Pengaruh Lingkungan Belajar Terhadap Hasil Belajar Pembelajaran Matematika SDN Nglorog 3. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif.. Teknik pengambilan data dengan kuesioner. Teknik analisa data dengan regresi. Hasil analisis uji t menggunakan perangkat lunak SPSS 17 pada bab sebelumnya mengungkapkan bahwa terdapat nilai t hitungnya yakni 2,431 dan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,018. Dari hasil ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa lingkungan belajar siswa secara signifikan memengaruhi hasil belajar mereka dalam mata pelajaran matematika di SDN Nglorog 3. Artinya, hipotesis yang diajukan dalam penelitian ini terbukti benar. Temuan ini menggambarkan pentingnya lingkungan belajar yang kondusif dalam meningkatkan prestasi akademik siswa di tingkat sekolah dasar. Implikasinya, upaya untuk memperbaiki dan meningkatkan kualitas lingkungan belajar di sekolah dapat menjadi strategi efektif dalam meningkatkan pencapaian belajar siswa. Dengan memahami bahwa faktor-faktor lingkungan dapat berperan dalam hasil belajar siswa, pihak sekolah dan pengambil kebijakan dapat lebih fokus dalam merancang program-program pendidikan yang mendukung pembentukan lingkungan belajar yang positif dan mendukung. Kesimpulan ini memberikan kontribusi penting dalam konteks perbaikan sistem pendidikan dan pembelajaran di sekolah dasar, dengan menyoroti peran penting lingkungan belajar dalam pencapaian akademik siswa

Abstract

Music is part of communication, through song lyrics the communicator tries to convey a message to the communicant. If you look at the lyrics, music is a form of verbal communication. BTS (Beyond The Scene) or also often known as Bangtan Sonyeondan, is a male singer group from South Korea. BTS is one of the singers who uses music as a medium for conveying messages to their listeners and packages them through song lyrics that hold special meaning. This research is entitled "Analysis of the Meaning of Quarter Life Crisis in the Lyrics of the BTS Song "Zero O'Clock" (Ferdinand De Saussure's Semiotic Study)". This research aims to find the meaning of Quarter Life Crisis contained in the lyrics of the BTS song "Zero O'Clock". Using Ferdinand De Saussure's semiotic theory, the author examines the signifiers and signifieds in each verse of the BTS song entitled "Zero O'Clock" using a qualitative descriptive method. The result of this research is the discovery of the meaning of quarter life crisis contained in the lyrics of the BTS song "Zero O'Clock. Apart from the meaning of the quarter life crisis, BTS also has a motivational message for its listeners in this song entitled "Zero O'Clock".

Abstract

Pentingnya pengajaran agama dalam dunia pendidikan terutama praktik wudhu di TPQ Bahrul Ulum Desa Kebanggan telah terbukti bahwa masih terdapat anak yang belum bisa praktik wudhu dengan sempurna, meskipun ada tantangan dalam pendampingan praktik wudhu yang memerlukan pengulangan. Pelndampingan wudhu ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman supaya anak-anak dapat mempraktikkan wudhu dengan baik dan benar sesuai ajaran Islam. Metode yang digunakan berupa ceramah terkait penyampaian materi dan dilanjutkan pendampingan praktik wudhu melalui metode demonstrasi. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini, berdasarkan pengamatan langsung yaitu anak-anak memahami tentang dasar-dasar dan tata cara wudhu beserta doanya. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini berjalan dengan lancar dan efektif. Hasil analisis kegiatan dapat disimpulkan bahwa pada saat pendampingan praktik wudhu, sebagian besar anak sudah bisa wudhu sesuai syariat Islam dan beberapa anak masih belum sempurna. The importance of religious teaching in the world of education, especially the practice of ablution at TPQ Bahrul Ulum Kebanggan Village, has been proven that there are still children who have not been able to practice ablution perfectly, even though there are challenges in mentoring the practice of ablution that requires repetition. This ablution mentoring aims to provide an understanding so that children can practice ablution properly and correctly according to Islamic teachings. The method used is a lecture related to the delivery of material and continued mentoring the practice of ablution through a demonstration method. The results of this community service activity, based on direct observation, are that children understand the basics and procedures for ablution along with their prayers. This community service activity ran smoothly and effectively. The results of the analysis of the activity can be concluded that during the mentoring of ablution practice, most children were able to perform ablution according to Islamic law and some children were still not perfect.

Abstract

Tuberculosis (TB) remains a global health challenge, significantly impacting infectious disease mortality and morbidity. In the quest for effective diagnostic tools and precise treatment strategies, differential gene expression (DEG)-based biomarkers offer a promising avenue. These biomarkers provide specific insights into disease states and treatment responses by deciphering gene alterations within body cells. In this study, we aimed to identify immunological signatures associated with latent Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection in memory T cells. Leveraging transcriptomic analysis, we examined memory CD8 T cells from individuals with latent TB (NCBI-GEO GSM2643205) and healthy controls (NCBI-GEO GSM2643198). Our findings highlight candidate biomarker genes—LDB1, ZNF121, and STAT6—whose differential expression could significantly enhance our understanding of CD8 T cell genetic regulation during latent TB infection. These results hold promise for the development of more accurate biomarkers for diagnosing latent tuberculosis.

Abstract

Purpose: Resistance to academic supervision in Elementary Schools is a reflection of the disharmony of intergenerational relationships between teachers, which is an important issue in improving the effectiveness of supervision and collaboration in educational environments. This study aims to explore the factors that influence resistance to academic supervision and its impact on the quality of teaching and collaboration between teachers in schools. Methodology: Using a qualitative approach, with data collection techniques of interviews conducted with senior and junior teachers from several elementary schools and observations, data triangulation with documentation to collect data related to policies, programs, and results of educational supervision. Results: The results of the study indicate that factors that influence resistance, such as the incompatibility of supervision methods with teaching experience, differences in perception between senior and junior teachers, and the unclear purpose of supervision, need to be considered carefully.Applications/Originality/Value: This study reflects the disharmony of intergenerational relationships between teachers as an important issue in improving the effectiveness of supervision and collaboration in educational environments.
