Abstract

Abstrak : Pembelajaran Jarak Jauh (PJJ) menjadi salah satu alternatif pembelajaran di tengah wabah Covid-19 saat ini. Salah satu metode penyampaian Pembelajaran Jarak Jauh yaitu dengan bahan-bahan tertulis seperti lembar kerja, maka dengan penggunaan lembar kerja ini agar semua siswa bisa mengikuti pembelajaran, sehingga tidak terjadi ketertinggalan dalam mengikuti setiap pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan gambaran tentang peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa dan untuk mengetahui kemandirian belajar siswa dengan pembelajaran jarak jauh berbasis lembar kerja siswa. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode ex-post facto. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri 2 Kalijati, siswa kelas VII tahun pelajaran 2020/2021, sampel dipilih secara random. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang signifikan dengan pembelajaran jarak jauh berbasis lembar kerja. Hasil Angket menunjukkan diperoleh persentase rata-rata kemandirian belajar siswa yaitu sebesar 30,65% berarti dapat disimpulkan bahwa hampir setengahnya menunjukkan adanya kemandirian belajar terhadap pembelajaran jarak jauh berbasis lembar kerja.

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to determine the effect of using the probing-prompting technique in significantly improving students' mathematical reasoning abilities in class and to determine students' responses to the application of the probing-prompting technique in mathematics learning during the implementation of restrictions on community activities (PPKM). In this research, quasi-experimental research was used, a Nonequivalent Control Group Design research design. The research was conducted in the odd semester of the 2021-2022 academic year with a population of all class VIII students. The experimental class that received mathematics learning using the Probing Prompting learning model experienced a significant increase with a positive response in mathematics learning during the implementation of restrictions on community activities (PPKM) with a value of 0.70 in the high improvement category. Meanwhile, the control class with the usual learning model experienced an increase of 0.41 with a moderate increase. Keywords: ordinary learning, ppkm, probing prompting, reasoning Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan teknik probing-prompting dalam peningkatan kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa dikelas secara signifikan dan untuk mengetahui respon siswa terhadap penerapan teknik probing-prompting dalam pembelajaran matematika pada masa pemberlakuan pembatasan kegiatan masyarakat (PPKM). Dalam penelitian ini digunakan penelitian kuasi eksperimen, desain penelitian Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Penelitian dilakukan pada semester ganjil tahun ajaran 2021-2022 dengan populasi dalam seluruh siswa kelas VIII. Kelas eksperimen yang mendapat pembelajaran matematika dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Probing Prompting mengalami peningkatan signifikan dengan respon yang positif dalam pembelajaran matematika pada masa pemberlakuan pembatasan kegiatan masyarakat (PPKM) dengan nilai sebesar 0,70 kategori peningkatan tinggi. Abstract

Penelitianini dilakukan bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa SMPN 4 Subang lebih tinggi menggunakan model Student Facilitator And Explaining (SFAE)daripada memperoleh pembelajaran biasa.Metode penelitian menggunakan kuasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian Pretest-posttest Control Group Design.Kelompok eksperimen model pembelajaran SFAEsedangkan kelompok kontrol menggunakan pembelajaran biasa.Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa SMPN 4 Subang dengan sampel penelitian siswa kelas VIII sebanyak dua kelas yang dipilih Non-random sampling.Instrumenyangdigunakan dalampenelitian iniyaitu berupatesdannon tes.Kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa diukur dengan instrumentesberupasoal-soalyang berbentukuraian.Sikap atau tanggapan siswadiketahui dengan Instrumennon tes berupa angket.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa SMPN 4 Subang lebih tinggi menggunakan model pembelajaran SFAEdaripada memperoleh pembelajaran biasa.Sikap atau tanggapanpositif ditunjukan siswa ketika menggunakan model pembelajaran SFAE.

Abstract

The four skills needed in the 21st century are often abbreviated as 4Cs, including communication skills. This research is an attempt to determine students' mathematical communication skills and student responses in learning mathematics. The purpose of this study was to determine the significant improvement in communication skills and to determine student responses to the implementation of accelerated learning. This research uses Quasi Experimental Design with Non-equivalent Control Group Design. Pretest and Posttest in the form of quantitative data in the form of description questions and non-test (questionnaire) in the form of qualitative data. The research was carried out at SMPN 4 Purwadadi with the research population in the odd semester of the 2021/2022 academic year. Sampling using purposive sampling method. The instruments used are test and non-test instruments. The test instrument for students' mathematical communication skills is in the form of description questions and nontest in the form of student response questionnaires. The results of the study by using inferential statistics with a significance level of 5% showed that there was a significant difference regarding the improvement of students' mathematical communication skills and the good response of students to the use of accelerated learning.Keywords:accelerated learning, mathematical communication, junior high school student. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpmipa/v23i4.pp1409-1422

Abstract

Research on mathematics learning is increasing and developing. However, empirical research ideas on working memory (WM) and creativity are still very limited. Educators must train students' WM skills in addition to providing reinforcement for mathematics learning. A systematic literature review follows the 10-step approach by Gough et al. The research questions consist of: What are the ideas about the definition, components and abilities of working memory? The idea of ​​Working Memory in mathematics learning related to reasoning, problem solving and creativity? The researcher determined the publication period of the relatively latest articles in 2015 - 2024. The researcher conducted a database search on PsycInfo, MathEduc, Harzing's Publish or Perish and Scopus. Meanwhile, to determine the quality of the journal, the researcher based it on the database on ScimagoJR. After sorting, the articles analyzed were 37 found in 18 different journals. There are six definitions of WM, four related to working memory components, 10 related to working memory abilities, two related to working memory descriptions of reasoning and problem solving, three related to descriptions of creativity and three ideas of WM in mathematics learning, namely arithmetic, geometry and algebra.

Abstract

With the rapid changes in the times, the emphasis in education has also shifted, from equipping students with highly codified knowledge to developing routine skills to empower them to face and overcome complex and non-routine cognitive challenges. Students must be able to think flexibly and creatively when asked to solve problems for which they do not yet have strategies. The purpose of this study was to describe the creative mathematical reasoning (CMR) abilities of students in solving multiple solution tasks (MSTs) in analytical geometry problems. The CMR indicators in this study were novelty, plausibility, and mathematical foundation. The research used a qualitative descriptive design, describing how students' CMR abilities and their own abilities in solving MSTs questions. The subjects of this study were second-semester students in the mathematics education program at a university in Subang in the 2024/2025 academic year. The subjects were given MSTs questions, grouped into high, medium, and low groups based on their scores. Then, two participants were selected from each group. The criteria for selecting research subjects were: fulfilling the CMR ability aspect; being able to solve several MSTs questions to assess novelty, plausibility, and mathematical foundation, including the stages of initiating reasoning, developing reasoning (incubation, illumination), verifying reasoning, and justifying reasoning; and being able to communicate well. The research subjects were divided into three groups based on the MSTs' question scores: high, medium, and low.  The results of the study illustrate that students' mathematical creative reasoning abilities in solving MSTs questions are not optimal, as reflected in the solutions they provide. Therefore, to optimize students' CMR abilities, assignments should combine question types and use interactive, practical, relevant, comfortable, and connected learning models.
