Abstract

Perspective taking is used by a child to understand the feelings or conditions of others and show affective response that is similar to what is felt by others. Children aged 5-8 are in the peak of developing their ability to recognize and understand others. As an attempt to develop such ability, teachers can perform the activities of picture story book reading that contain moral values to students. The present study aims to find out the differences in children’s perspective-taking skills before and after the activity of story book reading.The research used experimental design. The subjects were the students of TK Al Islam 1 Surakarta. The instrument used in this study was developed by the researchers. Prior to its implementation, construct validation was done resulted to the value of Content Validity Index (CVI) = 1.00. It showed that the instrument had good value and fulfilled the expected elements.The findings show the difference in the perspective-taking skills of children aged 5-8 years as indicated by the results of the pre- and post-experiment, with the mean X.1 = 21.75 X.0 = 19.28. It implies that the activity of story book reading is effective in enhancing the perspective-taking skills of a child.

Abstract

Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini adalah program bimbingan yang ditujukan pada anak-anak sejak lahir hingga usia 6 tahun (UU RI No. 20 Pasal 1 Tahun 2003), yang dilakukan melalui pemberian rangsangan pendidikan untuk membantu pertumbuhan dan perkembangan jasmani dan rohani sehingga anak memiliki kesiapan memasuki pendidikan lanjutan. Maka dari itu, diperlukan pendidik yang andal dalam pengembangan kurikulum untuk mempersiapkan kurikulum yang berkualitas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan konsep pengembangan kurikulum pembelajaran di PAUD IT Nur Hidayah menggunakan metode deskriptif – kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi. Kepala sekolah dan guru bekerja sama dalam merancang kegiatan pembelajaran. Kemudian, mereka membuat tema, sub tema, dan permainan yang mampu mengembangkan berbagai aspek perkembangan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan alpha zones’ games berbasis kecerdasan majemuk dalam membentuk perilaku empati. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan desain penelitian studi kasus yang difokuskan pada perilaku empati siswa. Subjek penelitian meliputi kepala sekolah, guru kelas, siswa kelas IV-A dan IV-B di MIM PK Kartasura. Pengumpulan data utama dilakukan melalui observasi dan ditunjang melalui wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Manajemen alpha zones’ games berbasis kecerdasan majemuk dalam membentuk perilaku empati siswa sangat efektif; (2) Faktor-faktor pendukung, seperti motivasi, wawasan, dan kreativitas guru, pemilihan alpha zones’ games, motivasi siswa, serta sarana dan prasarana; dan (3) Usaha pelestarian permainan, seperti melaksanakan zona alfa di setiap pagi, memilih permainan tradisional, merefleksi permainan, dan memotivasi siswa. Dengan demikian, riset ini memberikan implikasi keilmuan dan praktis terkait implementasi alpha zones’ games di tingkat pendidikan dasar.Kata kunci: alpha zones’ games, empati, kecerdasan majemuk, siswa sekolah dasarManagement of Alpha Zones’ Games based on Multiple Intelligences to Build Empathy Among Elementary School StudentsAbstractThis study is an attempt to describe the alpha zones’ games based on multiple intelligences in forming empathy behavior. The type of this research is qualitative descriptive which case of study research design focused on students’ empathy behavior. Research subjects are the principal, class teachers, IV-A and IV-B grade students at MIM PK Kartasura. The data collection mainly used an observation and supported by interview and documentation. The results showed that: (1) The management of alpha zone’ games based on multiple intelligences in forming students’ empathy behavior was very effective; (2) Supporting factors, such as teacher motivation, insight and creativity, selection alpha zone game, student motivation, facilities, and infrastructure; as well as (3) Preservation effort games, such as implementing alpha zones every morning, choosing traditional games, reflecting games, and motivating students. Therefore, the results of this research implied on theoretical and practical implementation of alpha zones’ games in elementary school level. Keywords: alpha zones’ games, empathy, multiple intelligences, elementary school’s students

Abstract

ABSTRAK Maraknya penyimpangan sosial yang terjadi pada siswa saat ini disebabkan oleh kebiasaan negatif yang membudaya dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Penyimpangan tersebut disebabkan oleh serinya siswa terpapar konten negatif seperti media sosial, sinetron, maupun lingkungan sekitar yang tidak mendukung pembentukan karakter positif. Sehingga kebiasaan atau budaya tersebut juga terbawa hingga ke sekolah. Melalui budaya terimakasih dan meminta maaf ini lah diharapkan mampu meminimalisir budaya negatif tersebut. Budaya terimakasih dan meminta maaf yang nantinya menjadi budaya sekolah juga diharapkan mampu membentuk karakter anak. Adanya pembudayaan yang bercorak Jawa juga menguatkan penguatan karakter karena dalam budaya Jawa budaya jawa terdapat transformasi karakter berupa cinta damai, toleransi, peduli lingkungan, menghargai, jujur, dan rendah hati. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa-siswi, guru, kepala sekolah, dan wali murid SD N 15 Mangkubumen Lor penelitian ini menggunakan kualitatif dengan studi kasus.pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dengan budaya meminta maaf dan berterima kasih bertransformasi menjadi budaya sekolah yang positif, dimana siswa mempunyai bekal kesantunan berbahasa maupun berperilaku, selain itu munculnya karakter bertnggung jawab, jujur, rendah hati, jujur, toleransi dan saling menghormati . ABSTRACT The rise of social deviations that occur in students today is caused by negative habits that are entrenched in everyday life. The deviation is caused by the series of students exposed to negative content such as social media, soap operas, and the environment that does not support the formation of positive characters. So that these habits or culture also carry over to school. Through this culture of gratitude and apology it is hoped to be able to minimize this negative culture. Thank you and apologizing culture which later became school culture is also expected to be able to shape the character of children. The existence of Javanese culture also strengthens character strengthening because in Javanese culture there is a transformation of Javanese character in the form of peace, tolerance, care for the environment, respect, honesty and humility. The subjects of this study were students, teachers, principals, and guardians of students of SD N 15 Mangkubumen Lor. This study used a qualitative case study. Data collection used interviews, observation, and documentation. The results showed that with a culture of apology and gratitude transformed into a positive school culture, where students have the provision of language politeness and behavior, besides the emergence of responsible characters, honest, humble, honest, tolerance and mutual respect.

Abstract

Penelitian ini secara umum bertujuan untuk mengukur hasil belajar anak mengenai pemahaman terhadap Kekerasan Seksual pada Anak (KSA) baik yang diberikan metode storytelling maupun metode ceramah. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan model eksperimen yang dilaksanakan selama satu tahun. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa TK Al Islam Jamsaren Surakarta dan TK BA Aisyiyah Grogol Sukoharjo. Pengambilan subjek dilakukan secara random sampling, yaitu sampel diambil secara acak (random). Selanjutnya data-data yang terkumpul akan dianalisis menggunakan SEM (Structural Equation Modelling). Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa hasil belajar anak mengenai KSA menunjukkan bahwa kelompok I (mean= 22.75) anak memiliki pemahaman mengenai KSA yang lebih tinggi jika dibanding dengan kelompok II (mean= 20.28). Pemberian perlakuan berupa metode storytelling (X) dibandingkan dengan metode ceramah (Y) memberikan pengaruh yang berbeda secara signifikan dalam mengembangkan hasil belajar anak terhadap KSA anak siswa. Hal ini membuktikan pemberian perlakuan dengan metode storytelling lebih efektif dalam mengembangkan pemahaman anak mengenai KSA.

Abstract

The 2013 Curriculum emphasizes the cultivation of individual values. There are 18 values to be instilled, one of which is caring for the environment. These values are taught through daily teaching and learning activities. Environmental awareness is discussed in the year four student book under theme three. This research is designed as a descriptive-qualitative study facilitating document study. Data collection was done using the data analysis technique, content analysis. The validity of the data was tested using semantic validity and stability reliability. Results showed that the value of environmental awareness was present in theme three of the year four student book and can be divided into three indicators. These indicators include caring for plants, caring for animals as well as caring for other human beings. In conclusion, theme three of the year four student book is regarded as appropriate teaching material.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of experimentation in science learning which cannot be done directly in online learning during the pandemic. The application of STEAM is one solution to problems that arise in the management of science learning in elementary schools during the pandemic. The subjects of this study were 20 grade 6 students in an elementary school in Surakarta. The method used in this study was descriptive qualitative with a case study design. The recruited informants consisted of students and their parents. The techniques used in this research are interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis using data collection techniques, data reduction, presentation of power and drawing conclusions. The data validity technique is technique triangulation and source triangulation. The results of this study indicate that (1) the application of online learning changes the way students learn (2) In online learning experiments cannot be done directly (3) During the pandemic, teachers are required to innovate in the teaching and learning process (4) The STEAM approach can provide a meaningful experience for students (5) STEAM can encourage student development for the better. The implications of this research are: First, more and more teachers are implementing the STEAM approach in the teaching and learning process as an alternative so that students can learn optimally. Both parents are willing to take the time to observe and assist their daughter's online learning process. This study describes the application of the STEAM approach in online learning during a pandemic

Abstract

Kemandirian belajar merupakan pondasi dasar bagi siswa untuk mencapai cita-cita. Kemandirian belajar sangat penting dan perlu dikembangkan di sekolah dasar. Tujuan penelitian dalam artikel ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan kemandirian siswa pada pembelajaran daring dalam memahami konsep dan mengerjakan soal matematika menggunakan flipped classroom. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 33 siswa kelas VI semester 1 tahun pelajaran 2020/2021 yang terdiri dari 21 siswa laki-laki dan 12 siswa perempuan. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara untuk menggali kemandirian belajar siswa sesuai dengan indikator kemandirian belajar. Keabsahan data dengan triangulasi sumber yaitu siswa dan orang tua untuk crosschek jawaban siswa. Triangulasi yang dilakukan pada metode yaitu mencocokkan data yang diperoleh dari wawancara dan observasi. Analisis data menggunakan teknik interaktif mulai dari reduksi data, display data, dan menyimpulkan data. Analisis data menggunakan teknik induktif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemandirian siswa pada pembelajaran daring dalam memahami konsep matematika dan mengerjakan soal Matematika melalui model pembelajaran flipped classroom adalah baik
