Abstract

ABSTRACT The process is fast and does not cost much, is an action that needs to be done by the company to be able to achieve profits. Design is a strategy to support the achievement of the company in the production that is carried out, namely carrying out design activities which aim to provide a new design of the process by designing tools as a solution to the problem of its long production time. PT XYZ is a manufacturing company in the electronics industry which is engaged in the production of hard disk drive components, but the company did not arrive at the assembly, only making spare part components of these products. Problems occur when arranging the outer device crash stop charger product into the packaging media tray which is done one by one using tweezers, so that it has an impact on the long preparation time. Arranging the product into the media tray. Products that have round dimensions and diameters (2.63 x 1.08 x 4.03) mm, make it difficult for operators to arrange into holes in the tray and require a long time of 9.13 minutes. Design for.Manufacturing.and Assembly is the deepening of two methods namely Design for.Manufactur design that focuses on ease in manufacturing and DFA (Design for Assembly) design focuses on ease when the product assembly process. The successful implementation of JIG Arranging tools using the DFMA design method gave an increase in the Arranging process by 130%, where before 38 processes were 88 times a day. The Arranging process experienced an acceleration of time in a process where previously using Tweezers took 9.13 minutes, now using JIG Arranging only needed 3.95 minutes. Abstract

PT MEB a company of electric energy in Batam. With production system integrated system by another, make the operational system machine primary production more complex and challenging. Because it, required control operational management system new and innovative point effectiveness to maintain optimal effectiveness level production so maintain capability of competitive and position company as quality electric producer. Research objectives know the level percentage value effective performance machine production and know causes factor effective performance machine does not maximum. Used the method OEE, cause of performance not maximum know through indicators 3 main categories. As for analysis calculation six big losses be to find out detail kind of waste. The benefits research adds to the literature for readers and writers the future understanding related the topic, give scientific work efforts to improve the effective performance the machine production in the company. Get the value percentage of research conclusion OEE production machine gas turbine generator at 83,49%, so the values still below OEE word class standart. Performance efficiency is major factor most influences the performance machine production not optimum at 88,67%. Analysis six big losses, get the speed losses as major factor the largest losses

Abstract

This research is conducted on aircraft structure workers at PT ABC, Batam. To determine the level of ergonomic risk and an overview of MSDs complaints experienced by workers. The design of this research is Analytical descriptive Cross Sectional. This research was carried out by observation and giving questionnaires to aircraft structure workers are working in lower fuselage. The results obtained in this study have a high risk (10) in the activity of dismantling the tail skid in the lower fuselage, the most common subjective complaint of MSDs that is felt in the waist and upper neck (85%). The Pearson correlation test shows that there is no correlation between age, sex, work experience, and smoking habits in MSDs complaints. therefore, need improvement steps from PT ABC management.

Abstract

PT Kemet Electronics Indonesia is an international company that produces film capacitor products. An international company is certainly very concerned about the aspects of continuous improvement in its business. One of the jobs that requires repairs to the saction assembly. Where there is work to lift materials weighing up to 85 kg. This work can cause injury to workers if done manually. For this reason, it is necessary to have a problem-solving solution to the current material handling conditions. Axiomatic design is a design methodology that can produce complex design solutions in a systematic and scalable manner. House Of Quality is a tool that can be used to translate customer needs into product specifications so that products can properly satisfy customer needs. Axiomatic House Of Quality (AHOQ) is a combination of the two methods that can be used to produce good designs in a systematic and at the same time measuring design solutions based on customer needs. The research resulted in three functions, each of which is a function domain in each of the physical solution domains. The areas of this function are lifting the overflowing material with a hydraulic system, moving the backed material using the wheel system, and maintaining the quality of the material filled with the clamping arm system. The functional and physical domains are poured into a tool for transporting the coil wire material. With this tool, the work of lifting materials weighing 85 kg is no longer done by humans so that the work safety of employees can be improved.

Abstract

Work fatigue is one of the occupational health and safety problems that can be a risk factor for accidents at work. Fatigue can be caused by several factors, both internal and external factors. The purpose of this study is to determine the level of fatigue and the factors that affect worker fatigue. This study uses mental workload analysis methods with the NASA TLX assessment questionnaire, and work fatigue with the Subjective Self Rating Test questionnaire from the Industrial Fatigue Research Committee (IFRC). The population in this study were 18 people. Sampling in this study was carried out by saturated sampling. Primary data collection using a questionnaire and secondary. The data processing technique used data analysis techniques, namely the chi-square test and correlation. Based on the results of research conducted, it was found that the score of work fatigue was 47.17. The score is classified as a high level of fatigue. This means that immediate action is needed to fix it in order to reduce the level of work fatigue which will have an impact on work accidents

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to assess the feasibility of establishing a branch of the Texas Barbershop in Batam city. To find out the feasibility of the Texas Barbershop business in terms of several aspects, namely market aspects, technical aspects, management aspects and financial aspects. Based on an assessment of market aspects, the opening of a Texas Barbershop branch is deemed worthy of being seen from the increase in the number of people who become its market share each year. Analysis of the technical aspects shows that the location and layout of the business premises can save additional costs. So, this business assessment in terms of technical aspects is declared feasible to run. Analysis of the management aspect shows that the owner of the Texas barbershop is willing to meet the criteria needed in the organization, both in recruiting employees, retaining employees and paying employee wage obligations according to their position and level in the process of running a business. From a financial perspective, the difference between income and expenditure results in a positive net cash calculation. In financial calculations, the results obtained Net present value (NPV) of IDR 24,791,334.9 Rupiah, payback period (PP) for 1.39 years, profitability index (PI) of 2.42 times and average rate of return (ARR) by 80.4%.

Abstract

PT.CT is a company that produces pipes for oil and gas (OCTG). Production machines used non-stop, from these conditions found equipment problems that were damaged such as machine sensors that did not respond to the program, clogged vacuum coolers, servo alarms sounded during the Threading Coupling process. The effects of some these defects have impact on the number of products that are not according with the planned time. The purpose of this study was to determine effectiveness of the machine using an approach to increase effectiveness using Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), while Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) is a method used to measure the application of TPM and maintain equipment. In ideal conditions by eliminating 6 Big Loss then analyze the factors that affect the OEE value using the Fishbone Diagram (Ishikawa Diagram). The results showed that lowest OEE value obtained for the Mori Seiki CNC machine (SL25 B) was in November 2020 of 55.04% and the highest OEE value was obtained in August 2021 of 80.08% and this value had not yet reached the standard of 85 %. The proposed corrective action is to prioritize 2 out of 6 Major Losses such as rework loss and breakdown losses.

Abstract

Supplier selection is one of the most important decision making problems. In the manufacturing industri, one of the company’s important activities to maintain the continuity of the production process is activity of purchasing raw materials by suppliers. This research was conducted in Submaterial Department of PT XYZ. The company focuses on the manufacture of plastic garbage bags and food storage bags. The method used in this study is the AHP and TOPSIS method. The result showed that there are 5 criteria with 13 subcriteria. Quality (0.3497) criterion is the most important criterion in supplier selection, the sub-criteria that has the most important is the suitability of price with the quality of the product produced (0.2150) and PT IIB has a weight of the largest is (0.2017). Based on the preference value, PT IIB has the largest preference value, which is (0.9187). This shows that PT IIB is in the most important order so that it becomes the best prioritized supplier in fulfilling the supply of carton boxes to PT XYZ.

Abstract

This research is the first research conducted in the city of Batam, from the results of calculations analyzed using the method of AHP (Analytical Hierarchy Process) and SAW obtained the value of the criteria weight and sub criteria on the selection of water meter suppliers diii PT. MY. There are 4 criteria that affect the selection of suppliers for the company. The result obtained from weighting criteria and sub krteria using AHP method, namely The First Criterion is quality with a weight as large as 0.515. Then followed by the price cretiria with a weight value of 0.273. Furthermore on the shipping criteria with a total weight of 0.115. The last criterion is a View that weighs 0.061. Based on the results of calculations using the SAW method, it can be weighted results from all criteria and sub-criteria with weight values, in the first rank of Hitek suppliers and 0.957 values, both Pacific suppliers with a value of 0.928, ranked third Indopam suppliers with the last 0.850 artha suppliers with a value of 0.842.
