Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to develop an Augmented Reality (AR)-based electronic module for Indonesian language learning that aligns with the needs of vocational education students in the Society 5.0 era. The research employed a Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC) approach, encompassing the stages of concept development, design, material collection, visual design creation, three-dimensional object development, and AR integration within a digital platform. Data were collected through document analysis (semester lesson plans and course materials), user needs observation, and validation by subject matter experts and media experts. Data analysis was conducted using quantitative descriptive techniques based on expert feasibility assessments. The results indicated that the e-module achieved an average score of 3.25 from subject matter experts and 3.17 from media experts on a four-point scale, placing it in the category of “feasible with revisions.” These expert evaluations served as the basis for module refinement, particularly in terms of visual presentation, clarity of instructions, and the responsiveness of AR objects. Thus, the developed e-module demonstrates potential to enhance student interactivity and independent learning. However, further refinement is required before the module is ready for large-scale field implementation.

Abstract

Gema Village, located in Simpang Dua District, Ketapang Regency, has significant potential in agriculture and plantation sectors but faces challenges in infrastructure quality control. This Community Service Program (PKM) aims to strengthen the technical capacity of village officials and the community in conducting effective, transparent, and sustainable construction quality supervision. The implementation methods include quality policy socialization, case-based technical training, application of on-site quality checklist systems, direct mentoring during construction activities, and performance-based evaluation. The results indicate a notable improvement in technical knowledge (from 54.3% to 79.4%), ability to create quality checklists (from 35% to 85%), and participant satisfaction (92%). The Village Empowerment Institution (LPM) is now capable of performing independent and documented quality control. The study concludes that nonformal education-based approaches significantly enhance technical literacy and infrastructure governance in rural areas. It is recommended that similar programs be conducted periodically with cross-institutional collaboration to ensure sustainability and replication of the PKM model in other villages.

Abstract

Perkebunan Lestari Road is a local road that functions as public access to plantation and residential areas in Sungai Awan Kiri Village, Muara Pawan District, Ketapang Regency, West Kalimantan, Indonesia. The existing road condition is an unpaved dirt surface that suffers severe damage, particularly during the rainy season, resulting in reduced accessibility and vehicle comfort. This condition highlights the need for proper pavement planning to support transportation activities and local economic development. This study aims to determine the Average Daily Traffic (LHRN), evaluate the subgrade bearing capacity based on the California Bearing Ratio (CBR), design the rigid pavement thickness, prepare planning drawings, and estimate the construction budget for the development of Perkebunan Lestari Road. The research employed a quantitative approach with data collection through field observation, literature review, and documentation. The rigid pavement thickness design refers to the Indonesian National Standard SNI 8457:2017 Pavement Design Catalog, considering road classification and traffic loading. Field investigation results indicate a planned rigid pavement length of 500 m and a width of 3 m. The analysis shows that the LHRN value is 0.67 vehicles, indicating low traffic volume, while the average CBR value of the subgrade soil is 6.64%, representing moderate soil strength. Based on these parameters, the pavement structure consists of a 0.05 m thick lean concrete layer and a 0.15 m thick concrete slab. The estimated total construction cost for the rigid pavement is IDR 619,012,526.00. The proposed pavement design is expected to improve road performance, enhance traffic flow, and support plantation and community activities along the road.

Abstract

Concrete is a widely used construction material due to its strength and durability, but its quality is greatly influenced by its constituent materials and the environment. In West Kalimantan, people use scrap wire from building demolition as an additive in concrete, while clean water is limited, so peat water or seawater is often used as a mixer. This study aims to determine the effect of wire mesh usage and mixing water type on concrete compressive strength at 7, 14, and 28 days. Test specimens in the form of cubes were made with variations: normal concrete (clean water), concrete with peat water, concrete with seawater, and concrete with 1% wire mesh added to each type of water, and compressive strength testing was conducted using a compression testing machine. The results showed that peat-water concrete achieved the highest strength (119.50, 207.37, and 247.73 kg/cm² at 7, 14, and 28 days), seawater concrete produced the lowest (92.87, 182.27, and 225.90 kg/cm²), and the addition of 1% wire mesh increased early-age strength up to 186.57 kg/cm² at 7 days but its effect diminished at later ages. Thus, the type of mixing water plays a dominant role in concrete quality, while steel tie wire  is more effective in increasing strength during the early stages of hardening.
