Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perkembangan dan perspektif baru dalam akomodasi berkemah, yang dikenal dengan istilah glamping (glamour-camping), sebagai sebuah perkembangan dari aktivitas kemah tradisional. Penelitian ini juga memberi manfaat kepada para pengelola glamping dalam menentukan arah dan pengembangan desain dan kebutuhan penggunanya.Metode yang digunakan adalah dengan melakukan kuesioner terhadap 100 pengguna glamping di Bali berdasarkan keinginan dan pengalaman mereka terhadap akomodasi glamping. Data kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif dengan menekankan kebenaran yang didapat.  Temuan dalam penelitian ini adalah bahwa akomodasi glamping yang menarik dan inovatif dari segi arsitektur, interior dan fasilitas ternyata menjadi salah satu faktor yang mendukung peningkatan keinginan masyarakat untuk berkemah. Temuan ini juga mengindikasi bahwa glamping telah menjadi trend baru bagi masyarakat untuk menikmati alam terbuka dengan standar kenyamanan layaknya menginap di hotel. Kata kunci : akomodasi, berkemah, glamping, arsitektur, interior, fasilitas.

Abstract

Menjadi kreatif pada anak dan remaja sesungguhnya dapat berawal dari apapun. Terkadang ide dalam sebuah desain dapat muncul melalui permainan, percobaan dan pengalaman yang pernah dialami atau dirasakan sebelumnya. Namun tingkat kreativitas seringkali meredup karena sedikitnya kesempatan atau lingkungan yang kurang mendukung. Selain itu, terbatasnya kegiatan yang dapat dilakukan menjadikan ide kretif mereka tidak tersalurkan dengan baik sehingga diperlukan adanya kegiatan dalam menemukan manfaat dan upaya mendorong berkembangnya potensi kreativitas pada anak dan remaja. Kegiatan sosialisasi dan workshop pengabdian masyarakat program studi Desain Interior Sekolah Tinggi Desain Bali ini dilakukan di Yayasan Rumah Impian kota Denpasar pada tanggal 23 September 2019 dengan tujuan mengajak peserta untuk memunculkan kreativitas mereka melalui penggunaan material, tekstur atau bentuk dalam membuat sebuah ide awal merancang sebuah objek atau desain. Metode yang dilakukan dalam kegiatan ini adalah metode persentasi dan workshop yang akan dibagi menjadi beberapa tahapan. Hasil yang didapat dalam kegiatan ini adalah peserta memahami bahwa menjadi kreatif dapat muncul dari hal-hal sederhana di sekitarnya.

Abstract

The outbreak of the Covid19 virus has impacted the world. In Indonesia, 3.512 people are infected as of April 10, 2020. One of the WHO's advice on the use of masks for the community, was supported by Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (Kemenparekraf) with Gerakan Masker Kain ( Cloth Mask Movement). Many people in Indonesia do not understand the importance of using masks, and it makes STD Bali held Gerakan 1000 Masker (1000 Masks Movement ) with students and lectures involved in production and distribution in several areas in Bali. Gerakan 1000 Masker is important considering that not many people have the awareness and education to use masks against the Covid19 outbreak. Gerakan 1000 Masker Sekolah Tinggi Desain Bali, were carried out in several areas and foundations such as Yayasan Kakak Asuh Bali Karangasem on April 20, 2020 with the aim of giving masks to underprivileged children in Karangasem and raising their awareness together against Covid19 outbreak.

Abstract

The purpose of this report is to provide an overview of the preparation and implementation of Community Service activities at the Bali Institute of Design and Business in making murals at the Astagina Padangsambian Klod Denpasar field. The benefit of this report is that it provides an overview of the process of preparing and working on a mural as a form of cultural re-interpretation which also supports the vision and mission of Denpasar City as a cultural-minded creative city. The method used in the process and work of this Community Service is to prepare designs inspired by Balinese culture such as kite, congklak, tajog, Barong dance, etc. which are then visualized through a mural with a flat design with attractive colors. The results of the Community Service activities through the reinterpretation of Balinese culture on the mural at Astagina Field, Padangsambian Klod, give a new color to the Astagina field walls as well as provide cultural education to the local community and the general public.

Abstract

Tujuan dari laporan ini adalah untuk memberikan analisis terhadap desain mural yang dipengaruhi oleh karakter tempat. Laporan ini akan menganalisis desain mural sebagai bagian dari kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat Institut Desain dan Bisnis Bali dalam pembuatan mural di objek wisata Grembengan Desa Bongan Tabanan. Manfaat dari laporan ini adalah memberikan analisis mural sebagai salah satu media pemberi nilai baru bagi sebuah ruang publik, baik berupa media promosi, pesan visual dan edukasi. Laporan ini mengkaji bagaimana bentuk penyampaian desain mural berdasarkan karakter tempat yang dilihat dari bentuk visual, corak, teknik, fungsi serta makna yang ingin disampaikan dalam kegiatan PkM Mural di Objek Wisata Grembengan Desa Bongan ini. Manfaat yang dihasilkan melalui laporan ini adalah mural dapat dijadikan sebagai sebuah ilustrasi visual ruang publik yang jika diaplikasikan secara bijak dan tepat sasaran akan menghasilkan sebuah media aktivasi ruang itu sendiri. Desain mural juga sebaiknya mempertimbangkan karakter tempat yang kemudian diterapkan pada bentuk desain dan teknik penyampaian.

Abstract

The purpose of this report is to provide an explanation of the visibility, legibility and readability aspects in the design of the Kahyangan Kaja Temple sign board, Panjer Village, Denpasar. This report is part of the Community Service activities of the Bali Design and Business Institute in the manufacture of Environmental Facilities at Banjar Maniksaga, Panjer Village, Denpasar. The benefit of this report is that it pays attention to the condition of design facilities in public spaces, one of which is the Kahyangan Kaja Temple sign board which is owned by the people of Panjer Village as well as giving consideration in designing the public space sign board to the public. This report is carried out using a descriptive analysis method to describe the considerations of the visibility, legibility and readability aspects in terms of material selection, typography and placement in the design. With these considerations, it is hoped that the public will be more aware of the existence of the Kahyangan Temple and at the same time support the aesthetics of the Kahyangan Temple in Panjer Village, Denpasar, as well as provide an overview of the design aspects that support the optimization of the function of a nameplate in a public space. Abstract

Tujuan dari laporan ini adalah untuk memberikan analisis terhadap prinsip desain dalam penataan dekorasi interior homestay untuk dapat bersaing di pasar. Laporan ini sebagai bagian dari kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat Institut Desain dan Bisnis Bali dalam Pelatihan dan Pendampingan SDM Desa Wisata Bongan Tabanan. Manfaat dari laporan ini adalah memberikan gambaran bagaimana menata dekorasi sebuah homestay dengan prinsip desain untuk meningkatkan kualitas kenyamanan, estetika serta dapat menjadi media promosi bagi pengelola homestay. Laporan ini mengkaji bagaimana prinsip desain dalam interior dipertimbangkan sebagai bagian dari penataan desain interior homestay yang disampaikan dalam kegiatan PkM di Desa wisata Bongan ini. Laporan ini memberikan manfaat bagi pengelola homestay untuk menata dekorasi interior homestay menggunakan prinsip desain. Prinsip desain dalam penataan dekorasi interior homestay ini diharapkan dapat menjadi acuan penataan interior homestay untuk desa wisata.

Abstract

The existence of indigenous peoples is one of the important things in supporting the sustainability of traditional values, especially those related to the design of residential buildings. The customary village of Muncan Village, Karangasem is one of the traditional villages in Bali where the existence of indigenous peoples still exists. This can be seen from the lives of these indigenous peoples in carrying out their daily lives still following the customs and rules contained in the region. Seeing the high existence of indigenous peoples in the village, it is necessary to examine the relationship of the existence of indigenous peoples to the development of architecture and interiors in these traditional Balinese houses. The purpose of this study was to determine the role of indigenous peoples in preserving traditional Balinese houses. This study uses a method with a qualitative approach and a cultural studies perspective. The results of this study indicate that the existence of indigenous peoples in the village of Muncan affects the architectural and interior development of their homes. This can be seen from the mindset of the community as well as various activities that contain elements of religion, tradition and belief that are applied to the architectural design of their residences. Broadly speaking, the architectural design of the residence still applies the concept of traditional Balinese architecture but has developed only in the form of materials and forms following developments according to the latest science and technology. Abstract

Traditional markets in Bali reflect the richness of local culture closely related to people's daily lives. Along with the times and demands for progress, these markets are transforming through the modernization of architectural and interior design. This modernization impacts local cultural heritage, changing how people interact with markets and the traditional values that Balinese people have long upheld. Therefore, research on the transformation of local cultural values in the modernization of architectural and interior design in traditional Balinese markets becomes relevant to understanding the implications and evaluating the preservation and adjustment efforts needed to maintain a unique cultural identity. The main focus is on changes in building design that influence the user experience of the building and the sustainability of cultural heritage as well as providing insight into emerging challenges and opportunities as well as an understanding of efforts to preserve local cultural values. This study will use a qualitative methodology to investigate changes in aesthetic and cultural dimensions. The results of this study demonstrate that cultural values change due to modern buildings being constructed in Bali's traditional marketplaces. The building's modernization has an impact on everyday activities, including the waning of the bargaining culture, the consumer behavior when visiting the upper floors, the traders' behavior regarding the interior conditions of the market, the culture that elevates buyers to the status of kings, and the transactional atmosphere typical of traditional markets. The contribution involves active participation from local communities with solutions in the form of efforts to maintain cultural heritage that can be aligned with implementing innovations that have a positive impact. By involving traders and market owners, solutions can be found to modernize facilities while maintaining local cultural values.

Abstract

As development progresses, urban land is becoming increasingly scarce. From these problems, land prices in areas that are considered strategic have increased. One of them is Denpasar City, which is experiencing an increase in population due to urbanization and an increase in the economic sector, resulting in high occupancy demand for office facilities, but cannot be fulfilled due to several factors and the concept of the available offices is still conventional. Meanwhile, office activities today tend to be dynamic and do not require extensive office facilities. Through the design of Rental Office in Denpasar with a modular concept, flexible office needs can be met. The application of the space module system will facilitate the optimization of space that can be adjusted according to the activity needs of users, and is equipped with shared facilities. The method used is the programmatic method, which determines a theme and concept from the existing problems and how to solve the problem itself, resulting in the theme and concept of industrial-modular. The expected result with the presence of this design is that it can help entrepreneurs who want to have an office with affordable rent. For a greater impact, it is expected to trigger a trend of entrepreneurship for the younger generation so that it affects the increase in the people's economy.
