Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationship between the personality of Arabic language teachers and students’ interest in learning Arabic. The research employs a quantitative method with a correlational approach. The population consists of all students at MTs Ira Medan, with a sample of 28 students selected through random sampling. Data were collected using a closed-ended questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis was conducted using the Pearson Product Moment correlation formula. The results indicate a statistically significant relationship between teacher personality and students’ learning interest, with a significance value of 0.00 (p < 0.05) and a correlation coefficient of 0.669, which falls into the strong category (0.61–0.80). This value exceeds the r table (0.374), leading to the conclusion that there is a strong positive relationship between teacher personality (X) and students’ interest in learning (Y), with a contribution of 44.7%. These findings highlight the importance of teacher personality development as a key factor in enhancing students' interest in learning Arabic.

Abstract

This study aimed to: 1) describe the conditions of Arabic learning in the State Islamic university of North Sumatra (UIN SU) Medan; 2) develop the Arabic language learning model based on constructivism theory; and 3) know the level of validation of the Arabic language learning model based on constructivism theory. This research applied Research and Development (R & D) method with Four Ds model consisting of: define, design, development and dissemination. The results showed (1) the Arabic learning at UIN SU Medan needed much improvement because 48.32% of Arabic language lecturers still used a learning approach not encouraging students to learn actively, collaboratively, and confidently. In other words, the learning process was still teacher-centered. (2) The product (Arabic Language Learning Model) produced was an Arabic learning tool characterized by constructivism, which includes: Syllabus, RPS and Assessment. (3) Constructivism learning and Arabic learning experts assessed the products with an average value of 3.37 (very good).

Abstract

the Qur’an by revealing the related terms, as well as analyzing the duties of these educators and examining them in relation to teacher competencies. The results of this study are expected to add new perspectives in implementing the duties of educators found in the Qur’an. This type of research is classified as library research, using a qualitative method based on descriptive documents and tending to use analysis with an educational approach, namely collecting Qur’anic verses concerning the duties of educators. The approach used in this study is the science of tafsīr. Meanwhile, the data collection technique uses documentation techniques from primary data sources in the form of Qur’anic verses, supplemented by secondary data sources in the form of books of tafsīr and other supporting books related to the object of the research. The collected research data are then analyzed using the content analysis method through several steps, including: verses concerning the duties of educators, verse analysis, and drawing conclusions on the meanings of the verses. The role and position of professional educators as Ulul Albab. The role and position of professional educators as Ulul Absar. The role and position of professional educators as Ulul Ilmi. The role and position of professional educators as Ulun Nuha. The role and position of professional educators as Ulama. The role and position of professional educators as Ahlu Dhikr. Abstract

This research aims to optimize the application of the imla' method in learning maharah kitabah in class VII of the Nurul Hakim Modern Islamic Boarding School in Medan. Qualitative methods are used by conducting observations and interviews with students and teachers to understand the impacts and challenges of implementing the imla' method. The research results show that the imla' method is able to increase the accuracy of writing letters, introduce new vocabulary, and train students' concentration. However, there are several obstacles such as differences in student abilities, lack of variety in delivery methods, and time constraints that affect the effectiveness of learning. From interviews with teachers, it was found that grouping students based on ability and using varied learning media could help overcome these challenges. Thus, this research recommends the implementation of additional strategies to increase the effectiveness of the imla' method in learning maharah kitabah in Islamic boarding schools.
