Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has changed all activities in all fields, including the field of education. Early childhood education plays an important role in the mental and character formation of children. Parents must always update their knowledge to be able to educate and care for children according to age and development of the times. During the pandemic, the learning process at Aisyiyah Sukodono Kindergarten was mostly done online, this made it difficult for parents to accompany their children to study at home, besides that teachers had never received training on early detection of child development. This activity aims to optimize the skills of parents in caring for children according to age stages and empower teachers to be able to detect early development of their students. The Service Method is by providing counseling to the guardians of Aisyiyah Sukodono Sidoarjo Kindergarten students about positive parenting to optimize children's potential and providing training on early detection of child growth and development with a developmental pre-screening questionnaire (KPSP) for Aisyiyah Sukodono Sidoarjo Kindergarten teachers. This community service activity was attended by 23 parents and 8 teachers. Based on the results of the assessment before participating in parenting education activities, most of the parents (71%) had less knowledge about parenting, and after participating in the activity, most of the parents (54%) had good knowledge about parenting. Meanwhile, for teachers, before training all of them could not use KPSP and after training, all of them became able to use KPSP for early detection of developments. This shows that there is an increase in the knowledge of parents about child care and teachers are able to carry out early detection of developments with KPSP.

Abstract

Job satisfaction is an employee's general feeling toward their work and is an important factor influencing productivity within a company. However, the reality is that many employees still feel dissatisfied with their jobs. Job satisfaction issues can have a negative impact on employee motivation, performance, mental and physical health, and can even disrupt company performance. Based on these conditions, the driving factors that can increase employee job satisfaction are work-life balance and support from colleagues. This study aims to determine the influence of work-life balance and coworker support on employee job satisfaction at CV X. This study uses a quantitative approach with multiple linear regression analysis. Data were obtained thru questionnaires distributed to 117 employees and analyzed using SPSS 26. The sampling technique used is saturation sampling. The research results indicate that work-life balance and coworker support have a positive and significant impact on job satisfaction, both partially and simultaneously. The coefficient of determination (R²) value of 0.433 indicates that 43.3% of the variation in job satisfaction is explained by these two variables, while the remaining variation is influenced by other factors. Thus, increased job satisfaction is influenced by a good work-life balance and positive support among colleagues at CV X. This finding implies that the company needs to strengthen policies that support work-life balance, such as flexible working hours, and establish policies to improve the quality of relationships among colleagues, such as gathering programs or team building, as effective strategies for increasing employee job satisfaction.

Abstract

Increasingly fierce business competition demands that companies effectively manage human resources, including maintaining employee job satisfaction. Job dissatisfaction still frequently occurs in the industrial sector and impacts increased turnover, absenteeism, decreased productivity, and disruptions to operational stability. In this context, transformational leadership and self-efficacy are two psychological factors that have the potential to increase job satisfaction. This study aims to determine the influence of transformational leadership style and self-efficacy on employee job satisfaction. The research used a quantitative method with a causal design, involving 124 employees from the production division thru a saturated sampling technique. Data was collected using job satisfaction scales, transformational leadership scales, and self-efficacy scales, and then analyzed using multiple linear regression. The research results show that the level of job satisfaction among respondents is mostly in the moderate category. Statistically, transformational leadership and self-efficacy have a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction (R² = 0.424), with the significance values for each variable being < 0.05. This finding confirms that the higher the implementation of transformational leadership and the stronger the employees' self-confidence, the higher the level of job satisfaction. The implications of this research emphasize the importance of the leader's role in creating supportive working relationships, providing motivation, and building a conducive work environment. Additionally, companies are encouraged to strengthen competency development programs to enhance employee self-efficacy in order to support the sustainability of organizational performance.
