Abstract

Background: Human interaction requires com­munication as a transmission of informa­tion, ideas, emotions, skills, and so on. Com­mu­nica­tion occurs when a source conveys a message to the recipient with a conscious in­ten­tion to influ­ence the recipient's behavior. One of the pro­blems in social communication is bully­ing. Bully­ing or harassment can be through words or through actions that aim to make the opponent's mental fall and pressure. The purpose of this study was to analyze the factors that influence bullying against depres­sion with the Health Belief Model and Social Cognitive Theory.Subjects and Method: This was a cross-sectio­nal study conducted in junior high schools in Surakarta, in December 2019. A total sample of 250 adolescents was selected by simple random sampling. The dependent variable was bullying. The inde­pen­dent variables were perceived sus­ceptibility, perceived severity, cues to action, perceived threat, perceived benefit, perceived barrier, self-efficacy, depres­sion, academic activi­ties, and communication. The data were collected by questionnaire and analyzed by a multiple multilevel logistic regres­sion run on Stata 13.Results: Bullying increased depression (b= 3.69; 95% CI= 1.51 to 9.00; p= 0.004) and poor communication (b= 4.95; 95% CI= 2.24 to 10.89; p <0.001). Bullying decreased academic achievement (b= - 5.68; 95% CI= -12.33 to -2.62; p<0.001). School had strong contextual effect on depression with ICC= ICC= 20.91%.Conclusion: Bullying increases depression and poor communication. Bullying decreases academic achievement. Abstract

Aphasia is a language disorder that often occurs in patients after a stroke. Broca's aphasia is a type of aphasia characterized by naming difficulties in around 30% of cases. Speech therapy is the main intervention for improving language skills. One method that can be used is the PACE (Promoting Aphasics' Communicative Effectiveness). This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the Promoting Aphasics' Communicative Effectiveness (PACE) method on improving the ability to word-level naming in patients with Broca's aphasia in Surakarta Prefecture. This research design is a single-group, pre-test-post-test, pre-experimental design. The study was conducted on eight patients with Broca's aphasia, using the total sampling technique. The instruments used were the PACE method and the word-level naming part of the TADIR test.

Abstract

Background: Down syndrome (SD) is the most common genetic disorder and the easiest to identify. SD or better known as the genetic disorder trisomy, where there is an extra chromosome on chromosome 21. Objectives: Analyzing syntax abilities in Down Syndrome children and learning materials in writing scientific research as well as providing additional information regarding syntax abilities in Down Syndrome children. Methods: The research carried out is a systematic review research. This research uses data from previous research. A quantitative systematic review combines findings from various independent studies, and produces a statistical summary of those findings (Last, 2001 in Murti, 2018). Results: Down syndrome children show conditions of intellectual problems that are continuous with language problems. Where cognitive abilities are the main capital in communication. Conclusion: Syntax communication abilities create core impairments in the narratives of children with Down syndrome. Syntax difficulties and deficits in global executive function when compared with children with other typical development.. Keywords: Syntax Language, Down syndrome, Systematic review

Abstract

This research aims to identify the profile of syntactic complexity abilities in elementary school aged 7 - 8 years in Surakarta. This research uses a quantitative approach with a survey-based descriptive design using multi-stage sampling which focuses on observing a single variable. Each respondent's sentence complexity will be calculated using analysis of language samples obtained from the results of the conversation, and the results will be analyzed descriptively statistically. The results show that interrogative, complex and compound-complex sentences are in the low group. Complete sentences, subject, predicate, object, information, declarative, simple, compound, active and passive are in the medium group. The syntactic abilities of children aged 7-8 years are mostly adequate, but have not yet reached their maximum potential. The role of teachers, speech therapists, and parents is important in optimizing this development through active language stimulation, syntactic structure practice, and early detection, taking into account environmental and social factors.

Abstract

Pelayanan terapi wicara merupakan salah satu bentuk layanan kesehatan yang berfokus pada penanganan gangguan bahasa, bicara, suara, irama kelancaran, makan, dan menelan. Kualitas pelayanan terapi wicara sangat penting untuk memastikan hasil penanganan yang optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh kualitas pelayanan terapi wicara terhadap persepsi masyarakat di Karesidenan Surakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif dengan pendekatan cross-sectional. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 30 orang. Data dianalisis menggunakan metode univariat dan bivariat untuk melihat hubungan antara variabel kualitas pelayanan dan persepsi masyarakat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 83,3% responden menilai kualitas pelayanan terapi wicara dalam kategori sangat baik, sedangkan 16,7% menilainya baik. Persepsi masyarakat terhadap pelayanan terapi wicara juga menunjukkan hasil positif, dengan 56,7% responden menilai dalam kategori sangat baik dan 43,3% dalam kategori baik. Analisis korelasi menunjukkan hubungan positif antara kualitas pelayanan terapi wicara dan persepsi masyarakat dengan nilai koefisien korelasi r = 0,598, yang menunjukkan korelasi dalam kategori sedang. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah terdapat pengaruh positif antara kualitas pelayanan terapi wicara dan persepsi masyarakat di Karesidenan Surakarta. Semakin baik kualitas pelayanan yang diberikan, semakin positif pula persepsi masyarakat terhadap terapi wicara.

Abstract

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) merupakan gangguan perkembangan yang memengaruhi komunikasi dan interaksi sosial, termasuk keterbatasan kosakata yang berdampak pada kemampuan berkomunikasi. Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS) adalah metode berbasis gambar yang dapat membantu meningkatkan kosakata anak dengan ASD. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji efektivitas PECS dalam meningkatkan kosakata anak dengan ASD di Forum Buah Hati Berseri, Surakarta. Penelitian menggunakan desain kuantitatif dengan eksperimen pretest-posttest satu kelompok. Pengukuran dilakukan menggunakan Northwestern Syntax Screening Test (NSST) sebelum dan setelah intervensi. Analisis data menggunakan uji Paired T-Test menunjukkan hasil signifikan (p = 0,000; p < 0,05), yang mengindikasikan peningkatan kosakata secara signifikan setelah penggunaan Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS). Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa PECS efektif sebagai metode intervensi dalam meningkatkan kosakata anak dengan ASD, sehingga dapat dijadikan alternatif dalam terapi bahasa anak dengan gangguan komunikasi. Abstract

Penguasaan kosakata merupakan komponen fundamental dalam perkembangan bahasa anak. Salah satu faktor penting yang dapat mempengaruhi penguasaan kosakata pada anak dengan disabilitas intelektual adalah motivasi orangtua. Menurut (WHO) 2018, pravelensi disabilitas intelektual di Indonesia pada saat ini sekitar 1-3% dari populasi. Tujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan motivasi orangtua dengan penguasaan kosakata pada anak disabilitas intelektual di SLB Surakarta. Metode Penelitian desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah dengan menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif yang bersifat cross sectional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu 30 anak Disabilitas Intelektual di SLB Panca Bakti Mulia, SLB B YAAT Surakarta, dan SLB-C YPSLB Kerten Surakarta. Pengambilan sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik sampling purpose sampling. Hasil uji menggunakan spearman rank, didapatkan hasil ρ sebesar 0.049 yang artinya bahwa Ha diterima, karena nilai (ρ<0.050). Kesimpulannya ada hubungan antara motivasi orangtua dengan penguasaan kosakata. Korelasi ini bersifat positif, yang berarti semakin tinggi motivasi orangtua, semakin tinggi pula penguasaan kosakata.

Abstract

Background: Developmental Language Disorder is an internationally recognized diagnostic term for people who have difficulty understanding and using language. Objectives: To analyze pragmatic abilities in children with Developmental Language Disorder and learning materials in writing scientific research while providing additional information about pragmatic abilities in children with Developmental Language Disorder. Methods: The research conducted is a systematic review study. This study uses data from previous studies. A quantitative systematic review combines findings from various independent studies, and produces a statistical summary of the findings (Last, 2001 in Murti, 2018). Results: Children with Developmental Language Disorder show a continuous language development condition with language problems. Where cognitive abilities are the main capital in communication. Conclusion: pragmatics is for talking, informing something and expressing feelings. Pragmatics is used to know what to say, how to say it and when is the right time to say a sentence.
