Abstract

Sejak sebelum lahir anak melalui proses pertumbuhan dan perkembangan. Kemudian anak mengalami proses belajar setelah lahir. Asupan gizi yang cukup dan memenuhi kebutuhan fisik dan mental anak mempunyai dampak yang signifikan terhadap pertumbuhan dan perkembangan otak serta organ perkembangan lainnya. Stunting adalah gangguan pertumbuhan yang terbukti menyatakan adanya kegagalan pertumbuhan akibat kekurangan gizi kronis pada anak. Stunting yang terjadi pada anak beresiko memiliki defisit pada kognitif sehingga keterbatasan kemampuan kognitif akan berpengaruh pada perkembangan bahasa anak. Hal tersebut disebabkan karena pemrosesan bahasa memerlukan kemampuan kognitif yang baik. Pada tahun 2021 hasil Survei Status Gizi Indonesia (SSGI) menyatakan 2,24% anak di Indonesia mengalami stunting, sedangkan pada tahun 2018 sejumlah 30,8% turun 6,4% di tahun 2021. Dengan besarnya prevalensi tersebut, penelitian bermaksud untuk mencari tahu hubungan antara stunting dengan perkembangan bahasa dan bagaimana peran terapis wicara dalam menangani kasus tersebut. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif analitik kuantitatif berdasarkan studi literature review, jurnal yang didapatkan dari google scholer, pubmed, wiley, garuda, joernal voice of midwifery dengan tahun penelitian yang terbaru yaitu dari 5 tahun terakhir. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari lima jurnal yang telah direview didapatkan hasil bahwa kelima jurnal menyatakan adanya hubungan stunting dan perkembangan bahasa anak secara signifikan. Kesimpulan yang didapatkan dari penelitian ini adalah terdapat hubungan stunting dengan perkembangan bahasa.

Abstract

Children under five years old are an important period in a child's developing body. Child growth and development is a continuous process, not only experiencing physical growth, brain development, there is also a learning process in the development of intelligence, motor skills, speech, language and social and independence. Fulfillment of nutrition is very necessary to support good child growth and development.The purpose of this study was to analyze the factors that influence the language development of preschool children in Karanganyar Regency, Central Java. Subjects and Methods: This study used a cross-sectional research design, which was conducted in Karanganyar Regency, Central Java from April to August 2024. A sample of 112 children was selected using a purposive sampling technique. The dependent variable is language development. The independent variables are cognitive ability, stunting, breastfeeding, immunization and gender. Data collection using questionnaires and analyzed by logistic regression using Stata 13. Results: The language development of preschool children can be delayed in children with cognitive abilities (b = 2.52; 95% CI = 0.03 to = 0.28; p = 0.013), stunting (b = 2.82; 95% CI = 0.05 to 0.30; p = 0.006), non-exclusive breastfeeding (b = 2.97; 95% CI = 0.07 to 0.38; p = 0.004), in boys (b = 7.2; 95% CI = 0.33 to 0.28; p <0.001), and children with incomplete immunization. Conclusion: The language development of preschool children is related to children's cognitive abilities, the incidence of stunting, non-exclusive breastfeeding, incomplete immunization and male gender.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh tantangan yang dihadapi oleh profesi terapis wicara akibat minimnya data yang tersedia di Indonesia dan ketidaktersediaan alat asesmen klinis standar yang valid. Hal ini menekankan pentingnya memiliki data yang terstruktur dan jelas mengenai kecepatan bicara dalam suatu bahasa tertentu. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menyajikan data dan menetapkan standar norma awal mengenai analisis kecepatan bicara orang dewasa normal. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif deskriptif dan univariat. Lokasi penelitian adalah di Kota Surakarta. Sampel penelitian adalah orang dewasa berusia 20-55 tahun (37 pria dan 26 wanita) sebanyak 63 responden yang dipilih berdasarkan kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan mengisi kuesioner dan pengambilan sampel bicara. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa kecepatan bicara tertinggi mencapai 149 kata dan 333 suku kata per menit, sedangkan terendah 123 kata dan 276 suku kata per menit. Rata-rata tertinggi adalah 118.89 kata dan 259.22 suku kata per menit, terendah 104.44 kata dan 225.44 suku kata per menit. Perempuan cenderung berbicara lebih cepat dibandingkan laki-laki. Peneliti menyimpulkan bahwa kecepatan bicara orang dewasa di Surakarta tergolong sedang berdasarkan standar norma yang telah dibuat. Hal ini dapat dijadikan acuan klinis dalam asesmen, intervensi, dan evaluasi penanganan terkait irama kelancaran dan bidang-bidang lain dalam terapi wicara.

Abstract

Aphasia is a language disorder that often occurs in patients after a stroke. Broca's aphasia is a type of aphasia characterized by naming difficulties in around 30% of cases. Speech therapy is the main intervention for improving language skills. One method that can be used is the PACE (Promoting Aphasics' Communicative Effectiveness). This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the Promoting Aphasics' Communicative Effectiveness (PACE) method on improving the ability to word-level naming in patients with Broca's aphasia in Surakarta Prefecture. This research design is a single-group, pre-test-post-test, pre-experimental design. The study was conducted on eight patients with Broca's aphasia, using the total sampling technique. The instruments used were the PACE method and the word-level naming part of the TADIR test.

Abstract

Background: Family is a place for children to grow and develop. The family environment is the oldest educational institution which is informal in nature, which is first and foremost experienced by children as well as natural educational institutions (Wahid, et al., 2020). Literacy is important in child development. Literacy is the absorption of information in the form of knowledge from text and orally, to develop cognitive abilities, through reading and writing (Arsa, et al., 2019). Parents must be able to increase their knowledge and abilities in creating a conducive family environment and conditions to support the child's development process (Framanta, 2020). Objectives: This study aims to determine the influence of the family environment on literacy ability in 1st grade students at Islamic school in Surakarta. Methods: This study used a cross sectional approach. The sampling technique in this study was purposive sampling. The collected data will be analyzed by univariate and bivariate analysis using the Kendall Tau test. Results: The results of bivariate analysis using the Kendall Tau test indicated a p value of 0.000 where p <0.05 which means that the family environment influences literacy skills. Abstract

Background: Literacy is a very important issue in the era of Industrial Revolution 4.0. PISA (Program for International Student Assessment) states that Indonesia is ranked 64 out of 65 countries in terms of literacy in children. To develop literacy skills from an early age, children must be encouraged to engage in lifelong learning (UNESCO, 2017). In literacy there are aspects of language that influence reading, namely syntax. This syntactic ability has an important role in early child development, This is needed so that children can compose sentences in a good and correct structure. Objectives: This Research to determine the correlation between syntactic skills and early literacy skills in grade 2 children at SD Negeri 1 Pilang, Randublatung, Blora. Methods: The type of research used in this study is quantitative with Cross sectional research design. The population of this study was grade 2 students at SD Negeri 1 Pilang, Randublatung, Blora. The study sample was 54 grade 2 children. Data analysis using Kendall Tau Test. Results: The results of the analysis showed that there was a relationship between syntactic skills and early literacy skills in grade 2 children at SD Negeri 1 Pilang, Randublatung, Blora (p value of 0.000). Conclusion: There is a relationship between syntactic skills and early literacy skills in grade 2 children at SD Negeri 1 Pilang, Randublatung, Blora. Abstract

COVID-19 has created unprecedented challenges in society with regard to the safety of healthcare personnel and the jeopardizing of the public health system. This can happen if healthcare facilities do not increase their vigilance in protecting healthcare workers. This study is a quantitative, observational and analytical study of 200 people in Central Java. The data analysis used was path analysis, and it was found that the quality of speech therapy services increased (b = 2.58 units; 95% CI = 1.90 to 3.27; p < 0.001), and the level of satisfaction of speech therapy patients increased (b = 1.28 units; 95% CI = 0.61 to 1.95; p < 0.001). In contrast, therapeutic motivation decreased (b = 0.63; 95% CI = 1.21 to -0.05; p=0.033). The conclusion of this study is an increase in service quality, therapeutic motivation and patient satisfaction in speech therapy indirectly influenced by quality and motivation theory.

Abstract

Narrative is a type of discourse that aims to clearly describe to the reader an event that occured at a given time. To write a narrative is to recount an event or fact that occured at a given time, using written language. Such storytelling activity can help improve literacy. Literacy refers to an individual's capacity to comprehend and interpret information via reading and writing tasks. Students possessing proficient reading and writing abilities will find it easier to understand and articulate their thoughts. This study aimed to ascertain the correlation between storytelling skills and literacy among second-grade primary school pupils in Surakarta. This study employed a quantitative research methodology with a cross-sectional design and included one test. Data were gathered through story and literacy assessment sheets. The sample was acquired by quota sampling methods, comprising 50 individuals. The data analysis employed the parametric Shapiro-Wilk statistical and Spearman's Rank correlation tests. According to the data analysis findings utilizing Spearman's rank, the p-value (Sig.) is 0.002, indicating that p<0.05; thus, we may conclude that a significant link exists between storytelling skill and literacy. A correlation exists between narrative proficiency and literacy among second-grade elementary students in Surakarta.

Abstract

Pelayanan terapi wicara merupakan salah satu bentuk layanan kesehatan yang berfokus pada penanganan gangguan bahasa, bicara, suara, irama kelancaran, makan, dan menelan. Kualitas pelayanan terapi wicara sangat penting untuk memastikan hasil penanganan yang optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh kualitas pelayanan terapi wicara terhadap persepsi masyarakat di Karesidenan Surakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif dengan pendekatan cross-sectional. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 30 orang. Data dianalisis menggunakan metode univariat dan bivariat untuk melihat hubungan antara variabel kualitas pelayanan dan persepsi masyarakat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 83,3% responden menilai kualitas pelayanan terapi wicara dalam kategori sangat baik, sedangkan 16,7% menilainya baik. Persepsi masyarakat terhadap pelayanan terapi wicara juga menunjukkan hasil positif, dengan 56,7% responden menilai dalam kategori sangat baik dan 43,3% dalam kategori baik. Analisis korelasi menunjukkan hubungan positif antara kualitas pelayanan terapi wicara dan persepsi masyarakat dengan nilai koefisien korelasi r = 0,598, yang menunjukkan korelasi dalam kategori sedang. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah terdapat pengaruh positif antara kualitas pelayanan terapi wicara dan persepsi masyarakat di Karesidenan Surakarta. Semakin baik kualitas pelayanan yang diberikan, semakin positif pula persepsi masyarakat terhadap terapi wicara.
