Abstract

Indonesia is an agricultural country that produces rice plants. The decline in crop yields was caused by pests and had an impact on rice plants which experienced yellowing leaves, broken stems, until the rice fruit became empty. Test results data in the form of numbers in certain units will be presented in the form of tables and graphs. To find out the symptoms or behavior of the system at the time of testing, an analysis is carried out. The research was conducted for 5 nights starting at 18.00 until 06.00 WIB. The LoRa sender will send data when a pest lands on a 1000-1500 VDC wire net. In the research conducted, a total of 97 pests were found. The peak of pest attacks occurs at 19:00 to 20:00 WIB. Walang sangit attacks rice plants in all phases, so it is not surprising that this pest has the largest number, namely 87 pests. The rain that falls makes the lights dim thereby reducing the interest of the pests in the pest traps. Lamps with a wavelength of 500 nm can attract the attention of nocturnal pests that attack rice plants at night.

Abstract

Effective relationships between students and lecturers are essential in supporting the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, but difficulties in communication and meetings can hinder this process. Internet of Things (IoT) technology offers a solution by enabling real-time management of lecturer attendance information. This research aims to: (1) design a website-based lecturer attendance information system, (2) test the system design on the device and information system, and (3) analyze the performance of the integrated system. The methodology used is the RD (Research and Development) method, which involves needs analysis, design, development, and system testing. The test results show that the designed system is able to provide information related to lecturer attendance well. Of the 10 samples, 7 were successfully enrolled in the database, and 6 successfully performed fingerprint matching. Data management is done well, although there are challenges such as the need for a stable network. The design of the device involved complex procedures, including WiFi configuration and fingerprint matching using a MySQL database, showing the potential for further development. This web-based IoT system can be accessed through various gadgets such as smartphones, laptops, or computers, making it easier for users to access information. Overall, this system provides a practical and efficient solution to improve communication and meetings between lecturers and students.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze Quality of Service (QoS) parameters on cellular networks using four providers by measuring throughput, packet loss, delay and jitter parameters when conducting Video Streaming and Online Games using the Wireshark application. The research method involves direct measurement of QoS parameters in several strategic locations in Punggur Kecil village, data was taken at three different location points with a distance comparison of ±500 meters. From all the recapitulations of QoS parameter measurement results, it can be concluded that the value of each QoS parameter can vary for each package which includes the categories poor, medium, good and very good because the bandwidth received by each provider is different. The cause of high and low values of different QoS parameters, Throughput is caused by the number of packet arrivals measured during the observation process, Packet Loss is caused by the number of queues exceeding capacity, Delay is caused by low Throughput values and the number of packets sent, while the Jitter value is influenced by the Delay value. The results obtained are that the Indosat provider is the recommended provider when carrying out Video Streaming and Online Games, because the Quality of Service value produced is superior to other providers. The average values of the Throughput, Packet Loss, Delay and Jitter parameters at each location for the Indosat provider are respectively 796kbps, 2.63%, 22.6ms and 22.6ms. Provider XL is 708kbps, 1.67%, 12.6ms, and 12.6ms. Provider Telkomsel 667kbps, 0.33%. 55.9ms, and 56ms. As well as the Smartfren provider 50kbps, 0.38%, 102.6ms, and 102.7ms.
