Abstract

Masyarakat Blang Crum telah menggunakan tumbuhan obat secara turun temurun berdasarkan kearifan lokal. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menyediakan informasi terkait tumbuhan obat yang digunakan oleh masyarakat Blang Crum, Kecamatan Muara Dua, Kota Lhokseumawe, Aceh. Metode penelitian menggunakan Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tumbuhan obat yang digunakan terdiri atas 72 spesies dalam 38 famili. Bagian tumbuhan yang digunakan berupa daun (44%), buah (20%), rimpang (7%), biji (6%), bunga (5%), umbi (5%), getah (5%), seluruh bagian tumbuhan (4%), batang (2%), akar (1%), dan kulit batang (1%). Proses pengolahannya dilakukan dengan cara direbus (39%), digiling (29%), diremas (8%), ditumbuk (8%), ditetes (5%), diperas (4%), diparut (2%), dimakan langsung (2%), dikunyah (2%), dan dibakar (1%). Dalam pemanfaatannya, masyarakat meramu tumbuhan obat secara tunggal dan mencampur dengan tumbuhan lainnya. Tumbuhan obat tersebut digunakan untuk berbagai macam pengobatan seperti penyakit ringan (batuk, sakit kepala, penyakit kulit, dan demam), penyakit dalam (percernaan, pernapasan, reproduksi, kolesterol, diabetes, ginjal, jantung, dan malaria), dan bahan untuk kosmetik (penghilang jerawat dan ketombe, serta penyubur dan pewarna rambut).

Abstract

Kepiting bakau merupakan sumber nutrisi dan penghasilan yang memiliki nilai gizi dan ekonomi yang tinggi. Namun, penangkapan yang tidak selektif berpotensi mengurangi ketersediaannya di habitat alami. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi indeks kematangan gonad dan fekunditas kepiting lumpur di Kawasan Mangrove Kecamatan Setia Bakti Kabupaten Aceh Jaya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah survei dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan pada Juli 2022. Parameter penelitian meliputi indeks kematangan gonad dan fekunditas (jumlah telur). Data dianalisis secara kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada Sampel 1 diperoleh 1012 telur, Sampel 2 sejumlah 2003 telur, dan Sampel 3 sebanyak 2620 telur. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa indeks kematangan gonad kepiting lumpur berkisar antara 7.16- 9.12%. Selain itu, terdapat variasi jumlah telur pada setiap sampel dengan jumlah telur tertinggi tercatat pada Sampel 3.

Abstract

Setiap peserta didik dan pendidik memiliki latar belakang yang berbeda, terutama pada pengalaman dan akses mereka terhadap alam dan teknologi. Sebagai pendidik, guru harus mampu menjembatani perbedaan ini untuk membentuk peserta didik yang memiliki kedua kemampuan literasi lingkungan dan literasi teknologi. Literasi lingkungan pada seseorang ditunjukkan oleh kemampuan individu tersebut dalam memahami konsep ekologi, keadaan sosial dan isu-isu tentang lingkungan, serta mempunyai kemampuan berfikir kritis untuk memecahkan masalah lingkungan baik secara individu atau kelompok. Proses terbentuknya literasi lingkungan dipengaruhi oleh berbagai tipe pengetahuan lingkungan, sistem, dan kemampuan berfikir kritis. Environmental-STEM (E-STEM) merupakan salah satu pendekatan pembelajaran yang digunakan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan literasi lingkungan dan berfikir kritis. Pelaksanaan pembelajaran E-STEM dapat dilakukan melalui penerapan model PjBL, PBL, pembelajaran inkuiri, pembelajaran Place-based, dan pembelajaran berbasis pengalaman (experiental learning). Melalui teknologi sebagai alat bantu, solusi kritis terhadap permasalahan lingkungan akan semakin baik

Abstract

Catfish (Clarias sp.) aquaculture is a promising sector with high economic potential in Indonesia. However, challenges related to production efficiency and environmental sustainability often hinder its growth. This study investigates the design and implementation of a biofloc system aimed at enhancing catfish (Clarias sp.) aquaculture in Gampong Mata Ie, Montasik, Aceh Besar, Indonesia. The biofloc technology presents a promising solution to the challenges of production efficiency and environmental sustainability in catfish farming by optimizing water quality and maximizing feed utilization through efficient nitrogen cycling. Employing both qualitative and quantitative methodologies, the research involved a comprehensive site survey to assess initial conditions and specific requirements of local catfish farming. The biofloc system design encompassed material selection, pond configuration, and technical parameters such as aeration, water circulation, and organic carbon supplementation. Implementation results demonstrated significant improvements in water quality, with ammonia and nitrite levels maintained within safe limits. Additionally, catfish growth was optimized, evidenced by lower feed conversion ratios, indicating enhanced feed efficiency. From a zoological perspective, the biofloc system provides an environment that closely mimics natural conditions, supporting the welfare of catfish. Ecologically, this technology mitigates negative environmental impacts by minimizing waste and water usage. The application of biofloc technology in Gampong Mata Ie underscores its potential to not only enhance production outcomes but also contribute to local economic and environmental sustainability. This research concludes that the biofloc system design and implementation represent an effective and sustainable strategy for catfish farming, offering significant benefits from both zoological and ecological perspectives. It is anticipated that these findings will serve as a reference for catfish farming developers in similar regions and promote the broader adoption of biofloc technology in the Indonesian aquaculture industry.

Abstract

The aim of this research was to analyze the profile of superoxide dismutase (SOD) and malondialdehyde (MDA) on the liver tissue of hypercholesterolemic rats which were given Holothuria nobilis polysaccharides (HNP). A total of 15 male rats strain Sprague Dawley were divided into prevention and curative groups. Prevention group consisted of negative/non-hypercholesterolemic group (K-), positive/hypercholesterolemic group (K+), and hypercholesterolemic prevention group which were given 1% cholesterol diet and HNP at dose of 400 mg/kg bw (PCh). The treatments were given for 28 days. The curative group was consisted of the hypercholesterolemic group, which was given 1% cholesterol diet for 28 days, then followed by standard diet for 28 days (Ch), and the hypercholesterolemia curative group which was given 1% cholesterol diet for 28 days, then followed by 400 mg/kg bw HNP for 28 days (ChP). The antioxidant activity of HNP was analyzed by DPPH method. At the end of study the liver tissue was collected and analyzed for MDA, SOD while Cu,Zn-SOD was analyzed by immunohistochemical technique. The results showed that the antioxidant activity of HNP was weak. The MDA level (g/g) in K-, K+, PCh, Ch, and ChP groups were 1.190.6; 3.370.79; 0.290.14; 9.110.72; and 3.141.06, respectively. The SOD activities (U/g) in K-, K+, PCh, Ch, and ChP groups were 2141.1183.88; 1541211.69; 2096.67166.66; 1063.3388.19; 1685.55167.77, respectively. The immuno reactivity of Cu,Zn-SOD showed that HNP could increase Cu,Zn-SOD in the liver tissues of both groups. This study concluded that the HNP increased SOD activity, Cu,Zn-SOD antioxidant content, and decreased MDA levels in the liver tissues of hypercholesterolemic rats in both preventive and curative groups.

Abstract

Pancreatic beta cells may suffer harm as a result of hyperglycemia. This study examined the effect of Senggani fruit vinegar on blood sugar levels in hyperglycemic white rats. Conditions associated with hyperglycemia may result in an abundance of free radicals, a lack of antioxidants, and damage to pancreatic beta cells. One category of reactive oxygen species (ROS) are the free radicals produced by hyperglycemia. Because the senggani fruit's flavonoids have strong antioxidant properties, they can reduce blood sugar levels. Using a completely randomized design, which was divided into 6 treatments and 4 repeats, this research was applied to the experimental approach. The Variant Analysis algorithm was used to analyze the study's data (ANOVA). Blood glucose levels were among the variables measured. gathered information that explains how giving rats vinegar made from the senggani fruit lowers their blood sugar levels. It is evident that the administration of senggani fruit vinegar (Melastoma affine D. Don) has a positive impact on lowering blood glucose levels in hyperglycemia in white rats (Rattus norvegicus L.).

Abstract

Tracing the trade and distribution pathways refers to the systematic analysis of the origins, movement routes, and distribution patterns of a commodity, such as songbirds, from its source to the final market or end consumer. This study explored the dynamics of bird trade in the markets of Banda Aceh city, focusing on species diversity, conservation status, species origin, and trade patterns. The study was conducted in nine sub-districts, covering 18 bird shops, using a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through direct observation, market surveys, and structured interviews with traders. Species identification was conducted using the Birds of the Indonesian Archipelago guide, while conservation status was evaluated based on the IUCN Red List and CITES Appendices. In addition, Geographic Information System (GIS) software was used to map bird trade distribution channels. The results showed the presence of 54 bird species with a total of 638 individuals, mostly from the Passeriformes order. The most commonly traded species was Acridotheres javanicus (kerak kerbau), with 132 individuals, reflecting its high demand due to its adaptability and affordability. Conservation analysis showed the vulnerability of species such as Gracula religiosa (Nias parrot), which is listed in Appendix II of CITES, and Rubigula dispar (yellow finch), which is categorized as Vulnerable. This research highlights the complex relationship between the local bird trade and conservation efforts, and the importance of stricter regulation and increased public awareness to protect threatened species. The findings make an important contribution to policy recommendations in order to promote sustainable bird trade and biodiversity conservation in Banda Aceh.

Abstract

Background: SD Negeri Rumpet merupakan salah satu sekolah jenjang SD berstatus Negeri yang berada di wilayah Kec. Krung Barona Jaya yang bernomor NSPN 10107447 dan beralamat di Jln. Makam T. Nyak Arief RT. / RW. Kabupaten Aceh Besar. SD Negeri Rumpet didirikan pada tanggal 1 Januari 1970. SD negeri Rumpet mengalami penurunan akreditasi dari yang sebelumnya A menjadi B, hal ini di akibatkan banyak faktor. Tujuan: Kegiatan PKM ini bertujuan untuk memberikan informasi serta pelatihan bagaimana sebuha media pembelajaran digital mampu membantu proses pembelajaran di dalam kelas, bagaimana media pembelajaran digital mampu memotivasi siswa untuk lebih aktif dan kreatif. Metode: Kegiatan PKM ini akan menggunakan 5 tahapan kegiatan yakni Sosialisasi, Pelatihan, Penerapan teknologi, Pendampingan dan evaluasi, serta Keberlanjutan program. Mitra dalam kegiatan PKM ini adalah guru-guru di SD Negeri Rumpet. Hasil: observasi awal dilakukan guna melihat apa yang dibutuhkan dalam proses pembelajaran, dan salah satu kekurangannya adalah belum adanya pelatihan media belajar digital bagi guru-guru, dan banyak dari guru bahkan belum mendengar adanya media belajar melalui aplikasi Esembler Edu. Peningkatan kemampuan mitra terlihat mengalami peningkatan terlihat dari kemampuan awal guru sebelum kegiatan sosialisasi dan pendampingan pengembangan media belajar interaktif dan digital sebesar 68% dan setelah kegiatan sosialisasi terlihat menjadi 90%. Penerapan media belajar Esembler Edu yang telah di design dalam bentuk flash card juga memberikan suasana belajar baru bagi siswa, siswa antusias mengikuti pembelajaran. Kesimpulan: pelatihan dan pengembangan media belajar inyeraktif dan digital memberikan peningkatan pengetahuan dan memberikan motivasi belajar bagi siswa.
