Abstract

Nutrition counseling is a learning process to develop understanding and positive attitudes towards nutrition so as to form and have good eating habits. The research aims to increase knowledge and attitudes as well as nutrition intake of pregnant women through the media drama of the first thousand days of life at the 11 Ilir Health Center in Palembang. Types of research Quasi-experimental with pretest posttest with control design. The results of the independent t test statistic test found a significant effect of 1000 HPK Drama Interventions on the average score of knowledge, attitude, intake of E, P, KH, Fe, and there was no effect of fat intake of respondents in both groups

Abstract

Abstrak: Kehamilan merupakan suatu proses fisiologis yang terjadi pada setiap wanita. Masa ini merupakan periode yang sangat penting bagi pembentukan kualitas sumber daya manusia di masa yang akan datang karena tumbuh kembang anak akan sangat di tentukan oleh kondisi pada saat janin dalam kandungan. Bila status gizi ibu normal pada masa sebelum dan selama hamil kemungkinan besar akan melahirkan bayi yang sehat, cukup bulan dengan berat badan normal. Oleh karena itu perbaikan gizi penting untuk meningkatkan kesehatan ibu hamil. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabmas ini adalah untuk memberikan edukasi gizi dan pelatihan pembuatan makanan tambahan yang sehat dan bergizi pada ibu hamil di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Multiwahana Palembang. Adapun metode yang digunakan adalah penyuluhan, demonstrasi dan pendampingan pembuatan makanan tambahan. Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan rata-rata pengetahuan pada ibu hamil sebesar 44 point dan sebanyak 25 orang (100%) ibu hamil telah berhasil membuat makanan tambahan dari tiga resep yang sudah dicontohkan. Disarankan kepada ibu hamil selalu mengkonsumsi makanan tambahan yang sehat dan bergizi untuk memenuhi kebutuhan gizi selama hamil.Abstract:  Pregnancy is a physiological process that occurs in every woman. This period is a very important period for the formation of the quality of human resources in the future because the growth and development of children will be largely determined by the conditions at the time of the fetus in the womb. If the nutritional status of the mother is normal before and during pregnancy, it is likely that she will give birth to a healthy, full-term baby with a normal weight. Therefore, improving nutrition is important to improve the health of pregnant women. The purpose of this community service activity is to provide nutrition education and training on making healthy and nutritious complementary foods to pregnant women in the work area of the Palembang Multiwahana Health Center. The methods used are counseling, demonstration and assistance in making additional food. The results obtained indicate that there is an increase in the average knowledge of pregnant women by 44 points and as many as 25 pregnant women (100%) have succeeded in making additional food from the three recipes that have been exemplified. It is recommended that pregnant women always consume additional healthy and nutritious foods to meet nutritional needs during pregnancy.

Abstract

Patients with hepatic impairment are particularly at risk of malnutrition because of impaired absorption, hypermetabolism, and poor oral intake. Enteral diet therapy based on pumpkin and soybean flour is one of the local foods functional as an alternative enteral formula for patients with liver cirrhosis because it contains high Branched-Chain Amino Acids (BCAA) and Medium-Chain Triglyceride (MCT). The purpose of this study was to analyze the nutritional value (proximate test), BCAA test (Leucine, Isoleucine, Valine) and Viscosity Test (thickness) and organoleptic test of enteral formulas of patients with liver cirrhosis from pumpkin and soybean flour. This descriptive qualitative research method uses three levels of treatment, comparison of pumpkin with soybean powder. The characteristics analyzed are macronutrients (energy, protein, fat, carbohydrates), BCAA (leucine, isoleucine, valine), viscosity. Statistical analysis with One Way Anova and organoleptic test with a hedonic method. The macronutrient content analysis following the diet's requirements and principles was enteral formula two at a relative concentration (80:20). The statistical test results showed a p-value of 0.000 (<0.05), which means a significant difference in the content of leucine, isoleucine, and valine in the three enteral formulas. Increasing the ratio of pumpkin tends to increase the viscosity of the enteral cirrhosis formula. The enteral formula has characteristics per 1000 ml as follows: 38 grams of protein, 161.1 grams of carbohydrates, 25.2 grams of fat, 1023 kcal of energy, 5743.43 mg of BCAAs, and the results of the organoleptic test selected for the enteral formula 2.

Abstract

Nutritional anemia is the most common public health problem, which can lead to a decrease in human quality. The needs of pregnant women for iron, in addition to covering basal losses, also for the need for the formation of red blood cells that increase in number, and also for the needs of the placenta and fetus in the womb. To prevent anemia on an ongoing basis, it is cheap and affordable. The alternative is to consume enough green vegetables, beans, grains and fruits, so that the food consumed is quite diverse, both in quantity and in quality.It is hoped that with the Community Service at an advanced stage (Guidance) by the lecturer of the D III Nutrition Study Program in the working area of ​​the Gandus Health Center, a truly useful and educative way to prevent anemia is to provide nutrition education through demonstrations of processing food with basic ingredients of cassava, tempeh and green vegetables. The results of the implementation of Community Service at an advanced stage (Guidance) by Lecturers of the D III Nutrition Study Program, it was found that an increase in the Hb level of anemic pregnant women, which previously had an average Hb level of < 8.8 mg/dl after coaching, increased by 11.6 mg /dl and furthermore, from the results of the cooking demo, 2 types of dishes made from local ingredients are presented in the form of healthy porridge and Tempe Nagget.
