Abstract

This study delves into the mainstreaming of the concept of legal protection for child labor in Indonesia, drawing insights from the International Labour Organization (ILO) Conventions. Child labor remains a global challenge, impacting the physical, psychological, and social development of children who engage in work during their school years. Beyond mere employment for wages, the issue involves elements of exploitation, hazardous working conditions, and restricted access to education. Certain forms of child labor even qualify as the most intolerable, necessitating urgent attention. The primary objective of this research is to analyze, identify, and compare the legal protection mechanisms for child labor in Indonesia based on the ILO Conventions. Employing a normative legal study methodology, the research employs a dual approach, combining comparative law study and statute analysis. By scrutinizing the legal protection practices within the context of Indonesian law and international law, the study aims to shed light on disparities, commonalities, and potential areas for improvement. Conducting an in-depth examination without relying on fieldwork, the study utilizes a literature review and document study, drawing on various sources from both online and printed materials. Through this comprehensive exploration, the research seeks to contribute to a nuanced understanding of the mainstreaming of legal protections for child labor in Indonesia. By highlighting key findings, this study aims to inform policy discussions, foster awareness, and facilitate the development of more effective measures to safeguard the rights and well-being of children involved in labor activities in the Indonesian context.

Abstract

History lessons are one of the lessons that students are less interested in. Many students feel bored and not enthusiastic about learning. This happens due to many factors, including the lack of precise teaching methods and media teachers use. So students become unmotivated to learn. This condition challenges Islamic Cultural History teachers to increase students' enthusiasm and motivation to learn Islamic Cultural History. This research aims to analyze the teaching skills of Islamic Cultural History teachers in increasing students' learning motivation at the madrasah level in Indonesia. This research uses qualitative research methods with a descriptive approach. Data sources were taken from fifteen informants through in-depth interviews who were selected using techniques of purposive sampling, all informants are active students, Islamic Cultural History teachers, school principals, and curriculum representatives. All interview results were then analyzed thematically using techniques by Milles and Huberman. The results of the analysis show that firstly, there are Islamic Cultural History teachers' teaching skills that are good in increasing students' learning motivation as seen from Islamic Cultural History teachers who know and continually study teaching skills. Second, the learning planning is quite good because the Islamic Cultural History teacher has prepared learning tools as a form of learning planning before the teacher teaches. The results of this research can be used as an initial reference for future researchers in studying this problem in different contexts and issues.

Abstract

he community service program titled “Sehati (Sehat Tanpa PTM Periksa Kesehatan Lagi)” was implemented in response to the high prevalence of Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) in Gatak Village, Ngawen District. The program aimed to raise awareness and enhance public understanding of the importance of a healthy lifestyle and early detection of NCDs such as hypertension, diabetes, uric acid, and high cholesterol. The methods employed included health education, physical activity through regular aerobic exercises, free health screenings, and blood donation events. Activities were carried out in a participatory and interactive manner, involving local residents at every stage, from outreach to mentoring. The results demonstrated a significant improvement in knowledge, attitudes, and health-related behaviors among the community. Around 50 individuals regularly participated in weekly exercise sessions, and the health screenings showed improvements in key indicators for many participants. The blood donation event, conducted in collaboration with the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI), successfully collected 80 bags of blood and raised awareness about the social and health benefits of blood donation. Comprehensive evaluation revealed that this educational approach combined with direct intervention was effective in promoting healthy behavior changes and presented opportunities for sustainable local health policy development. The success of this program highlights the effectiveness of integrating education, screening, and community empowerment as a strategy to reduce NCD rates in rural areas.
