Abstract

The development of increasingly sophisticated technology follows the needs of the community, one of them in the telecommunications world is FTTH (Fiber to the Home) which is an optical signal delivery format from the center of the provider to the homes of costumers by using optical fiber as a medium of delivery. Delivery by using this FTTH technology can save costs and provide better service to customers. The study was conducted by interview and observation methods with network objects and FTTH components belonging to Telkom Semarang and through the literature method by searching some literature. FTTH configuration starts with the ONT to rosette connected using a patchcord cable then from rosette to OTP using an indoor cable then from OTP to ODP outside the home is connected using a dropcore cable. ODP itself is the result of the distribution of distribution cables/ aerial cables leading to ODC. ODC to STO/FTM/ODF using feeder cable. FTTH network is very effective to use, because it can use triple play services (telephone, internet and IPTV) with just 1ONT/ modem at the customer s side.

Abstract

The Traveling Band Screen (TBS) is a means of filtering trash and sea creatures such as jellyfish in the PLTU Intake area. FFB filters waste by rotating the screen, then the waste is sprayed using backwash water so that the filtered waste can fall into the disposal route. The amount of impurity material stuck on the screen has an impact on the decrease in flow capacity, thus affecting the increase in the load of the TBS motor and causing the TBS to become overloaded so that the PLTU will Shut Down, so an analysis is needed to determine the electric ability of the motor drive of the TBS system to block the screen. One of the analyzes carried out is observing the optimal load of the motor with power: 2/1 HP, Rotation: 1500 rpm with reduction ratio: 1500: 1 to determine the load blockage by using the SEW Eurodrive motor manufacturer. From the results of the load analysis, the existing motor specifications are only able to operate for a screen clogging percentage of less than 13.6%.

Abstract

Telecommunication technology is currently developing so fast, along with the need for people to communicate. 4G LTE network technology has many positive impacts on service users in communication access. Every provider user wants to have good network quality when used in exchanging information and communications. This study discusses the analysis of the quality of the 4G LTE network in the Purwokerto area by taking a drive test data. Analysis of the drive test is carried out using Map Info software to determine the signal condition in accordance with the range provider and the calculation of the percentage each month with 4G parameters, namely RSRP (Reference Signal Received Power) and SINR (Signal to Interference Noise Ratio). The result of this analysis is a comparison of network quality in December 2019 based on the RSRP and SINR parameter values. In December, the RSRP value that met the standard ≥ = -95 dBm reached a percentage of 77.23% and in March it reached a percentage of 81.86%. For the SINR value in December 2019 which met the standard ≥ = 12 dB, it reached a percentage of 36.82% and in March it reached a percentage of 46.08%. Keywords: Network Analysis, LTE, Genex Probe, RSRP, SINR  ABSTRAK  Teknologi telekomunikasi saat ini berkembang begitu cepat, seiring dengan kebutuhan orang dalam berkomunikasi. Teknologi jaringan 4G LTE memberikan banyak dampak positif bagi pengguna layanan dalam akses komunikasi. Setiap pengguna provider pasti berkeinginan untuk memiliki kualitas jaringan yang baik saat digunakan dalam bertukar informasi dan komunikasi. Penelitian ini membahas tentang Analisa kualitas jaringan 4G LTE di daerah Purwokerto dengan pengambilan data drive test. Analisa drive test dilakukan menggunakan software Map Info untuk mengetahui kondisi sinyal yang sesuai dengan range provider dan perhitungan persentase setiap bulannya dengan parameter 4G yaitu RSRP (Reference Signal Received Power) dan SINR (Signal to Interference Noise Ratio). Hasil dari analisa ini adalah perbandingan kualitas jaringan pada bulan Desember 2019 berdasarkan nilai parameter RSRP dan SINR. Untuk bulan Desember nilai RSRP yang memenuhi standar ≥=-95 dBm mencapai persentase 77.23% dan bulan Maret mencapai persentase 81.86%. Untuk nilai SINR bulan Desember 2019 yang memenuhi standar ≥=12 dB mencapai persentase 36.82% dan bulan Maret mencapai persentase 46.08%.

Abstract

Education is the primary capital of a nation's progress, because with education, the human resources that a nation possesses will become quality. Physics is a branch of natural science, specifically studying natural phenomena and events through several scientific and systematic methods. The research is aimed at developing a tool to evaluate the multirepresentation of wave matter using Physics Education Technology. The methods used in this research are quantitative methods and the research is carried out by providing filling issues that will analyze verbal multirepresentation capabilities, tables and graphs. The research will be carried out at Semarang University using samples of civil engineering students. Research procedures through preliminary stages by drawing up a research plan. Preparing and compiling wave learning modules using the simulation facilities of Physics Education Technology, then compiling evaluation tools that are subject-based with multi-representation verbal approaches, tables and graphs. Validation of learning modules and evaluation tools to determine whether it is worthy of use or not, validation is carried out by 2 experts. Validation of test instruments by experts on material aspects averaged 93%, on construction aspects 94% and on language aspects reached 92%, of which results show that the instruments have excellent validity. In the finite scale test, the highest multirepresentation ability is communicating from mathematics to verbal and its mathematical abilities, while the lowest is in the ability to picture to mathematics and physics.

Abstract

AbstrakKegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keahlian siswa SMA Negeri 4 Semarang dalam perancangan desain Printed Circuit Board (PCB) untuk modul Internet of Things (IoT). Kegiatan dilaksanakan melalui pelatihan intensif yang dipadukan dengan praktik langsung, sehingga siswa memperoleh pemahaman mengenai dasar-dasar desain PCB, pengenalan perangkat lunak desain PCB, serta tahapan penyusunan skematik dan layout PCB. Program ini tidak hanya berorientasi pada peningkatan keterampilan teknis, tetapi juga bertujuan untuk menumbuhkan minat dan motivasi siswa dalam mengeksplorasi pemanfaatan teknologi IoT, khususnya pada sektor pertanian. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kompetensi yang signifikan, di mana kemampuan peserta meningkat dari tingkat pemahaman awal berupa pengenalan konsep dan komponen PCB menjadi mampu merancang dan mengimplementasikan modul IoT sederhana berbasis PCB. Peningkatan kompetensi tersebut ditunjukkan oleh hasil evaluasi kemampuan peserta pada skala penilaian 1–4, yang mengalami kenaikan dari rata-rata skor awal 1,2 menjadi 3,2 setelah kegiatan pelatihan. Selain itu, kegiatan ini memberikan dampak positif dalam mempersiapkan siswa menghadapi tantangan perkembangan teknologi di era Industri 4.0. Kata kunci: mikrokontroler; printed circuit board; internet of things. Abstract This community service activity aims to improve the skills of students at SMA Negeri 4 Semarang in designing Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) for Internet of Things (IoT) modules. The activity was conducted through intensive training combined with hands-on practice, enabling students to gain an understanding of the fundamentals of PCB design, the introduction of PCB design software, and the stages of schematic and PCB layout development. The program was not only oriented toward enhancing technical skills but also aimed to foster students’ interest and motivation in exploring the application of IoT technology, particularly in the agricultural sector. The results of the activity indicate a significant improvement in participants’ competencies, where their abilities progressed from an initial level of understanding limited to basic concepts and PCB components to the capability of independently designing and implementing simple PCB-based IoT modules. This improvement is reflected in the evaluation results using a 1–4 competency assessment scale, which showed an increase in the average score from 1.2 before the training to 3.2 after the training. Furthermore, this activity had a positive impact on preparing students to face technological challenges in the era of Industry 4.0. Keywords: microcontroller; printed circuit board; internet of things
