Abstract

This study aims to analyze the financial performance of PT Indo Tambangraya Megah (ITMG), which represents the energy sector on the Indonesia Stock Exchange, during the period 2019–2024. An analysis of key financial ratios, including liquidity, solvency, activity, profitability, and market ratios (PER and PBV), was used to assess the stability and effectiveness of the company's performance. The results of the analysis show that ITMG has high liquidity, a conservative capital structure, and strong profitability despite fluctuations in line with global coal price dynamics. The activity ratio indicates good operational efficiency, while the relatively low market valuation (PER and PBV) indicates potential undervaluation. Overall, ITMG's financial position is considered healthy and stable compared to the energy sector average, making it a stock worth considering for medium to long-term investment, although the risks of energy transition and global commodity price volatility need to be watched. Abstract

This study is motivated by the limited number of studies that examine longitudinal changes in the financial performance of property companies, particularly in the post–COVID-19 period. Despite its strategic role in the national economy through its contribution to Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and its strong linkages with related sectors such as construction, banking, and building materials, empirical evidence on firm-level financial dynamics in this sector remains scarce. This study aims to analyze the financial performance of PT Bumi Serpong Damai Tbk (BSDE) during the 2019–2024 period using financial ratio analysis, including liquidity, solvency, activity, profitability, and market ratios. The study employs a descriptive quantitative approach with a single-firm case design. BSDE was purposively selected based on the availability and completeness of its published financial statements. The data were obtained from annual financial reports released by the Indonesia Stock Exchange, supported by macroeconomic data from Bank Indonesia and Statistics Indonesia. The analysis was conducted through the calculation of financial ratios and trend interpretation over a six-year observation period. The results indicate that BSDE’s financial performance experienced fluctuations during the pandemic period but showed a significant recovery after 2022. Profitability and market ratios improved, while liquidity and solvency ratios reflected a strengthening of the company’s capital structure. These findings highlight the importance of balanced financing decisions and asset efficiency in maintaining corporate financial stability. This study provides practical insights for investors and policymakers in assessing the resilience of Indonesia’s property sector.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of firm value, profitability, and systematic risk on stock returns of manufacturing firms consistently included in the LQ45 index on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during 2018–2024. This study employs a quantitative approach using panel data regression analysis. The sample consists of 14 firms selected based on purposive sampling criteria. Firm value is measured by Price to Book Value (PBV), profitability by Return on Equity (ROE), and systematic risk is measured by beta, estimated from monthly stock returns, with market returns proxied by the IHSG. The results indicate that firm value has a positive and significant effect on stock returns, suggesting that higher market valuation reflects stronger investor confidence. In contrast, profitability and systematic risk do not have a significant effect on stock returns. The insignificance of ROE indicates that investors may not rely solely on profitability indicators, while the insignificance of beta suggests that systematic risk may not be a primary consideration in this sample. Overall, the findings provide limited but specific empirical evidence regarding stock return determinants in manufacturing firms within the LQ45 index during the 2018–2024 period.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of financial inclusion, digital financial literacy, and risk perception on investment decisions in Generation Z in Greater Jakarta. The background of the research is based on the increasing number of young investors in the Indonesian capital market, but there is still a gap between access to finance, digital-financial capabilities, and the quality of investment decisions. This study uses a quantitative approach with purposive sampling techniques. The respondents of the study were 244 Generation Z aged 18-29 years old who were domiciled in Greater Jakarta, had experience investing in the capital market, and used financial or digital investment applications. The data was analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling based on Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with the help of SmartPLS. The results of the study show that financial inclusion has a positive and significant effect on investment decisions. Digital financial literacy also has a positive and significant effect on investment decisions. In addition, risk perception has been proven to have a positive and significant effect on investment decisions. The R-square value of 0.652 shows that the three variables are able to explain 65.2% of the variation in investment decisions. These findings confirm that Generation Z's investment decisions are influenced by the ease of access to finance, the ability to understand digital financial services, and the ability to evaluate investment risks.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effects of profitability, capital structure, and investment decisions on firm value. Firm value is an important indicator reflecting investor perceptions of corporate performance and future prospects, particularly in technology-related telecommunication companies. The study uses a quantitative approach with secondary data obtained from the audited financial statements of telecommunication subsector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during 2022-2024. The research variables consist of firm value measured by Price to Book Value (PBV), profitability measured by Return on Assets (ROA), capital structure measured by Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), and investment decisions measured by Price Earnings Ratio (PER). The data, comprising 69 firm-year observations, were analyzed using descriptive statistics, multicollinearity testing, simultaneous testing, coefficient of determination, and multiple regression with IBM SPSS Statistics 22. The results show that profitability has a positive and significant effect on firm value, while investment decisions also have a positive and significant effect on firm value. In contrast, capital structure has no significant effect on firm value. Profitability is the most dominant variable affecting firm value. These findings imply that companies should strengthen profitability and improve investment quality to enhance market valuation, while investors may use profitability and investment decision indicators as important considerations in investment analysis.

Abstract

This study investigates whether sales growth, profitability, and firm size are associated with firm value among small and medium-sized enterprise issuers listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange Acceleration Board, a market segment characterized by relatively limited public information and potentially higher information asymmetry. Using a quantitative explanatory design, the study analyzed a balanced panel of 13 issuers observed over the 2022–2024 period, producing 39 firm-year observations. Firm value was measured using Tobin’s Q, sales growth was calculated from annual changes in sales, profitability was proxied by return on assets, and firm size was measured using the natural logarithm of total assets. Panel-model selection procedures supported the use of a pooled ordinary least squares model. The results showed that sales growth and profitability had negative but statistically non-detectable associations with firm value, whereas firm size had a positive but statistically non-detectable association. The predictors were also not jointly significant, and the model demonstrated limited explanatory power. These findings suggest that conventional accounting-based indicators may not function as sufficiently strong standalone signals of market valuation within a small and information-constrained public-equity environment. The study contributes to signaling theory by indicating that the effectiveness of financial signals is context dependent and may be shaped by market characteristics, information credibility, and investors’ capacity to interpret firm-level indicators. The practical implication is that managers, investors, and regulators should complement sales growth, profitability, and firm size with information on disclosure quality, market liquidity, governance, and long-term business prospects when evaluating Acceleration Board issuers.
