Abstract

Penerjemahan adalah adalah kegiatan yang kompleks. Tidak hanya mengalihbahasakan, tetapi juga di dalamnya terdapat pengalihan nilai dan budaya dalam teks sumber ke dalam bahasa sasaran. Kekompleksan tersebut yang memungkinkan adanya perubahan nilai baik itu disengaja atau tidak. Perubahan nilai ideologi tersebut terlihat dalam karya terjemahan They Say I?m a Monkey dengan judul asli Mereka Bilang Saya Monyet karya Djenar Maesa Ayu. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik baca dan catat. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan adanya perubahan atau ketidaktersampaikannya ideologi dari karya asli ke dalam karya terjemahannya.

Abstract

The list of Indonesian academic vocabulary has never been made. This study aims to create a list of Indonesian academic vocabulary. This study also explains how to create a list of academic vocabulary using the Ant Word Profiler program. The method used in this study is a combined research method (mixed methods), namely the combination of quantitative and qualitative methods. The research data used in this study were taken from 200 scientific articles from accredited national journals covering the fields of social, health, engineering, and life sciences. The research data amounted to 672,787 words. The stages of research data analysis are (1) knowing the list of Indonesian academic vocabulary, (2) making a list of Indonesian academic vocabulary (3) describing the research results. This researh produced a product in the form of a list of Indonesian academic vocabulary consisting of 235 word families. The list of academic vocabulary that has been made in this study can be used by BIPA teachers and students to be more effective and efficient in learning the Indonesian language so that it easier for BIPA students to produce academic texts in Indonesian.

Abstract

The community service activity at the political science study program, Walailak University Thailand has the aim of introducing Javanese language and culture to improve Indonesian insight. The target of this activity is political science students, walailak university who need initial and advanced guidance to improve Indonesian insights. This activity is very helpful for students in providing initial provision before taking a lecture program in Indonesia. This service activity provides theoretical knowledge and cultural practices in the classroom which include the introduction of Javanese language and traditional games. The activity method is carried out with discussions, presentations and cultural practices. The results of the activity showed the enthusiasm of students in learning Javanese language, Javanese culture and Indonesian in general a total of 61% of students stated that they could know Javanese vocabulary, 22% of students knew Javanese culture. 9% of students got preliminary knowledge if they visit Indonesia, while 8% of students got important information related to Javanese culture.
