Abstract

The Sungai Kunyit Coastal Area has a multipurpose and strategic role in supporting the economic development of the community in the West Kalimantan area.  This research was conducted to analyze the value of the ecological index of meiofauna and water quality in the coastal area of the Kunyit River, Mempawah Regency. Study this expected could give description condition environment in the Turmeric River Coastal Area for utilization and management in a manner sustainable . Study this conducted for 3 months , namely in the month August until October 2022 in the Turmeric River Coastal Area Regency Mempawah with line transect method . Sample taken from three station . Analysis sample carried out in the Laboratory Management Resource waters and carried out a correlation test for knowing connection structure meiofauna community and conditions environment . Based on results study there were 11,787 ind /m³ of meiofauna during research . density ranges from 10-99 ind /m³, index diversity average 2.20, index uniformity >0.6, index dominance 0.14 <1 close to zero. Based on correlation test results is known that there is a relationship between structure meiofauna community and waters conditions.

Abstract

Pulau Pedalaman Mempawah Regency is a potential public water area in the form of small lakes and protected forests. Has an important role in the life of microorganisms in waters, but is vulnerable to environmental changes and pollution caused by human activities. This study aims to determine the community structure and saprobity index as well as to determine the condition of the waters based on periphyton in the waters of the Inland Island Region of Mempawah Regency. Sampling and water quality measurements were carried out for 3 months, from September to November 2021 at five research stations. The results showed that 44 genera were identified as belonging to 4 classes, namely Bacillaiophyta, Chlorophyta, Cyanophyta and Euglenophyta. The highest relative abundance of periphyton was Bacillariophyta (84.70%). Followed by Chlorophyta (14.90%), Cyanophyta (0.17%) and Euglenophyta (0.22%). Overall diversity indices from all sampling locations showed high diversity or tended to have fairly stable waters. The saprobity index value was in the light to very light pollution level which was in the Meso/Oligosaprobic and Oligo/mesosaprobic phases.

Abstract

Kabupaten Kubu Raya yang merupakan salah satu kawasan sentra produsen udang terbesar di Kalimantan Barat dengan konstribusi mencapai 40,08% pada 2010 dan 39,45% pada 2012, salah komoditasnya ialah Penaeus merguiensis. Penaeus merguiensis termasuk kedalam klasifikasi udang paneid yang komoditasnya menjadi sasaran utama. Udang putih menjadi salah satu udang yang mengalami eksploitasi dimana berdampak pada penurunan stok udang putih. Oleh karena itu perlu dilakukan penelitian untuk mengetahui status stok udang putih di perairan tersebut. Penelitian dilakukan selama 3 bulan menggunakan alat tangkap mini bottom trawl dan menggunakan metode systematic random sampling. Analisis data yang digunakan yakni sebaran frekuensi karapas, hubungan rasio berat total dan panjang total terhadap waktu penangkapan, hubungan panjang total dan panjang karapas, laju pertumbuhan, mortalitas dan laju eksploitasi. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa udang yang tertangkap memiliki sebaran frekuensi antara 12-27,9 mm, rasio berat total dan panjang total mengalami peningkatan pada bulan april yakni 0,098 gram, kemudian mengalami penurunan drastis pada bulan mei yakni 0,075 gram, pola pertumbuhan yakni bersifat allometrik negatif karena nilai b<3 yang artinya pertambahan panjang udang putih lebih cepat daripada pertambahan berat.Kata Kunci: Allometrik, Pertumbuhan, Status Stok, Udang Putih.

Abstract

 Sanggau Regency has ecotourism potential, one of which is the Riam Begiham Waterfall, located in Bungkang Village, Sekayam District. Research on the Riam Begiham Waterfall has been studied by previous researchers, however, it has not yet produced a strategy for developing the Riam Begiham Waterfall. Therefore, the researcher intends to carry out an analysis of ecotourism development strategies at Riam Begiham Waterfall, with the aim of knowing the internal and external factors that exist at Riam Begiham Waterfall and making an appropriate development strategy plan for ecotourism development at Riam Begiham Waterfall. This research was carried out during the month September-October 2024 at Riam Begiham Waterfall, Sekayam District, Sanggau Regency. The data taken is in the form of internal and external factors, then data analysis is carried out to find out internal and external factors and the right strategy for developing Riam Begiham Waterfall. Based on the results of the analysis of internal and external factors, it was found that the position of Riam Begiham Waterfall is in quadrant I, which means there is significant strategic potential for the development of Riam Begiham Waterfall. The strategy that can be proposed is Strength- Opportunity (SO).

Abstract

Sorrah shark (Carharhinus sorrah) is one of the catch types that is landed at the Nusantara Pemangkat Fishing Port.  This research was conducted to determine the dynamics of the sorrah shark population caught in the WPP 711 fishery management area. This research was carried out from August to October 2023 at TPI, precisely at the Nusantara Pemangkat Fishing Port, Pemangkat District, Sambas Regency, West Kalimantan.  The method used in this research is a survey. This research used primary and secondary data.  The data collected includes the number of catches (kg), total catch (tails), total length of sharks, weight of sharks and gender.  The ship sampling used purposive sampling and 10% random sampling method.  A total of 152 sharks were landed, consisting of 89 male sharks and 63 female sharks.  With a length range of male sharks 56-79 cm with female sharks 57-74 cm long.  The results of the shark length and weight relationship test showed that the growth pattern of the sorrah shark was negative allometric and had an unbalanced male: female sex ratio of 1.4: 1.Keywords: Allometric; Catch; Long Size; Sex Ratio; Sorrah shark

Abstract

Bengkayang Regency is one of the potential areas for the development of seaweed cultivation in the waters of Lumukutan Island, seaweed cultivation cages are spread in the waters of Lemukutan Island located in the West Coast area which is very possible for the development of seaweed cultivation of the Euchema cottonii type. This study aims to determine the quality of the aquatic environment for seaweed cultivation, the suitability of water quality for seaweed cultivation Euchema cottonii on Lemukutan Island, Bengkayang Regency. The method used is a survey method consisting of 3 stations. Sampling with a direct measurement stage in the field, sampling was carried out for 3 months as much as 4 times in a period of 10 days, The results of this study The quality of the aquatic environment for seaweed cultivation that is in accordance with the Quality Standards, namely temperature parameters, depth is only found at station one, current speed, salinity, pH and DO, for the suitability of the quality of the aquatic environment of the cages for seaweed cultivation at stations one, two and three criteria are appropriate.

Abstract

Analisis multivariat seperti cluster dan nMDS sering digunakan untuk membantu interpretasi data lingkungan, sedangkan struktur komunitas vegetasi tumbuhan sangat berguna dalam mendeskripsikan ekologi suatu ekosistem, sehingga kajian penilaian analisis cluster dan nMDS terhadap struktur komunitas mangrove Desa Bagan Serdang dilakukan pada bulan September 2021. Hal ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui struktur komunitas mangrovenya berdasarkan analisis cluster dan nMDS. Vegetasi mangrove dikumpulkan dengan menarik transek kuadran yang tegak lurus garis pantai, kemudian data vegetasi mangrove dievaluasi menggunakan cluster dan nMDS. Keanekaragaman mangrove Desa Bagan Serdang teridentifikasi sebanyak 5 spesies dengan 4 famili, dimana penyebaran mangrovnya tergolong sesekali ditemukan (rata-rata frekuensi relatifnya 20,00%). Zona paling depan didominasi oleh Avicennia lanata, zona tengah didominasi oleh Rhizophora apiculata dan zona belakang didominansi oleh Rhizophora mucronata. Kerapatan mangrovenya berkisar antara 22,22 – 1222,22 ind/ha dan INP berkisar antara 9,64 – 231,78% dengan kerapatan vegetasi zona depan maupun tengah membentuk satu kelompok yang mengindikasikan kondisi kerapatannya hampir sama. Selanjutnya untuk INP, vegetasi zona depan dan tengah membentuk satu kelompok dengan spesies yang berperan penting adalah A. lanata serta R. apiculata, sedangkan di zona belakang, spesies yang berperan pentingnya adalah R. mucronata, E. agallocha dan X. granatum. Selain itu, basal area vegetasi mangrove Desa Bagan Serdang berkisar antara 278,22 – 654,35 m2/ha dengan basal area vegetasi zona depan maupun belakang memiliki tingkat kedewasaan yang hampir sama, sehingga membentuk satu kelompok. Kajian ini mengungkapkan adanya komposisi spesies mangrove campuran dengan perkembangan kedewasaan mangrovenya berbeda-beda. Data yang diinfokan dalam kajian ini akan menjadi baseline pengelolaan mangrove di Desa Bagan Serdang dan upaya konservasi di Provinsi Sumatera Utara maupun Indonesia.  Multivariate analyses such as clusters and nMDS are frequently used to facilitate in the interpretation of environmental data. In contrast, the community structure of plant vegetation is immensely useful in describing the ecology of an ecosystem. In September 2021, studies on the mangrove community structure of Bagan Serdang Village were conducted using cluster analysis and nMDS. It proposes to use cluster analysis and nMDS to determine the structure of the mangrove community. Mangrove vegetation was collected by pulling quadrant transects perpendicular to the shoreline, and the data was analyzed using clusters and nMDS. The diversity of mangroves in Bagan Serdang Village was identified as 5 species with 4 families, with mangrove distribution classified as occasional (average relative frequency of 20,00%). Avicennia lanata dominates the front zone, Rhizophora apiculata dominates the middle zone, and R. mucronata dominates the back zone. The mangrove density ranges from 22,22 to 1222,22 ind/ha, and the INP ranges from 9,64 to 231,78%, with the vegetation density in the front and middle zones forming one group that shows nearly the same density conditions. Furthermore, for the INP, the front and middle zone vegetation formed a group with species that played an important role which were A. lanata and R. apiculata, while species that played an important role in the rear zone were R. mucronata, E. agallocha, and X. granatum. Furthermore, the basal area of the mangrove vegetation in Bagan Serdang Village ranges from 278,22 to 654,35 m2/ha, with the basal area of the vegetation zones front and back having nearly the same maturity level, forming a single group. This study reveals the presence of a mixed mangrove species composition with different mangrove maturity developments. The data presented in this study will be the baseline for mangrove management in Bagan Serdang Village and conservation efforts in North Sumatra Province and Indonesia.

Abstract

Ikan pari kemejan termasuk ke dalam genus Rhynchobatus dari famili Rhinidae. Ikan ini merupakan target tangkapan utama nelayan jaring insang di Kubu Raya. Seluruh bagian tubuh ikan pari kemejan dapat dimanfaatkan dan bernilai ekonomis. Sumber daya ikan pari kemejan (Rhyncobatus Springeri) merupakan komoditas penting dan memiliki nilai ekonomi tinggi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pola pertumbuhan ikan pari kemejan yang didaratkan di PPI Sungai Kakap. Penelitian ini dilakukan di PPI Sungai Kakap Kecamatan Sungai Kakap Kabupaten Kubu Raya Provinsi Kalimantan Barat pada bulan April dan Mei 2023. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, survei, dan wawancara. Analisis data perbandingan jenis kelamin, panjang, dan berat dilakukan pada sampel ikan pari kemejan. Hasil analisis perbandingan jenis kelamin ikan pari kemejan jantan dan betina adalah 1,00:1,44, hal ini menunjukkan bahwa jumlah ikan jantan yang tertangkap relatif sama dengan jumlah ikan betina yang tertangkap. Hasil analisis hubungan panjang dan berat ikan pari kemejan diperoleh nilai a sebesar 20,643 dan nilai b sebesar 0,6770. Nilai tersebut merupakan pola pertumbuhan alometrik negatif untuk ikan jantan dan betina. Alometrik negatif menjelaskan bahwa pertumbuhan panjang lebih cepat daripada pertumbuhan berat. Umumnya ditambah panjang dan beratnya sama, namun ikan pari kemejan memiliki pertumbuhan panjang yang lebih cepat dibandingkan dengan pertumbuhan beratnya. Penelitian ini penting dilakukan karena eksploitasi sumber daya ikan pari kemejan yang ada di Kalimantan Barat sangat tinggi. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan gambaran mengenai kondisi sumber daya ikan serta dapat memberikan saran pengelolaan yang dapat dijadikan sebagai bahan evaluasi dan penentuan kebijakan yang akan diterapkan terhadap eksploitasi sumber daya ikan pari kemejan.

Abstract

Riam Parangek, kawasan wisata air terjun yang menawarkan bermain air, duduk santai, melihat pemandangan, camping ground, dan arung jeram/ rafting, telah mengalami peningkatan jumlah wisatawan. Peningkatan ini mendorong dilakukannya penelitian untuk mengkaji kesesuaian sumber daya alam dan daya dukung kawasan guna mencegah penurunan kualitas lingkungan dan kerusakan sumber daya alam di lokasi wisata Riam Parangek. Penelitian telah dilaksanakan ±3 bulan, dari bulan November, Desember 2022, dan Januari 2023 di Riam Parangek Desa Pisak Kecamatan Tujuh Belas Kabupaten Bengkayang. Pengamatan dilakukan sebanyak 2 kali ulangan dalam 1 hari, dari pagi saat wisata Riam Parangek dibuka sampai sore menjelang malam saat wisata Riam Parangek tutup. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan Indeks kesesuaian wisata (IKW) Wisata Riam Parangek adalah sebesar 2,6 untuk kategori bermain air, 2,27 untuk kategori wisata duduk santai, 2,12 untuk kategori melihat pemandangan, dan 2,27 untuk kategori berkemah yang semua kategori wisatanya tergolong dalam kategori S2 (Sesuai). Daya Dukung Kawasan, wisata air terjun Riam Parangek dapat menampung 355 orang/hari untuk bermain air, 273 orang/hari untuk duduk santai, 437 orang/hari untuk melihat pemandangan, dan 21 orang/hari untuk kategori berkemah, wisata air terjun Riam Parangek dapat menampung 1086 orang/hari. Tingkat persepsi masyarakat terhadap kenyamanan wisata air terjun Riam Parangek adalah sebesar 86,66% (nyaman), sedangkan tingkat persepsi pengunjung terhadap keindahan sebesar 73,33% (cukup indah). Sehingga wisata air terjun Riam Parangek termasuk dalam kategori nyaman dan cukup indah.

Abstract

The most crucial aspect of managing an ecosystem or habitat is knowledge about accompanying biota, such as snails. The research on mangrove snails in the KPH Region III Aceh City of Langsa area was conducted in November 2021 with the goal of evaluating species diversity, density, ecological index, distribution, and their link to surrounding environmental conditions. Snail data was obtained via quadrat transects, with observation stations established using purposive sampling.The snail diversity was found to be five species from four families, with the highest density found in N. planospira (03.13 ind/m2). The diversity index was low (H' ‰¤ 2.0), dominance was moderate (0.5 < C ‰¤ 0.75), and uniformity tended to be balanced (0.5 < E ‰¤ 0.75). The distribution pattern is clustered (Iδ> 1), with C. cingulata being abundant (83.33%), and C. capucinus being frequently found (50.00%), N. planospiraonly found occasionally (36.11%), and L. scabra and T. telescopium are relatively uncommon (11.11% and 0.56%, respectively), with a link to environmental variables indicating that T. telescopium prefers fine mud substrates. Meanwhile, C. cingulata, C. capucinus, L. scabra, and N. planospiralive in habitats with fine mud substrates that are more solid than T. telescopiums habitats.
