Abstract

The objective of this research is to analyze the influence of foreign capital flows, especially foreign portfolio investment, in influencing the exchange rate in Indonesia. This research uses secondary data sourced from the World Bank Indicator and Bank for International Settlements (BIS) with the main independent variables being foreign portfolio investment and the control variables in the research, namely foreign direct investment, interest rates and inflation and the dependent variable, namely the exchange rate. This research uses multiple regression analysis with time series data from 1991-2020. The results of the analysis found that foreign portfolio investment plays an important role in influencing the exchange rate in Indonesia. However, it has not been able to provide a positive contribution in encouraging the strengthening of the exchange rate in Indonesia. So, the government and monetary authorities need to pay attention to important factors that influence foreign capital flows, especially foreign portfolio investment, namely transaction costs, government restrictions, product specialization or other factors to encourage the strengthening of the exchange rate in Indonesia through foreign portfolio investment.

Abstract

This study offers significant new insights into the relationship between financing risk, as determined by Non-Performing Financing (NPF), and Islamic Commercial Banks' financial performance, as determined by Return On Asset (ROA). In this study, data from 10 Islamic Commercial Banks in Indonesia between 2016 and 2023 are analyzed using panel data regression. The results show that NPF significantly lowers ROA. This suggests that inadequate financing risk management can have a significant negative influence on the profitability of Islamic banks, as the greater the NPF level, the worse the bank's financial performance. The aforementioned discovery underscores the need of executing efficient risk mitigation strategies to guarantee the steadiness and durability of banks' fiscal outcomes. It also emphasizes how Islamic banks must concentrate more on reducing financing risk if they want to increase market share and perform better.

Abstract

This research aims to determine and analyze the extent of the influence of inflation on economic growth in Indonesia, by considering control variables that influence economic growth. This research is descriptive and inductive research. The data used is time series data in Indonesia for the period 1992 to 2022 which was obtained from the World Bank. This research uses cointegration testing and qudratic non-linier regression analysis to determine the impact of inflation on economic growth in Indonesia. From the results of the cointegration test, inflation has a linear influence on economic growth. From the regression results, inflation simultaneously has a significant effect on economic growth. Partially, inflation has a positive and significant influence on economic growth, but at a certain point, inflation has a negative and significant influence on economic growth in Indonesia

Quantitative research type. The object of this research was conducted in all provinces in Indonesia for the period 2018 to 2023. The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) provided the researchers with the secondary data that was used. Using the Chow, Hausman, and hypothesis tests (R2, F, and t tests), panel data regression analysis is the data analysis approach employed. The Fixed Effect Model is the panel data regression estimation model, and the E-Views 12 program is used for data processing. The study's findings show that the factors of economic growth, women's welfare, education, and income all significantly affect Indonesia's female labor force participation rate.. Partially: (1) electricity infrastructure has a positive and significant effect on the level of female labor force participation. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of monetary policy in Indonesia. This study uses the VECM method and shows that monetary policy, through interest rates and money supply, effectively manages inflation, economic growth, and exchange rates in the long run, despite variations in the short-run impact. These results suggest a lag in the transmission of monetary policy and emphasize that the Indonesian economy is heavily influenced by external factors, such as world oil prices and economic growth in developed countries. Rising oil prices depress the rupiah exchange rate and increase inflation, while growth in advanced economies supports rupiah stability. An increase in interest rates and money supply also strengthens the exchange rate, as per Mundell-Fleming theory, making monetary policy an effective tool for macroeconomic stability.
