Abstract

Objective: A high-quality education requires a high teachers' teaching commitment. The purpose of this study was to assess the impact of teacher teaching commitment on the academic performance in Indonesian language subject among the state junior high school students in Merauke, Indonesia. Methods: The data on teacher teaching commitment were obtained from 309 junior high school students, while the data on the state junior high school students' academic performance were obtained from the surveyed students’ academic records. The data were analyzed statistically using SPSS version 21. Findings: Statistical analysis revealed that teacher teaching commitment has a positive influence on the academic performance in Indonesian language subject among the state junior high school students in Merauke, Indonesia, as the R2 coefficient value was found to be .727 and the Sig. F Change value was .000. Conclusion: Based on the result of statistical analysis, the study gives a deeper knowledge of the impact of teachers’ commitment to teaching on the academic performance in Indonesia language subject among the state junior high school students in Merauke, Indonesia.Keywords: academic performance, students, teachers, teaching commitment.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpp.v12.i2.202234

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the user perspective on the use of Indrive online transportation, focusing on service quality, pricing, and promotions in relation to purchase decisions. The research employs a quantitative approach, utilizing a questionnaire as the data collection tool. The study population consists of residents of Manado City who use the Indrive application. The sample size includes 30 respondents, comprising 6 male and 24 female participants. The research findings indicate that the utilization of Indrive online transportation services in Manado City significantly influences respondents' purchase decisions, particularly in terms of service quality, pricing, and promotional activities.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the effects of lifestyle changes caused by the use of online shopping among adolescents and college students. A qualitative survey method was employed to collect data through in-depth interviews and analysis of participants' narrative experiences. The research findings indicate that online shopping has transformed the way adolescents and college students perceive the concept of shopping, enhancing convenience in their shopping experiences and influencing their purchasing decisions. Additionally, online shopping has also impacted social aspects, such as patterns of interaction with peers and the influence of fashion trends. The results of this study provide valuable insights into the lifestyle changes associated with the evolution of online shopping among adolescents and college students.

Abstract

Global educational practitioners and policymakers consider student learning outcomes as a pressing concern. In this regard, the joint activities of the school, the parents, and the educators are highly important to the student’s academic success. This research aims to investigates the simultaneous effects of parental involvement, school climate, and teacher morale on student learning achievement. For this purpose, a quantitative method was applied through a survey research design. Out of 10 suburban elementary schools in Buleleng District, a sample of 219 fifth graders were estahlished. The instruments related to parental support, school environment, and teacher’s morale were used in three different questionnaires, whereas the information about student learning achievement was acquired through their academic transcripts. The detailed obtained data were analyzed using inferential statistical methods with the SPSS version 21 software program. The result has shown that parental support, school environment, and teacher morale simultaneously affect the student’s learning achievement. This finding underscores that a child’s performance depends on integrating different factors. Creating and maintaining collaborative networks is essential for driving change in educational settings. This collaboration plays a vital role in supporting all aspects of a child’s development—cognitive, emotional, and social. At the outset, parents provide valuable insights into their child’s strengths, challenges, and learning preferences. This information enables teachers to adapt their teaching strategies to better suit each child’s unique needs, resulting in a more effective and personalized learning experience.
