Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian pada novel Jemini Karya Suparto Brata terfokus pada teori Subaltern perspektif Gayatri Spivak. Perempuan sebagai tokoh sentral dalam novel ini sangat erat dengan ketidakbebasan, perbudakan “munci”, dan penyiksaan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah membahas posisi subaltern perempuan, pembalikan hirarki, dan bentuk perlawanan terhadap subaltern. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif terfokus konteks dan mengedepankan interpretasi serta kedalaman makna. Teori yang digunakan adalah Subaltern Gayatri Spivak dengan pendekatan poskolonial. Hasil penelitian ditemukan bagaimana kedudukan Subaltern dalam novel Jemini seperti yang digambarkan tokoh perempuan yang tinggal di Tangsi yang kesehariannya tidak bisa lepas dari perbudakan, pembatasan, serta penyiksaan. Perlawanan Subaltern menggunakan Feminisme Modern Behaviour ada otentisitas manusia atas hak yang dimiliki.  Sikap keingintahuan Jemini dalam segala hal sebagai bentuk kemajuan perempuan dalam menyikapi hidup. Kedewasaannya dalam bersikap menunjukkan kekukuhan sosok perempuan dalam menghadapi berbagai karakter orang dalam lingkungannya sehingga semakin menguatkan eksistensi feminis dari sosok Jemini.Kata Kunci: Jemini; perempuan; subaltern Abstract: Research in the novel Jemini by Suparto Brata focuses on the subaltern theory of the Gayatri Spivak perspective. Women as central figures in this novel are closely related to freedom, “lock-in” slavery, and torture. The purpose of this study is to discuss the position of women's subalterns, hierarchical reversals, and forms of resistance to subalterns. This study uses a context-focused qualitative method and emphasizes interpretation and depth of meaning. The theory used is the Gayatri Spivak Subaltern with a postcolonial approach. The results of the research found how the position of Subaltern in Jemini's novel as depicted by a female character who lives in Tangsi whose daily life cannot be separated from slavery, restriction, and torture. Subaltern resistance to using Modern Feminism Behavior is human authenticity of rights. Jemini's curiosity in everything is a form of women's progress in responding to life. Her maturity in acting shows the strength of the female figure in facing the various characters of the people in her environment, thereby strengthening Jemini's feminist existence.Keywords: Jemini; woman; subaltern

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find social reflection on the novel Dhadhung Kepuntir by Tulus S., and the educational values ​​in the novel. This research is a qualitative descriptive study through the sociology approach of Swingewood literature. Content analysis and descriptive analysis were used as data analysis techniques. The data source used is the novel Dhadhung Kepuntir by Tulus S. The result of this research is that the novel Dhadhung Kepuntir reflects the social facts of Javanese society. This can be seen from the depiction; the languages, ethnic, the place, the socio-cultural background in the novel is like a description of finding a job. In addition, there are various educational values ​​that are reflected in the novel Dhadhung Kepuntir by Tulus S., including: persistence (patience, never giving up, working hard), caring values ​​(kinship, harmony, respect), religious values ​​(gratitude, noble, sincere). The depiction of the character Darmo who is always persistent in changing the fate to get the better life, can be inspiration for the younger generation to achieve their dreams. Abstract

Kuriositas merupakan rasa keingintahuan seseorang terhadap suatu hal yang didorong oleh insting atau naluri dalam diri seseorang. Pada penelitian ini akan membahas tentang kuriositas kepribadian yang ada dalam tokoh utama novel Rumpile Jurang Katresnan karya Tulus Setiyadi. Kuriositas kepribadian dalam novel terebut akan dikaji dengan teori psikoanalisis Sigmund Freud. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan (1) Bagaimana bentuk kuriositas kepribadian yang dialami tokoh utama dalam Novel Rumpile Jurang Katresnan karya Tulus Setiyadi; dan (2) Bagaimana mekanisme pertahanan ego tokoh utama dalam Novel Rumpile Jurang Katresnan karya Tulus Setiyadi untuk menghadapi rasa khawatir. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan data penelitian berupa kalimat, paragraf, dan percakapan dalam novel. Data tersebut diperoleh dengan menggunakan teknik studi pustaka. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu ditemukan adanya bentuk kuriositas kepribadian tokoh berupa bingung, ragu-ragu, dan berpikir serta mekanisme pertahanan ego berupa represi, rasionalisasi, sublimasi, dan denial. Abstract

Kebutuhan aktualisasi diri merupakan tingkat kebutuhan paling tinggi dalam teori kebutuhan bertingkat Abraham Maslow. Kebutuhan aktualisasi diri bisa terpenuhi jika sudah bisa mencapai empat kebutuhan bertingkat dibawahnya, yaitu kebutuhan fisiologis, kebutuhan rasa aman, kebutuhan rasa cinta dan memiliki, serta kebutuhan akan harga diri. Fokus pada penelitian ini adalah bagaimana wujud pencapaian aktualisasi diri tokoh utama dan bagaimana karakteristik aktualisasi diri tokoh utama pada novel Lamising Katresnan karya Budiono Santoso Setradjaja. Teori yang digunakan untuk menganalisis penelitian ini adalah teori Psikologi Humanistik Abraham Maslow. Pada penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Dengan sumber data Novel Jawa modern dengan judul Lamising Katresnan karya Budiono Santoso Setradjaja yang diterbitkan tahun 2023. Pengumpulan data dengan cara teknik baca, teknik catat dan teknik pustaka. Yang menghasilkan hasil analisis wujud pencapaian aktualisasi diri tokoh utama adalah dengan menjadi guru dan pengusaha. Kemudian karakteristik aktualisasi diri tokoh utama adalah, persepsi yang efisien, penerimaan, pemusatan pikiran, dan mandiri.

Abstract

The community service activity at the political science study program, Walailak University Thailand has the aim of introducing Javanese language and culture to improve Indonesian insight. The target of this activity is political science students, walailak university who need initial and advanced guidance to improve Indonesian insights. This activity is very helpful for students in providing initial provision before taking a lecture program in Indonesia. This service activity provides theoretical knowledge and cultural practices in the classroom which include the introduction of Javanese language and traditional games. The activity method is carried out with discussions, presentations and cultural practices. The results of the activity showed the enthusiasm of students in learning Javanese language, Javanese culture and Indonesian in general a total of 61% of students stated that they could know Javanese vocabulary, 22% of students knew Javanese culture. 9% of students got preliminary knowledge if they visit Indonesia, while 8% of students got important information related to Javanese culture.

Abstract

This study aims to introduce and promote Indonesian arts and culture at the Graduate School of Humanities, Indonesian Foreign Studies, Osaka University, Japan. The high interest in learning the Indonesian language at Osaka University requires strong support in the aspects of arts, culture, and even traditional sports to enrich knowledge of Indonesian local wisdom. Strengthening cultural literacy through traditional arts and sports emphasizes the values of local wisdom, particularly solidarity, mutual cooperation (gotong royong), honesty, as well as mental and physical health for Osaka University students through Indonesian cultural learning. This activity employs the Empowerment-Based Research (EBR) method, starting from identifying problems, designing activities, evaluation, and dissemination. As a result, students and lecturers from the Graduate School of Humanities, Indonesian Foreign Studies at Osaka University actively participated in the designed training sessions. These trainings focused on introducing dining etiquette, traditional herbal drinks (jamu), traditional music with angklung, and traditional sports such as Patil Lele and Gobag Sodor. Through this training, the aim is not only to teach the materials but also to highlight cultural values and local wisdom as part of cultural diplomacy.

Abstract

The material of tembang macapat is often considered challenging for students. Students are taught to learn cengkok ‘rhythm’, titilaras 'notation', laras 'musical scale', and pathet 'tonal harmony'. However, these demands are not balanced with the conditions in the classroom. This means that the teacher's skills in teaching the material of the word macapat and the ability of students to respond and practice the material delivered by the teacher are both lacking. This research uses Sugiyono's Level 1 Research and Development (R&D) approach. The discussion in this study includes potentials and problems, information collection, product design, design validation, and tested design, as well as the validation results by experts. Designs that material experts have validated are 3.75 and media experts are 3.74. So that if the two are totaled and averaged, the overall value is 3,745 with the number 4 as the maximum value. The design of the E-Srambahan application learning media was declared 'very good' and deserves to be continued to the advanced trial stage after going through a validation process from material experts and media experts. ABSTRAKMateri tembang macapat sering dianggap menantang bagi siswa. Siswa diajari untuk mempelajari cengkok ‘irama’, titilaras ‘notasi’, laras ‘tangga nada’, dan pathet ‘harmoni nada’. Akan tetapi, tuntutan tersebut kurang berimbang dengan kondisi di kelas. Artinya keterampilan guru dalam mengajarkan materi tembang macapat dan kemampuan siswa dalam merespon dan mempraktikkan materi yang disampaikan oleh guru sama-sama kurang. Pendekatan yang dipakai di dalam penelitian ini yakni Research and Development (R&D) Sugiyono level 1. Sesuai dengan pendekatan tersebut, pembahasan yang tersaji di dalam penelitian ini yaitu potensi dan masalah, pengumpulan informasi, desain produk, validasi desain, dan desain teruji, serta hasil validasi para ahli. Pemerolehan validasi dari ahli materi sejumlah 3.75 kemudian ahli media sejumlah 3.74. Sehingga apabila keduanya ditotal dan dirata-ratakan, pemerolehan nilai keseluruhannya menjadi 3.745 dengan angka 4 sebagai nilai maksimalnya. Desain media pembelajaran aplikasi E-Srambahan dinyatakan ‘sangat baik’ dan layak diteruskan ke tahap uji coba tingkat lanjut usai melewati proses validasi dari ahli materi serta ahli media.

Abstract

Mayu Village Tradition is a gratitude of Pakel village community to Almighty God and the ancestors of Pakel village from the establishment until the present day. The Mayu Village Tradition is held once a year in the month of Ruwah with the purpose of honoring the ancestors who guard the Pakel village. In addition, the goal of Mayu Village Tradition is giving the Tengger tribe people safety, peace and protection from danger. The meaning, function, and the equipment of this village mayu event is charity crops to the ancestors and charity to the earth. This research used descriptive qualitative method that provides an overview of the meaning, function, and alteration of the Mayu Village Tradition in Pakel Village, Sukapura Subdistrict, Probolinggo Regency. The data research formed as oral data and written data. The data collection techniques used observation, interview techniques (field notes, interviews, and observation field notes), and documentation. This research has three objectives, namely behavior, meaning, and function of the Mayu Village Tradition. The equipment used for nyekar punden and Mayu Desa ceremony. The procedures in Mayu Village Tradition are opening, implementation, and closing. This tradition has meaning and function as village thanksgiving to get away from danger and can give blessings especially to the people of Pakel village, Sukapura District, Probolinggo Regency. Abstract

Abstrak Suku Jawa memiliki bermacam-macam tradisi upacara adat yang hingga saat ini masih dilaksanakan. Masyarakat memiliki kepercayaan tradisi adat wajib dilaksanakan, jika tidak dilaksanakan bisa kejadian yang tidak diharapkan, sehingga wajib dilaksanakan dengan prosesi dan sesaji yang lengkap. Seperti tradisi pengantin tebu wajib dilaksanakan karena di dalam prosesi tata laku ada makna simbolis yang bisa menarik perhatian. Tradisi ini menjadi tradisi ritual tahunan dari pabrik gula Semboro. Tradisi dilaksanakan saat buka musim giling. Tempat penelitian di Kebun Hak Guna Usaha (HGU) tanah Spada PT Perkebunan 11 (PTPN XI) Desa Nogosari Kecamatan Rambipuji Jember dan PG Semboro kecamatan Semboro Jember. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui tata laku upacara dari awal sampai akhir penutup, serta mendeskripsikan makna yang terkandung di dalam simbol-simbol di tata acara serta ubarampe. Rancangan penelitian menggunakan teori Semiotika Charles Sanders Pierce. Sumber data menggunakan wawancara juga dokumentasi yang dilaksanakan langsung di lapangan. Sesudahnya semua data dianalisis dengan cara induktif yang memberi penjelasan mengenai data hasil wawancara. Hasil penelitian ada tata laku slametan, sesaji, ubarampe, dan ujub yang menjadi simbol dari media komunikasi manusia dengan alam gaib. Simbol-simbol dalam ritual ada pesan yang ditujukan untuk kelancaran selama proses giling sehingga pesan tadi memiliki nilai yang positif. Kata Kunci : Pengantin tebu, Semiotik, Pabrik Gula Semboro, Simbolik.
