Abstract

Our health is the primary key to our activeness and productivity to create something that would benefit others. Our advancement in modern medicine has greatly helped us to reinforce our health. But, despite the modern medication we now have, and the world’s health campaign, access to medication and modern healthcare can still be so hard to reach for several people in some area. One of the example of alternative medication that is now getting on trend is none other than Ningsih Tinampi from Pasuruan, East Java. Ningsih Tinampi has been practicing alternative medication for 5 years, and had published contents about the practice in her personal Youtube account, which now has gained over 1.5 million subscribers which range from the older to the younger generations, including the Z generation. This is something that we found interesting, since the Z generation, culturally speaking, is so far from practice of animism, dinamism, and any other practice that would sound irrational. The researching team wants to find out how the Z generations perceive the practice of alternative medication which has been constructed at Youtube. The method of this paper uses the study of phenomenology with a qualitative way of research. The theory of social constructionism will be used as the guiding theory and the result showed that the Z generations truly believe that the viral contents in Youtube is true and real.Keywords : New Media, Z Generation Communication, Social Constructionism, Mass Media

Abstract

The development of technology and information affects various aspects of life, one of which is higher education. We are Social Related Digital Report (2023), states that of the 276.4 million Indonesians, 212.9 million Indonesians have used the internet in their daily activities and social media platforms, most frequently used are YouTube, Facebook, and WhatsApp. The multifunction of social media, in addition as media information, is as a medium to promotional activities. Universitas Negeri Surabaya, uses this opportunity to improve promotional strategies so that they have a positive impact on the university's business ecosystem. This study aims to determine the characteristics of the content needed by the audience when accessing university social media accounts. This research is a qualitative descriptive study, which analyzes the digital content needs of the unesa academic community using the Uses and Gratification theory. The results of this study found that the types of content that audiences are interested in include, (1) edutainment content; (2) content with attractive visuals; (3) content that involves audiences.

Abstract

Komunikasi memegang peranan penting dalam mencapai pembelajaran yang ideal, termasuk dalam kegiatan pembelajaran bagi ABK. ABK sering kali menghadapi kesulitan dalam berkomunikasi dan berinteraksi, terutama ketika berinteraksi dengan kelompok individu yang beragam di masyarakat luas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis komunikasi instruksional yang diterapkan dalam pelatihan produksi konten TikTok di Fira Modeling Disabilitas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami komunikasi instruksional yang terjadi dalam Pelatihan Produksi Konten TikTok untuk Disabilitas, yang diselenggarakan oleh Universitas Negeri Surabaya dengan Fira Modeling Disabilitas sebagai komunitas disabilitas yang heterogen. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan studi dokumen. Berfokus pada proses komunikasi instruksional oleh Hart, Scott, dan McCruskey, yang terbagi menjadi 5 proses instruksional: 1) Menentukan isi dan tujuan instruksional; 2) Mengidentifikasi perilaku awal; 3) Menetapkan strategi instruksional; 4) Mengatur unit instruksional; dan 5) Umpan balik. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa komunikasi instruksional dalam Pelatihan Produksi Konten TikTok di Fira Modeling Disabilitas terlaksana dengan baik, meskipun tidak banyak melibatkan kelompok reguler dalam interaksi teman sebaya. Komunikasi instruksional berjalan optimal dengan menerapkan metode ceramah, diskusi, dan praktik langsung. Media pembelajaran yang digunakan adalah buku saku, powerpoint, dan audiovisual sebagai sarana interaksi antara siswa dan pengajar. Kata Kunci: Komunikasi Instruksional; Disabilitas; TikTok

Abstract

This community service aims to develop a Village Information System (SID) in Prampelan Village, Karangrejo District, Magetan Regency, to support the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by increasing information accessibility and village management efficiency. This website-based SID is built with an open-source platform that supports the management of various village information ranging from development programs, public services, to community activities digitally. The methods used are Science and Technology Diffusion and training, involving active participation from village officials and local communities. The results of the community service show an increase in access to information for the community, as well as an increase in the skills of village officials in managing SID. This program is expected to be a model for other villages to utilize technology in achieving sustainable development goals..Keywords: Village Information System, SDGs, Information Accessibility, Village Management, Open-source CMS

Abstract

This research aims to analyze consumer reception of live streaming on the TikTokShop animal and plant account. TikTok social media is one of the most popularplatforms for users around the world, including Indonesia, which is ranked secondin number of users after America. TikTok Shop is a new innovative feature inIndonesia that provides business opportunities for entrepreneurs to promote theirproducts. However, strict regulations regarding the sale of animals and plants onthe TikTok Shop pose challenges for business owners. This research aims tounderstand how consumers respond and interpret the content presented by sellersin TikTok Shop live streaming. This research uses a qualitative reception analysisapproach using the AIDA model and persuasive communication theory. The resultsof this research are that consumers on TikTok are in a dominant position despitestrict regulations, but feel they agree with the policy. As for consumers who are in anegotiating position, consumers feel doubtful due to the regulations on TikTok, butconsumers feel confident after interacting with sellers via live streaming sales.

Abstract

Maraknya praktik overclaim dalam pemasaran produk perawatan kulit atau skincare di media sosial, terutama Tiktok berpotensi merugikan konsumen dan beresiko membahayakankesehatan kulit. Kehadiran akun edukasi seperti Dokter Detektif menunjukkan bagaimanakredibilitas mampu mempengaruhi pemahaman dan sikap audiens dalam menentukan produkperawatan kulit. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana pengaruh kredibilitas(kepercayaan dan keahlian) seorang dokter influencer terhadap pemahaman kesehatan kulit(translasi, interpretasi dan ekstrapolasi) para pengikut. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengankuesioner yang disebarkan langsung kepada 130 pengikut akun @dokterdetektif di Tiktok.Metode statistik menggunakan analisis regresi linear sederhana dengan pengujian hipotesis UjiT. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kredibilitas Dokter Detektif berpengaruhterhadap pemahaman kesehatan kulit audiens dengan nilai t hitung > t tabel (15,636 > 1,9786)dengan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,001 (< 0,05) dan nilai koefisien determinasi (R²) sebesar0,656 yang berarti memiliki pengaruh kuat/tinggi. Penelitian ini menghimbau audiens untuklebih kritis dalam menerima informasi di media sosial, terutama Tiktok.
