Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan aktivitas metakognitif siswa kelas VII di SMP Hasanudin Surabaya yang memiliki tipe kepribadian koleris dan phlegmatis dalam menyelesaikan masalah matematika. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 2 siswa berkepribadian koleris dan 2 siswa berkepribadian phlegmatis. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif, yang menghasilkan data dalam bentuk deskriptif, baik berupa kata-kata maupun kalimat. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi tes dan wawancara. Peneliti menerapkan dua jenis tes: tes kepribadian untuk mengidentifikasi tipe kepribadian siswa, serta tes pemecahan masalah untuk mengkaji metakognisi siswa dalam mengerjakan soal matematika. Wawancara dilakukan untuk memperkuat hasil tes guna meningkatkan validitas analisis. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis secara kualitatif melalui proses reduksi, penyajian data, analisis lebih lanjut, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Keabsahan data diverifikasi menggunakan triangulasi sumber, yakni membandingkan data dari tes dan wawancara dengan data dari soal serupa. Hasil penelitian mengindikasikan bahwa siswa dengan tipe kepribadian koleris dan phlegmatis telah menunjukkan aktivitas metakognitif yang meliputi tahap perencanaan, pemantauan, dan evaluasi dalam menyelesaikan masalah matematika. Pada tahap perencanaan, siswa koleris lebih terperinci dibandingkan siswa phlegmatis, karena mampu menambahkan detail dari informasi yang diperoleh. Dalam tahap pemantauan, siswa koleris dapat menemukan solusi yang lebih singkat dan efisien, sementara siswa phlegmatis cenderung masih mengalami kesulitan. Pada tahap evaluasi, siswa koleris jarang melakukan pemeriksaan ulang karena sudah yakin dengan jawabannya, sedangkan siswa phlegmatis lebih teliti dengan melakukan pemeriksaan untuk memastikan ketepatan hasil.

Abstract

Group homomorphism, a complex topic in the Algebra Structure 1 course at Universitas PGRI Adi Buana Surabaya, requires high-level thinking, creativity, and the integration of ideas. Metacognition plays an important role in helping students have the problem-posing process, which includes understanding, translating, editing, and selecting information. This study aimed to analyze the metacognitive processes of students with low and high abilities in creating problems related to group homomorphism. The findings show that 83.33% of low-ability students operate at the tacit use level, where they do not consciously consider their decisions or thinking processes. In contrast, high-ability students obtained 100% of the reflective use level during the planning and monitoring stages, meaning that they have reflected thought processes before, during, and after problem-posing, while also identifying improvements and next steps. Furthermore, 100% of high-ability students achieve the strategic use level in the evaluation stage, showing their ability to consciously regulate their thought processes and apply targeted strategies to improve the accuracy of their evaluations when creating problems related to group homomorphism.

Abstract

Modul ajar adalah rancangan pembelajaran atau perangkat yang disusun berdasarkan penerpan kurikulum di satuan pendidikan, bertujuan guna mencapai standar kompetensi yang telah ditentukan. Terdapat hubungan yang erat antara Kurikulum dan pembelajaran, hal ini dikarenakan tujuan Kurikulum adalah untuk mewujudkan pendidikan yang berkualitas. Pada Kurikulum Merdeka, pendidik dituntut dapat lebih inovatif dan kreatif dalam merancang rencana pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan perkembangan zaman. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan modul ajar "Mathpreneur" berbasis kurikulum merdeka pada materi yang Aritmatika Sosial kelas VIII SMP. Modul ajar dalam penelitian ini dikembangkan dengan metode pengembangan Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation (ADDIE). Diperoleh modul ajar “Mathpreneur” yang peneliti kembangkan telah memenuhi kriteria valid, praktis, dan efektif. Kata Kunci: Modul ajar, Mathpreneur, Kemampuan Matematika, ADDIE, Kurikulum Merdeka

Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of problem solving skills possessed by participants in preparing for the 21st era which requires students to have problem solving skills. This is caused by a number of factors, among others, low student interest in mathematics subjects, a learning process that still relies on the teacher as a provider of complete information about the material, learning methods that are still ineffective, and the learning model used is still inappropriate. The difficulty usually felt by teachers is the lack of knowledge in using the internet and developing an interesting learning model. This research uses a qualitative approach to the description method. The collection techniques in this study used tests, interviews, and observations. The analysis technique used in this research is data reduction, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that students who have high mathematical problem solving ability are able to solve the two problems given correctly. Learners with moderate solving ability are able to fulfill several indicators of problem solving, while learners with low problem solving ability can be said to be unable to solve the problems given and do not fulfill several problem solving indicators. Abstract

Abstrak: Kemampuan literasi sains peserta didik di sekolah dasar yang masih kurang terutama dalam memahami, menganalisis, dan mengevaluasi informasi terkait kerusakan alam. Penelitian ini terdapat tujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan literasi sains peserta didik sekolah dasar melalui model project based learning pada materi kerusakan alam. Metode yang diterapkan untuk penelitian ini berbentuk quasi eksperimen melalui desain pretest-posttest control group, melibatkan 50 peserta didik di SDN Kepuh Kiriman 1 Waru. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes kemampuan literasi sains. Hasil penelitian membuktikan model project based learning meningkatkan kemampuan literasi sains secara signifikan. Peserta didik menujukkan kemampuan memahami, menganalisis, dan mengevaluasi informasi sains terkait kerusakan alam. Pada Hasil uji hipotesis melalui teknik pengujian uji Independent sample t-test apabila nilai Sig < 0,05 dinyatakan sesuai keputusan mengenai Ha diterima dan Ho ditolak, pada penelitian ini menunjukkan Sig. (2-tailed) < 0,05, dalam nilai signifikasi 0,000, dengan makna Ha diterima dan Ho ditolak. Jadi mampu diperoleh kesimpulan model project based learning efektif untuk meningktakan kemampuan literasi sains peserta didik kelas 5. Kata Kunci: Project Based Learning, Kemampuan Literasi Sains

Abstract

As the low mathematical connection problem shows, students are unable to make mathematical connections on their own. Thus the ability to make mathematical connections is very necessary for training students. This study aims to describe students' mathematical numeracy literacy skills using AKM questions with adapted PISA standards and the difficulties faced by students in solving the given questions. The subjects of this study were grade XI students of SMA Wachid Hasyim 2 Taman Sidoarjo who were selected in one class with a total of 28 students. The type of research used in this study is Mixed Methods Research. The techniques used in this study are test techniques to determine students' ability to solve math numeracy literacy problems, questionnaire techniques to find out students' difficulties, and interviews for in-depth examinations. From the results of the study, it was found that level 1 and 2 category questions were very good, students were able to provide explanations in the form of mathematics and use simple procedures to solve problems. In level 3 and 4 category questions are sufficient, students are still able even though they are not optimal in understanding concepts, representing, and designing solving strategies. On the level 5 question, the category is less. This is because students are less able to represent, reflect, and communicate questions properly and correctly. Level 6 category questions are lacking because students have not been able to apply and master technical mathematical operations, develop new strategies and approaches to deal with new situations, and communicate well. The biggest difficulty faced by students is in analyzing problems, representing, designing solving strategies, accuracy of calculations, and communicating them with argumentation.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the impact of applying Virtual Reality (VR) technology in teaching flat shapes to fourth-grade elementary school students. Using a quantitative experimental approach, two groups of students were compared: the experimental group using VR and the control group using conventional teaching methods. The results showed that the experimental group experienced a significant improvement in material understanding, with an average score increase of 26.86 points (31.7%), compared to the control group's 13.34 points (18.56%). Moreover, 85% of students in the experimental group felt more motivated, and 90% felt more engaged in the learning process. Observations also indicated that students were more active in asking questions and discussing when using VR. The paired t-test results showed strong significance (p = 0.000), indicating that VR effectively enhances students' geometric understanding. It can be concluded that the application of VR is an innovative solution in mathematics education at the elementary level, especially in introducing the concept of flat shapes. Further research is needed to explore the application of VR in broader educational contexts.
