Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Cassia alata L. ethyl acetate and n-hexane leaves extract in inhibiting the growth of Candida albicans. The study used an experimental laboratory. In this study, C. alata ethyl acetate and n-hexane leaves extract used with concentrations of 2% w/v, 4% w/v and 8% w/v. The results showed that ethyl acetate and n-Hexane extracts inhibit C. albicans growth at 2% w/v, 4% w/v and 8% w/v concentrations with diameters of 9 mm, 11 mm, 13 mm for ethyl acetate and 9.3 mm, 12 mm, 14 mm for n-hexane solvent.

Abstract

This research aims to examine how the effectiveness of contextual learning through social experiments can improve students' understanding. The method used is qualitative with a case study approach to see the phenomenon directly. The informants in this research were 12 informants, namely 1 fiqh teacher and 5 students at MTSN 4 Padang, as well as 1 fiqh teacher and 5 students at MTS An-Nur Padang. Data collection uses observation, interviews, and documentation which is then analyzed by reducing, presenting, and drawing conclusions. The results of this research prove that in general contextual learning through social experiments provides real experience to students and is proven to be able to increase students' understanding of the subject of jurisprudence, this can be seen from the fact that 80% or 24 of the 30 students in class VIII A at MTSN 4 Padang can complete the summative test with a score above the KKM, the same thing was also found in class VIII 1 MTS An-Nur Padang students where 80% or 16 out of 20 students had a score above the KKM, from this, it can be seen that after the students were given learning based on social experiments there is an increase in learning outcomes. From this research, the researcher concluded that creative learning will produce good results. Seeing as the main problem in education today is student boredom, this can be overcome with innovative learning such as contextual learning through social experiments.

Abstract

In Indonesia, the implementation of the curriculum has undergone various changes and improvements, namely the thirteen curriculum, after which in 2018 it became the thirteen revised curriculum and when Indonesia due to the impact of the co-19 pandemic turned into an emergency curriculum and then refined again into an independent learning curriculum. This study discusses how the implementation of the independent curriculum, especially PAI subjects. The research method uses qualitative research, the descriptive method aims to describe, describe, and analyze objects systematically on the implementation of the independent learning curriculum in schools, especially in Islamic Religion subjects. Data collection techniques based on observation, interviews and documentation. Data processing techniques are carried out by making interview instruments. The technique of analyzing data is data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The research location is SD Negeri 15 Koto Lalang. Conducted on December 7, 2023. The research subject was the PAI teacher of SD Negeri 15 Koto Lalang. Results and discussion First, the teacher's understanding of the independent learning curriculum and has been implemented well. It's just that there are still aspects that require teachers to be more creative and innovative in carrying out the learning process based on the independent curriculum. Second, the benefits felt after implementing the independent curriculum are that the independent curriculum focuses more on freedom and creative thinking.

Abstract

Bangun Mulya Village, located in Penajam Paser Utara Regency, faces challenges in household waste management, health literacy, digital competitiveness, bullying in schools, and inadequate infrastructure, hindering its environmental, social, and economic resilience. A community service program, conducted from July 14 to August 20, 2025, aimed to revitalize the village by leveraging local potentials to foster sustainable development. Employing a community-based empowerment approach, the initiative utilized mixed-method surveys for needs assessment, implemented individual and group programs, and evaluated outcomes through quantitative and qualitative measures. Interventions included eco-enzyme production training, traditional herbal remedy education, MSME digitalization support, anti-bullying education, natural pesticide training, solar-powered streetlight installation, productive tree planting, establishment of family medicinal plant gardens, and creation of village potential infographics. Results demonstrated significant impacts: 85% of farmers adopted natural pesticides, 90% of participants independently produced herbal remedies, 80% of MSME operators enhanced digital marketing skills, 90% of students showed improved tolerance, 100% participation in tree planting, 70% household adoption of medicinal gardens, and enhanced nighttime safety through functional streetlights. Collaborative community engagement ensured initiative ownership, positioning Bangun Mulya as a more resilient and competitive village, reflecting the role of higher education in sustainable rural development.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keaktifan dan keterampilan siswa dalam melaksanakan sholat wajib melalui penerapan strategi Modelling the Way di kelas III SD Negeri 2 Panteraja. Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah rendahnya kemampuan siswa dalam memahami dan mempraktikkan gerakan serta bacaan sholat wajib dengan benar, yang berdampak pada rendahnya hasil belajar Pendidikan Agama Islam. Strategi Modelling the Way dipilih karena menekankan pada pembelajaran berbasis keteladanan, di mana guru berperan sebagai model yang memperagakan keterampilan yang diharapkan dapat ditiru oleh siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan dua siklus yang masing-masing terdiri atas tahap perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian adalah 32 siswa kelas III SD Negeri 2 Panteraja. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, dan tes praktik sholat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan keaktifan siswa dari 67,8% pada siklus I menjadi 87% pada siklus II. Nilai rata-rata keterampilan sholat meningkat dari 60,2 menjadi 85,0 dengan tingkat ketuntasan belajar mencapai 100%. Dengan demikian, penerapan strategi Modelling the Way terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan keaktifan dan keterampilan ibadah siswa, sekaligus membentuk sikap religius, tanggung jawab, dan kedisiplinan spiritual
