Abstract

Inheritance is property left by the testator after death. Inheritance in Islam is regulated in inheritance law, which is the law governing the transfer of property from a deceased person to a living family. In Islam, after a person dies, the inheritance he leaves must be immediately distributed to his heirs. But in fact, along with the development of the times, many things have changed, such as the inheritance distribution system in Islam, where people take the initiative to first manage their inheritance. Based on this, the authors are interested in researching this problem with the formulation of the problem, namely how are the practices, impacts, and views of Islamic law regarding the management of inheritance between heirs that occurred in Kayukul Village, Pegasing District, Central Aceh Regency. This research is a qualitative research with field research, the approach used is a normative-sociological approach. The legal materials used are primary legal materials and secondary legal materials sourced from books, scientific works and research results in the field. Data collection techniques used are observation and interviews. The result of this research is that in Gampong Kayukul the management of inheritance between heirs is carried out by working on and managing the estate in the form of a garden together which then the results are used for daily needs. Then the management of this inheritance has a positive impact on the individual or each heir, while the negative impact comes from external. Regarding the view of Islamic law on the management of inheritance between heirs, this is something that is permissible as long as there is a prior agreement between the heirs and there is the pleasure or willingness of all heirs.

Abstract

Mathematical reasoning ability is one of the essential competencies that students must possess in order to understand, analyze, and solve mathematical problems logically and systematically. This study aims to describe the mathematical reasoning ability of Grade VIII students at MTs Nurul Jadid in solving mathematical word problems. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach with six student subjects, grouped into high, medium, and low ability categories. The research instruments consisted of test questions and interview guidelines. In this study, the data analysis techniques included data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The indicators of mathematical reasoning included: (1) making conjectures, (2) formulating problem-solving strategies, (3) performing calculations, and (4) drawing conclusions. The results showed that high-ability students (T1 and T2) were able to meet all four indicators accurately; they could clearly make conjectures, determine problem-solving strategies, perform calculations accurately and systematically, and draw logical conclusions. Medium-ability students (S1 and S2) met only some indicators. Subject S1 fulfilled two indicators, namely making conjectures and determining problem-solving strategies. Subject S2 was only able to make conjectures but failed in the other indicators. Meanwhile, low-ability students (R1 and R2) encountered difficulties in almost all indicators. Although both subjects were able to make conjectures, they were unsuccessful in formulating strategies, performing calculations, and drawing logical conclusions. In some cases, no answers were found at all on their worksheets, indicating complete confusion in starting the problem-solving process.

Abstract

Mathematical problems that are closely related to everyday life are usually presented in the form of a story, which is referred to as a word problem. Completing math word problems is not just answering questions; it also requires students' ability to understand the problem, model a problem into a mathematical sentence, and perform calculations with appropriate mathematical rules. Solving word problems is closely related to mathematical representations. This research is qualitative and aims to describe the ability of students' mathematical representations to solve algebraic story problems. This research involved 16 grade VII students of the Integrated Islamic Middle School Permata Kraksaan Probolinggo. The instruments used in this study were the test questions for the ability to represent mathematical representations and interview guidelines. The subjects in this study were three students, each representing high, medium, and low cognitive ability. The conclusion of this study is that mathematical representation in the aspect of visual representation can be achieved by subjects with high and medium cognitive abilities. The ability to use mathematical representation in the aspect of symbolic representation can be achieved by subjects with high cognitive abilities. The ability of mathematical representation in the verbal aspect has not been achieved by the three subjects because they have not been able to interpret the numbers obtained in solving the problems into words. The reason was because the three subjects were not used to writing final conclusions in the form of words after solving problems.

Abstract

This research is qualitative and aims to describe students' mistakes in solving logarithmic problems based on the Castolan theory. The types of errors in this study are classified into three types: conceptual errors, procedural errors, and technical errors. The subjects in this study were 20 students of class XI of IPA MA Nurul Jadid Paiton Probolinggo. The instrument used in this study is the instrument test questions. The test questions used consisted of five questions in the form of descriptions. The conclusion of this study is that the percentage of errors in class XI IPA MA Nurul Jadid in solving logarithmic questions for conceptual errors is 53%, procedural errors are 31%, and technical errors are 16%. The type of conceptual error that students make in solving test questions that is most prevalent is that they tend to deviate from the formula that applies to logarithms. This happens because students do not fully understand the properties that apply to logarithms. Types of procedural errors made by students in solving test questions, namely students not completing the steps of working on the questions so that the answers obtained are incomplete. Types of technical errors made by students in solving test questions include student errors in the calculation process. Students tend to be less careful when doing calculations, so the final answer obtained is not quite right.

Abstract

This classroom action research aims to enhance students’ enthusiasm and learning outcomes in mathematics, particularly in the topic of Linear Equations in Two Variables (SPLDV), through the implementation of play-based learning media. The research was conducted collaboratively with the mathematics teacher of Grade IX at MTs Nurul Jadid during the 2025/2026 academic year. The study was carried out in two cycles, each consisting of four stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection.Data were collected through observation sheets and achievement tests. The results revealed a significant improvement in students’ learning motivation and participation. During the pre-cycle, many students were less active and frequently appeared sleepy during lessons. After the implementation of play-based learning media, the classroom atmosphere became more interactive and engaging. Students actively participated in discussions, demonstrated higher focus, and were eager to complete learning activities.The average score increased from 68.75 in the pre-cycle to 74.1 in cycle I and 82.5 in cycle II, with a mastery level reaching 90% of the students. These findings indicate that play-based learning media can effectively increase students’ enthusiasm and improve their understanding of mathematical concepts. It also creates a more enjoyable and meaningful learning experience. Therefore, play-based learning media can serve as an alternative innovative strategy for mathematics teachers to foster active and motivated learning environments.

Abstract

This study aims to improve students’ learning outcomes in the topic of function composition through strengthening basic multiplication and simple algebra skills using the Think Pair Share (TPS) learning model. The research was conducted at MAN 1 Probolinggo with 26 students of class XI-A iasisubjects, iselected iusing ipurposive isampling ibased ion ipleliminary ishowing ilow ibasic ialgebra iability iand ilearning iactiveness. iThis study employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design following the Kemmis and McTaggart model, which consists of four stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection. Cycle I was carried out in two meetings focusing on reinforcing basic multiplication skills using the jarimatika method and simple algebra exercises, while Cycle was conducted in one meeting emphasizing collaborative activities and a posttest. Data were collected through observations of learning activities and achievement tests. The results showed a significant improvement in students’ learning outcomes, with the average score increasing from 51.15 in the pretest to 68.73 in Cycle I and further to 81.54 in Cycle Students’ learning activities developed from the “fairly active” to the “very active” category. Thus, the integration of the jarimatika method and algebra exercises supported by the TPS model is effective in improving students’ learning outcomes and engagement in mathematics learning

Abstract

This study aims to improve mathematics learning outcomes in exponential material through the implementation of the Numbered Heads Together (NHT) cooperative learning model. The research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) method conducted in two cycles, with the research subjects being 25 students of class X-E at MAN 1 Probolinggo in the odd semester of the 2025/2026 academic year. Each cycle consisted of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. Research instruments included learning outcome tests and learning activity questionnaires. The success indicator was established with a classical mastery criterion of at least 48% of students obtaining scores ≥75 according to the Minimum Mastery Criteria (KKM). The results showed a gradual increase in learning mastery, namely in the pre-cycle mastery was 0%, cycle I increased to 24% (6 students), and cycle II reached 48% (12 students). This improvement indicates that the NHT model is effective in creating active, collaborative, and student-centered learning. Students demonstrated positive changes in learning activities, courage to ask questions, and group discussion abilities. It can be concluded that the implementation of the Numbered Heads Together learning model is an effective alternative for improving mathematics learning outcomes in exponential material.

Abstract

This study is a Classroom Action Research that applies the Peer Tutor method to improve students’ mathematics learning outcomes on the topic of function composition. The Peer Tutor method is a learning approach that involves higher-achieving students assisting their classmates in understanding the material and completing learning tasks. The problem addressed in this research is the low learning outcomes and lack of student engagement. The study was conducted in two cycles, and each cycle consisted of four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of this research were 24 students of class XI D. The data were analyzed using comparative quantitative descriptive analysis. In the pre-cycle stage, students’ average score was 59.13 with a mastery learning percentage of 37.5%. After implementing the Peer Tutor method in Cycle I, the average score increased to 76.45 with a mastery percentage of 62.5%. In Cycle II, the average score reached 86.67 with 100% mastery learning. The results indicate that the application of the Peer Tutor method can improve students’ learning outcomes and engagement in mathematics, particularly in the topic of function composition.
