Abstract

  Abstrak: Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi hasil wawancara peneliti dengan guru yang mengemukakan masalah rendahnya keterampilan siswa menulis cerpen khususnya pada siswa kelas XI IPS III SMAN 5 Pontianak. Rendahnya keterampilan siswa menulis cerpen diketahui berdasarkan rata-rata nilai yang diperoleh siswa sebesar 65,70. Penyebab rendahnya keterampilan menulis cerpen yaitu penggunaan metode, teknik dan media menulis cerpen yang terkesan monoton. Untuk mengatasi masalah ini, peneliti dan guru menggunakan teknik pemodelan dan media komik. Metode dan bentuk penelitian ini adalah deskriptif dan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Sumber data ini yaitu guru bahasa Indonesia dan siswa kelas XI. Data penelitian ini meliputi RPP dan hasil menulis cerpen siswa sedangkan teknik yang digunakan adalah tes dan observasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan dari nilai rata-rata pratindakan sebesar 65,70 menjadi 71,9 pada tindakan I. Tindakan kedua terjadi peningkatan lagi sebesar 2,15 atau 74,05 dari nilai tindakan I.   Kata kunci: menulis cerpen, pemodelan dan komik.   Abstract: This research motivated by the interview result between the researcher and Indonesian language teacher which expressed the problem of the low skilled students in writing the short story especially at the XI IPS III of SMAN 5 Pontianak. The low-skilled writing short story are known based on the students average score is 65.70. The main factor caused in writing short story is the used of method, technique, and learning media are monotonous. To solve this problem, the researcher and teacher used the example of short story and comic media. The method and form of this research is descriptive and classroom action research (CAR). This research source are the eleventh grade teacher of Indonesian language, and the students. The data in this research are lesson plans, observation sheets, and the students written text of short story while the technique used are test and observation. The result of this result indicated that the improvement from the average score is 65,70 became 71.9 in the first cycle. In the second cycle the improvement is 72.15 or 74.05 than the average score in the first cycle.  Keywords:. Short story writing, modeling, comics.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to improve students’ reading ability and learning activities through Number Head Together Technique at the tenth class of MA HidayatulMubtadiinTulangBawang Barat in 2017/2018. The subjects of this research consisted of thirty-one students. This research used classroom action research which was conducted in two circles. Each circle consisted of four steps: Identifying problems and planning action, implementing the action and observing or monitoring the action, reflecting the result of the observation, revising the plan for the following step. The data were collected through interviews, observation sheets, questionnaires, and tests. This research used both quantitative and qualitative techniques of data analysis. In the first cycle, the average score of class activities was Satisfactory. In the second cycle, the average score of class activities was increased. The significant improvement students’ reading ability shown from the average score of the first cycle was 69.80, there were 19 students or 61.29% who passed the Minimum Mastery Criterion, and the average score of the second cycle was 75,74, there were 25 students or 88.33% who passed the Minimum Mastery Criterion.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of work culture, commitment, and discipline on employee job satisfaction at PT Yamaha Indonesia Motor Manufacturing. The independent variables in this study are work culture, commitment, and discipline, while the dependent variable is employee job satisfaction. The research method used is a quantitative method with a survey approach. The population in this study were all permanent employees of PT Yamaha Indonesia Motor Manufacturing. The sample was determined by simple random sampling technique, so that 100 respondents were obtained. Data collection using a questionnaire, while data analysis using multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed that work culture has a positive and significant effect on employee job satisfaction. Discipline also has a positive and significant effect on employee job satisfaction. Meanwhile, commitment has no significant effect on employee job satisfaction. Simultaneously, work culture, commitment, and discipline have a significant effect on employee job satisfaction. The implication of this research is the need for PT Yamaha Indonesia Motor Manufacturing to continue to strengthen a positive work culture and increase employee commitment in order to increase employee job satisfaction. In addition, the company also needs to pay attention to aspects of employee discipline in order to support increased job satisfaction.

Abstract

Telur merupakan produk unggas dengan kandungan gizi tinggi dan mudah dicerna. Kualitas eksterior telur dapat dinilai berdasarkan beberapa aspek, seperti berat telur, bentuk dan ukuran telur (shape index) dan ketebalan kerabang telur. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh pemanfaatan eceng gondok sebagai bahan pakan dalam campuran ransum itik petelur, serta menentukan persentase optimal tepung eceng gondok (Eichhornia crassipes) dalam ransum yang memberikan pengaruh terbaik pada berat telur, shape index dan ketebalan kerabang telur Itik Master.  Penelitian dilaksanakan di peternakan Citra Prawira yang berlokasi di Dusun Cigarukgak, Desa Padamukti, Kecamatan Pasirwangi, Kabupaten Garut. Metode yang digunakan adalah eksperimental dengan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL), terdiri atas 4 perlakuan dan 5 ulangan.  Perlakukan yang diberikan meliputi: R0 (100% ransum basal tanpa eceng gondok), R1 (95% ransum basal + 5% eceng gondok), R2 (90% ransum basal + 10% eceng gondok), R3 ( 85% ransum basal + 15% eceng gondok). Variabel yang diteliti terdiri dari berat telur, shape index dan ketebalan kerabang. Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa penambahan tepung eceng gondok dalam ransum meningkatkan ketebalan kerabang, tetapi tidak memengaruhi berat telur maupun shape index. Tepung eceng gondok (Eichhornia crassipes) dapat dimanfaatkan hingga 15% dalam ransum Itik Master.

Abstract

Background: Intravenous (IV) procedures face challenges due to low nurse proficiency (50.8%) in Indonesian and difficulties in vein visualization, especially in patients with darker skin tones. Objectives: To develop an affordable, portable vein detection device, "Melanveer," capable of accurate visualization for all skin types. Materials and Methods: Melanveer uses near-infrared (NIR) light and Contrast Limited Adaptive Histogram Equalization (CLAHE) for real-time vein visualization. The prototype, made with 3D-printed components, was tested on 20 patients with varying skin tones (Very white to light white skin, Fair to light brown skin, and Dark to very dark brown skin). Results: Melanveer demonstrated 94% accuracy in vein detection, improved efficiency for medical staff, and enhanced patient comfort during IV procedures. Conclusions: Melanveer offers an innovative, cost-effective, and portable solution for accurate vein detection, addressing challenges in IV procedures and improving healthcare outcomes

Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian tentang pembuatan rancang bangun pengintegrasian 3 sistem kendali motor induksi. Rancang bangun menghasilkan sistem kendali yang dapat digunakan untuk mengoperasikan beberapa fungsi kerja motor induksi skala laboratorium. Sebagai sistem kontrolnya menggunakan kontak-kontak bantu pada magnetic contactor dan di lengkapi dengan relay tambahan serta menggunakan sistem pengaman thermal overload relay (TOR). karena sistem kontrol tersebut dapat menahan daya yang cukup besar dan teruji keandalannya, rancang bangun ini melalui tahapan-tahapan yaitu: persiapan alat dan bahan, perancangan alat dan desain gambar, perakitan sistem kendali serta pengujian alat. Prinsip kerja sistem kendali ini terbagi menjadi : a) fungsi kerja motor putar kanan dengan magnetic contactor 1 yang beroperasi b) fungsi kerja motor putar kiri dengan magnetic contactor 2 yang beroperasi c) fungsi kerja motor putaran lambat (1500rpm) dengan magnetic contactor 4 yang beroperasi d) fungsi kerja motor putaran cepat (3000rpm) dengan magnetic contactor 1 yang beroperasi e) fungsi kerja motor secara hubung bintang-segitiga dengan magnetic contactor 1 dan 3 beroperasi untuk hubung bintang kemudian setelah 0,5 detik secara otomatis magnetic contactor 3 berhenti beroperasi dan berpindah magnetic contactor 4 beroperasi sementara magnetic contactor 1 tetap beroperasi untuk hubung segitiga

Abstract

This study attempts to elaborate on the importance of cultural understanding of English foreign learners’ communicative competence. In the English language teaching in Indonesia, the role of culture is a crucial thing which needs to be combined with the teaching material to assist teachers and students for reaching the learning objective. Based on the findings of some studies, English learners in Indonesia face several obstacles when they find some terms which are unable to get its point in the literal meaning. Understanding the background culture in learning English is expected to minimize students' misunderstanding and lead them to use proper English in real communication. Integrated teaching material which contains cultural contents and its backgrounds is one way to introduce English to the learners, not only as a language but as a culture as well. Providing topics of learning based on authentic sources from native English speaking countries such as fable, short story, conversation role-play, songs, and movie. Arranging integrated teaching material that covers listening, speaking, reading, and writing with included cultural or arts contents of English native speakers. The teacher should not only teach students in linguistic competence but should teach them communicative competence as well because mastering linguistic competence is insufficient to use English in natural discourse. The appropriateness of English in use toward communication context is the objective of understanding the culture and language.Keywords: Culture understanding, Teaching Material, Communicative Competence, EFL.
