Abstract

Olabs, a virtual laboratory, remains underutilized by physics teachers at SMAN 8 Banda Aceh City, despite its potential to enhance students' understanding of physics concepts. This study investigates the effectiveness of Olabs in improving students' concept comprehension. Using a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design, 30 students were assessed before and after using Olabs. Results indicate a significant improvement in concept understanding, with an average N-Gain of 0.73, demonstrating the effectiveness of Olabs in physics education.

Abstract

ABSTRAKTujuan dari penelitian yang dilakukan ini adalah ingin menganalisis sejauh mana Pengetahuan Teknologi, pedagogi dan Content Knowledge Guru Guru IPA SMP dan Fisika SMA yang ada di Aceh Barat Daya, Pada Penelitian ini menggunakan Metode penelitian Analisis Kuantitatif,  Data pada penelitian di peroleh  dengan cara mengedarkan Angket yang telah disusun dan divalidasi, butir angket penelitian terdiri dari item pertanyaan yang mencakup Pedagogical Knowledge, Content Knowledge, Teknological Knowledge. Pedagogical Content Knowledge, Tecnological Content Knowledge, Tecnological Pedagogical Knowledge dan Tecnological Pedagogical And Content Knowledge  butir soal berjumlah 36 butir soal dengan 5 item pilihan sedangkan sampel yang terdiri dari guru IPA dan Fisika berjumlah 42 orang, Analisis data pada penelitian ini menggunakan persentase setiap komponen, untuk bagian Tecnologi Knowlede Kategori tinggi (51%) untuk Pedagogical Knowledge di dominasi kategori tinggi (49%), untuk bagian Contect Knowledge didominasi kategori sedang (49%), untuk perpaduan teknologi dengan konten materi di kategori sedang (51%), untuk kategori perpaduan pedagogi dengan konten materi dikategori sedang (51%) sedangkan perpaduan teknologi dengan pedagogi didominasi kategori tinggi (47%)  berdasarkan hasil Analisis data secara keseluruhan pengetahuan guru IPA SMP dan Fisika SMA di kabupaten Aceh Barat Daya berkategori sedang dengan jumlah persentase sebanyak 56, 67 % . Berdasarkan data tersebut Guru guru IPA dan Guru Fisika SMA di kabupaten Aceh Barat daya sudah mengetahui Apa itu TPACK bahwa sudah menerapakan di dalam proses Pembelajaran serta mengintegrasikan didalam penggunaaan Teknologi Pembelajaran Kata kunci: pengetahuan guru; TPACK, ABSTRACTThe purpose of the research conducted is to analyse the extent of Technological Knowledge, pedagogy and Content Knowledge of Junior High School Science Teachers and High School Physics Teachers in Southwest Aceh, in this study using the Quantitative Analysis research method, the data in the study were obtained by circulating questionnaires that had been prepared and validated, the research questionnaire items consisted of question items that included Pedagogical Knowledge, Content Knowledge, Technological Knowledge. Pedagogical Content Knowledge, Tecnological Content Knowledge, Tecnological Pedagogical Knowledge and Tecnological Pedagogical And Content Knowledge question items totaled 36 items with 5 choice items while the sample consisting of 42 science and physics teachers, Data analysis in this study uses a percentage of each component, for the Tecnologi Knowlede section the high category (51%) for Pedagogical Knowledge is dominated by the high category (49%), for the Contect Knowledge section is dominated by the medium category (49%), for the combination of technology with material content in the medium category (51%), for the category of pedagogical integration with material content in the medium category (51%) while the combination of technology with pedagogy is dominated by the high category (47%) based on the results of data analysis overall knowledge of junior high school science teachers and high school physics in Southwest Aceh district is in the medium category with a total percentage of 56, 67%. Based on this data, science teachers and physics teachers in in Aceh Barat Daya district already know what TPACK is, that they have applied it in the learning process and integrated it in the use of learning technology. Keywords: teacher knowledge; TPACK

Abstract

ABSTRAK   Penyerap bunyi sudah berhasil dibuat dengan serat sabut kelapa dan serat ampas tebu dan diketahui koefisien serap bunyinya menggunakan metode tabung impedansi. Material penyerap bunyi ini dibuat dengan cara mencampurkan serat ampas tebu dan serat sabut kelapa dengan larutan katalis dan resin yang sudah di campurkan, dicetak dan di diamkan selama 3-4 jam. peneliti juga membahas tentang perbedaan karakteristik serat sabut kelapa dan serat ampas tebu sebagai peredam bunyi. Penelitian ini, dilakukan analisis material serat ampas tebu dan serat sabut kelapa sebagai bahan peredam suara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa serat sabut kelapa memiliki kemampuan peredam bunyi yang lebih baik dari pada serat ampas tebu  Dalam penelitian ini, digunakan aplikasi yaitu sound level meter untuk mengukur nilai koefisien absorpsi bunyi dari peredam suara serat sabut kelapa dan serat ampas tebu. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Serat sabut kelapa memiliki kemampuan meredam bunyi yang lebih baik dari pada serat ampas tebu pada frekuensi 400 Hz. Pada frekuensi 1000 Hz, meskipun kedua sampel mengalami penurunan koefisien absorbsi, sabut kelapa tetap memiliki kinerja yang lebih baik dengan nilai koefisien yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan ampas tebu. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa serat sabut lebih cocok diaplikasikan sebagai peredam bunyi pada berbagai frekuensi, sedangkan serat ampas tebu lebih efektif untuk frekuensi rendah   Kata  kunci—Serat Sabut Kelapa Cocos nucifera L), Serat Ampas Tebu (Saccharum offinarum), Koefisien Absorpsi, Peredam Bunyi, Frekuensi ABSTRACT   Sound absorbers have been successfully made with coco fiber and bagasse fiber and the sound absorption coefficient is known using the impedance tube method. This sound absorbing material is made by mixing bagasse fiber and coconut coir fiber with a catalyst and resin solution which has been mixed, molded and left for 3-4 hours. The researcher also discussed the differences in the characteristics of coco fiber and bagasse fiber as sound absorbers. In this research, material analysis of bagasse fiber and coco fiber as sound absorbers was carried out. The results of the study indicate that coconut fiber has better sound-damping capabilities than sugarcane bagasse fiber at a frequency of 400 Hz. At a frequency of 1000 Hz, although both samples show a decrease in absorption coefficient, coconut fiber still performs better with a higher coefficient than sugarcane bagasse. It can be concluded that coconut fiber is more suitable for sound-damping applications across various frequencies, while sugarcane bagasse fiber is more effective for low-frequency sound absorption.   Keywords—Coconut Coir Fiber (Cocos nucifera L), Sugarcane Bagasse Fiber (Saccharum offinarum), Absorbing Coefficient, Sound Absorption, Frequency

Abstract

In physics education, teachers and students have not fully utilized instructional media that can support critical thinking skills. This research aims to investigate the influence of the Home Learning Portal on the critical thinking abilities of high school students. The population of this study consists of eleventh-grade students at State Senior High School 3 Banda Aceh. The sample includes two classes, namely the experimental class and the control class, with 37 students in each class. The sample selection was conducted through simple random sampling. The research adopts a quantitative approach with an experimental research design. Data collection involves the use of test questions (pretest and posttest). Data analysis includes normality and homogeneity tests as prerequisites, and a t-test for statistical analysis. The critical thinking ability data are obtained from the percentage of indicator achievement. The results of the data analysis indicate that the obtained data are normally distributed and homogeneous. Furthermore, the t-test results show a higher score in the experimental class compared to the control class, with a calculated t-value of 4.191 the tabulated t-value of 1.666. This means that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted, concluding that there is an influence of the Home Learning Portal on the critical thinking abilities of high school students. The improvement in students' critical thinking skills is evident, with the highest average score observed in the experimental class, particularly in the conclusion indicator, at 89.19% categorized as very good.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of physics practicum in the context of Merdeka Curriculum in high schools in Banda Aceh City. Using a descriptive qualitative approach with a survey method, this study aims to identify the challenges and difficulties faced by teachers in implementing physics practicum. Data were collected through questionnaires and interviews with physics teachers selected using purposive sampling technique. The results showed that most teachers (83%) had prepared the practicum module well, but faced obstacles in terms of adequate laboratory facilities (63%) and laboratory staff support (57%). Time management is also a challenge with only 63% of teachers feeling that the time allocation is sufficient. Despite this, the level of student discipline and responsibility in the practicum was quite high (92%). This study recommends the need for a review of time allocation, standardisation of laboratory facilities, and teacher professional development that focuses on technology integration in physics practicum in accordance with the demands of the Merdeka Curriculum.

Abstract

Classroom Action Research (CAR) aims to improve the quality of the implementation of learning in the classroom. CAR has an important and strategic role in efforts to improve the quality of learning. Therefore, it is very important for teachers to carry out CAR and make scientific research reports on CAR. However, the reality on the ground is that there are still many physics teachers at SMA Aceh Tamiang who have difficulty compiling Classroom Action Research (CAR). The purpose of this study was to find out the difficulties faced by teachers in implementing and compiling Classroom Action Research (CAR) reports. The results obtained that teachers' perceptions of CAR increased after participating in CAR training. Aspects of knowledge and skills are classified as good and the teacher's attitude towards CAR is classified as very good. The results of the difficulty analysis showed that respondents (physics teachers) found it very difficult to report the results of CAR, and overall it can be concluded that respondents still find it difficult to implement and prepare CAR.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi bentuk-bentuk miskonsepsi mahasiswa program studi Pendidikan Fisika pada materi kesetimbangan benda tegar dengan menggunakan instrumen Five-Tier Diagnostic Test (FTDT). Penelitian dilakukan dengan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif terhadap 60 mahasiswa semester IV dan VI di FKIP Universitas Syiah Kuala. Instrumen FTDT yang digunakan mencakup lima aspek yaitu: pilihan jawaban, alasan, tingkat keyakinan terhadap jawaban dan alasan, serta pola kognitif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 12,5% mahasiswa mengalami miskonsepsi dengan tingkat keyakinan tinggi, dan hanya 35,5% yang memahami konsep secara ilmiah. Miskonsepsi paling umum berkaitan dengan pemahaman momen gaya dan arah rotasi. Data ini menunjukkan bahwa miskonsepsi tidak sekadar ketidaktahuan, melainkan pemahaman alternatif yang keliru namun diyakini benar. Penggunaan FTDT terbukti efektif dalam mengungkap miskonsepsi secara mendalam serta memberikan informasi diagnostik yang lebih akurat dibandingkan instrumen konvensional. Hasil ini merekomendasikan penggunaan FTDT sebagai bagian dari strategi pembelajaran diagnostik untuk meningkatkan kualitas pemahaman konseptual mahasiswa.

Abstract

Purpose: This program aimed to address the limited use of artificial intelligence (AI) in physics education among high school teachers in Langsa City by enhancing their skills in developing AI-assisted learning and evaluation tools. Method: Training was conducted through the MGMP Physics community, involving workshops focused on designing and implementing AI-based educational media and assessments. Practical Application: Teachers gained practical skills to integrate AI into their teaching, enabling more effective and personalized learning experiences for students. Conclusion: The training program was successfully implemented, and its objectives were effectively achieved. Physics teachers in Langsa City showed improved competence in understanding and applying AI in education. The outputs include a service result report, improved teacher skills in developing AI-assisted tools, and an article prepared for publication. Overall, the activity contributed significantly to advancing technological literacy and teaching innovation within the local educational sector.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Flipped Classroom learning model through the discussion method in improving students' conceptual understanding in physics learning. The population in this study consisted of all 49 eleventh-grade students, divided into a control class and an experimental class. The instruments used in this study were test instrument (two tier test) and non-test instruments (observation sheet and student response questionnaires). Students categorized as having a "known concept" in the control class increased to 67%, while in the experimental class, this increased to 88%. Students categorized as having a "misconception" in the control class decreased to 33%, and in the experimental class, this decreased to 20%. Students categorized as "guessing" in the control class decreased to 4%, while in the experimental class, this decreased to 0%. Students categorized as having an "unknown concept" in the control class decreased to 33%, while in the experimental class, this decreased to 24%. The results of the analysis of the student response questionnaire showed an average score of 72.25, which indicated to "good" category. The hypothesis test results revealed a ????????ount value of 5.605 > ???????????????????????? value of 1.67, indicating a significant difference in the improvement of conceptual understanding between students in the experimental and control class. Furthermore, the N-Gain analysis resulted in a score of 0.74, categorized as high. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Flipped classroom learning model through the discussion method positively influences students' conceptual understanding in physics learning.       Keywords: flipped classroom learning model, discussion method, conceptual understanding.

Abstract

The use of learning media is very important, but in schools there are still limitations to learning media that affect student interest and result in low student interest. This study aims to see the effect of the use of augmented reality (AR) media on student interest in learning at SMP Negeri 2 Kuta Baro. This research is included in the type of quasi-experimental research with pretest-postest control group design. The research sample was taken using purposive sampling technique, which resulted in two groups, namely 22 students from class VIII-A as the experimental group and 22 students from class VIII-B as the control group. Learning in the experimental class, using AR learning media. While the control class, using image media. Data collection uses a questionnaire instrument of student interest in learning that has been validated by experts and given after the learning process is complete. Data were collected using observation sheets and questionnaires of learning interest. Data analysis was carried out using the t statistical test with a significant level of 0.05 and the results of the study obtained the value of t count (13.817) t table (2.018). Based on these results, it can be concluded that AR learning media influences the learning interest of students of SMP Negeri 2 Kuta Baro
