Abstract

Abstract

This research aims to explore the positive impact of physical activity on the mental health of children with special needs (ABK) through a literature study. A review was conducted of 15 main studies that discussed the effects of physical activity on children with special needs, such as children with autism, ADHD, cerebral palsy and other developmental disorders. The results of the analysis show that physical activity can significantly reduce symptoms of stress, anxiety and depression, as well as improve children's mood, social skills and quality of life. Group activities, such as team sports, have been shown to be most effective in improving communication skills and social interaction. The ideal duration of physical activity to provide a positive mental impact is 30-60 minutes per session, with a minimum frequency of three times a week. This research also highlights the importance of implementing structured physical activity programs in inclusive schools and therapy centers, as well as the need for further research in Indonesia to adapt global findings to local contexts. The conclusion of this study is that physical activity can be an effective non-pharmacological intervention to improve the mental health of ABK, with the support of parents, teachers and researchers in developing appropriate programs.

Abstract

Indonesian students' performance still tends to be low in solving mathematical problems. In order to explore this issue, further studies are needed to determine the ability of students to solve mathematical problems in various mathematical materials. Therefore, this study aims to describe students' mathematical problem solving ability on geometric sequence material. Descriptive qualitative method was used to describe three research subjects (students of SMAN 6 Bombana) who each represented high, medium, and low ability levels. Tests and interviews were given to collect data which were then analyzed to find out how students' work and errors in solving mathematical problems. The results showed that based on Polya's problem solving indicators, subjects with high and medium ability could solve the problem well, although subjects with medium ability needed two attempts (changing the solution plan) to get the correct answer. Meanwhile, subjects in the low category could not solve the mathematical problems presented in three attempts. In addition, two student errors were found in the solution process, namely: 1) incorrectly using the concept; and 2) incorrectly determining the ratio of the sequence. This study also found a positive participation of adversity quotient as a good mentality for students in solving mathematical problems.

Abstract

Problem: This study was driven by the lack of diversity in physical education lessons in schools, thus limiting the optimal development of children's basic motor skills. Purpose: This study aims to determine the impact of implementing a movement-based learning model on improving basic motor skills in children aged 4-5 years at Al-Hidayah Kindergarten, Lambopini Village, Iwoimenda District, Kolaka Regency. Methods: The method used was a quasi-experimental design with a pre-test and post-test in one group, with 15 students taken from the sample. Data collection was carried out using the Basic Motor Ability Test which includes locomotor, non-locomotor, and manipulative aspects, which was carried out before and after the intervention for six sessions. Result: The results in this study, referring to the paired t-test analysis, showed a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test scores with an average increase of 16.4 points and a significance value of 0.000 (<0.05). The results indicate that a structured basic movement learning model based on active games and adapted to the child's developmental stage is effective in improving coordination, agility, muscle strength, and confidence in performing movements. Conclusion: In conclusion, basic movement learning is effective in developing basic motor skills in childhood and can be an appropriate physical education strategy for teachers in rural areas with limited resources.

Abstract

The Community Service Program (KKN) in Timbala Village, Bombana Regency, Southeast Sulawesi Province, was implemented with the aim of enhancing the tourism potential of Tanjung Indah Timbala Beach through community empowerment and digital marketing strategies. This activity arose from the problem of low tourism potential utilization due to limited facilities, accessibility, and poor promotion. To implement the program, the community and village government were involved through field observations, interviews, the creation of a promotional website, and training on sustainable tourism management. Results of the activity included increased community awareness of beach cleanliness and sustainability, the availability of digital promotional tools such as a website and visual documentation that introduce Tanjung Timbala Beach to the general public, and active support from the village government for sustainable tourism development plans. Increased community participation and the emergence of local initiatives to develop community-based tourism activities are tangible results of this activity. This program demonstrates that collaboration between the community, village government, and the use of IT can help improve the competitiveness of local tourism towards becoming a leading regional destination.ABSTRAKProgram Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) di Desa Timbala di Kabupaten Bombana, Provinsi Sulawesi Tenggara, dilaksanakan dengan tujuan meningkatkan potensi wisata Pantai Tanjung Indah Timbala melalui pemberdayaan masyarakat dan strategi pemasaran digital.
