Abstract

Bale Mangrove is one of the tourist attractions on East Lombok's coast that emphasizes ecotourism. The number of tourist visits at this location has increased significantly in 2023. This study was conducted to measure the level of tourist comfort at Bale Mangrove Ecotourism, based on temperature and humidity or Temperature Humidity Index (THI), and identify factors that can influence tourist interest in revisiting this area. Studies related to tourist comfort on tour are critical because they can affect tourist satisfaction with the tourist destinations visited and their intention to visit again. The method used in this research is descriptive quantitative, with the location selection based on the consideration that Bale Mangrove ecotourism is a relatively new destination, increasingly popular, and the number of visitors is increasing. Measurements were made in two ways, namely (1) direct measurement of air temperature and humidity conditions at mangrove locations with different density types (Meeting, Medium, Rare), and the results obtained then calculated the THI value; (2) based on the results of tourist perceptions related to existing conditions in Bale Mangrove Ecotourism. Analysis was carried out using a Likert scale to identify factors using linear regression. The results showed that the average daily temperature ranged from 27.4 ° C to 28.9 ° C, daily humidity ranged from 62% to 82%, and THI values of 25.9 to 27.4, which can be categorized as less comfortable. Based on the research results, the thermal comfort aspect shows a comfortable category with a percentage of 75%, accessibility parameters with a percentage of 75%, amenity with a percentage of 61%, and interest in visiting with a percentage of 74%. Regression analysis shows that temperature, humidity index, and perceived comfort simultaneously affect visiting interest.

Abstract

Scarcity and rising oil prices will continue to occur due to its non-renewable nature. One of the alternative energy sources that is renewable by utilizing biomass waste Indonesia's energy potential from biomass is around 13,662 MWe with an installed capacity of 1,364 MWe in 2014. One of the biomass waste that can be utilized as biobriquette fuel is rice husk. The high potential of rice production in NTB supports the availability of raw materials for rice husk biobriquettes. Several studies related to biobriquettes have been conducted by researchers, including research on biobriquettes from coconut shells, sawdust, bamboo and brown skin. Research related to biobriquettes include: Research related to biobriquettes include: Effect of the Composition of Rice Husk Charcoal and Jatropha Seed Shell Charcoal on the Quality of Charcoal Briquettes, Thermal Characteristics of Rice Husk Charcoal Briquettes with Variations in Adhesive Materials, Determination of Optimum Conditions of Temperature and Carbonization Time in Making Charcoal from Rice Husks. Based on the research that has been conducted, rice husk will be applied into charcoal briquettes (biobriquettes) which can be an alternative fuel that is environmentally friendly and provides financial value for the lower middle class. It is hoped that by providing training in making charcoal briquettes from rice husks this will reduce rice husk waste, provide cheap and environmentally friendly alternative fuels and provide new jobs in the form of business groups so as to get additional income for the community. The objectives of the training activities for making briquettes from rice husk biomass waste are (1). Provide insight to the community about carbonization techniques (charcoal burning) (2). Provide insight into the technique of making biobriquettes, (3). Provide insight into new business opportunities in the community.

Abstract

Karang Sidemen Village plays an important role in protecting and preserving the rich biodiversity around the Mount Rinjani area, especially in the use of medicinal plants as an inseparable part of the "Gumi Sasak" cultural heritage. This service aims to document the potential of medicinal plants along the tourist route through the creation of distribution maps and plant pocket books. This service is carried out using the Community Based Participatory Research (CBPR) method which includes steps such as: initial coordination, socialization, exploration, data analysis, and submission of service results. The result of this service was that 82 families, 253 genera and 303 species were obtained with a total number of plant individuals found along the Karang Sidemen village tourist route of 8,139 individuals, of which 25 plant species were selected for making a draft pocket book and at the same time making a distribution map into a 2D map.

Abstract

Desa Loloan merupakan desa yang terletak di Kecamatan Bayan, Lombok Utara. Desa Loloan memiliki 3 hutan adat diantaranya hutan adat Pawang Lokok Getak dengan luas 19,8 hektar dengan status kawasan di luar kawasan, hutan adat Pawang Montong Gedeng dengan luas 84 hektar. Luasan kawasan berpangaruh penting untuk masyrakat, karena hutan adat menghasilkan sumber daya alam yang berkelanjutan seperti kayu, air, dan tanaman obat, sehingga memahami cara pengelolaan yang berkelanjutan untuk menjaga ekosistem hutan adat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat pengetahuan masyarakat dan faktor apa saja yang mempengaruhi tingkat pengetahuan masyarakat tentang hutan adat Desa Loloan Kecamatan Bayan. Metode penelitian adalah deskriptif dengan penentuan Lokasi menggunakan purposive sampling, dengan pertimbangan desa Loloan merupakan salah satu desa yang memiliki luasan hutan adat terluas di Kabupaten Lombok Utara. Metode dalam pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakn purposive sampling dengan jumlah sampel 100 sampel, teknik pengumpulan data meliputi observasi, wawancara, kuesioner dan studi pustaka. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan tingkat pengetahuan masyarakat adat desa loloan memiliki pemahaman yang tinggi dengan jumlah 42,81%. Sebagian besar masayarakat desa loloan mengerti bahwa untuk menjaga hutan dengan pengetahuan pengetahuan adat mereka dapat membantu hutan adat itu sendiri tetap terjaga kelestarianya. Untuk faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi tingkat pengetahuan masyarakat terdadat Faktor internal yang berpengaruh yaitu umur, pendidikan dan perkerjaan secara bersama-sama berpengruh terhadap tingkat pengetahuan masyarakat. Untuk faktor external bahwa pengalaman dan sosial budaya berpengaruh terhadap tingkat pengetahuan masyarakat, sedangkan untuk faktor sumber informasi tidak ada pengaruh terhadap tingkat pengetahuan.
