Abstract

Axial Flux Permanent Magnet Generator (AFPMG) of wind turbine generator has been successfully designed and fabricated. The generator has been designed for wind speed in the range of 2-6 m/s and low rotation. The main purpose of study was to design and analyze wind turbine generator with the low speed of wind that can be generated electric power for household. The results showed that the prototype of wind turbine can be generated voltage around 22.5 - 157.1 V with the rotation of the rotor shaft at 150 - 1000 rpm. Meanwhile, the prototype can be generated output power of 98.5 Watt shaft rotation of 1000 rpm when its connected to load. Both current and voltage can be achieved around 151.4 V and 0.651 A, respectively.The prototype was then conneted with DC to DC converter and DC to AC converter to generate output power of 500 W.

Abstract

Proses ironing merupakan salah satu proses metal forming. Aplikasi dari proses ini diantaranya pada proses pembuatan selongsong peluru, dimana ketinggian dari dinding tergantung pada reduksi ketebalan yang digunakan. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan simulasi untuk mengetahui berapakan ketinggian dinding berdasarkan variasi reduksi ketebalan dinding sehingga didapatkan ketinggian yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan dalam pembuatan selonsong peluru. Material yang digunakan untuk selongsong peluru kaliber 20 mm adalah kuningan Cu30% Zn 70% berbentuk cup diameter luar awal 33,5 mm, tebal 3 mm dan tinggi 37 mm. Berdasarkan perhitungan kekuatan material, maka didapat reduksi ketebalan dinding maksimum yang diijinkan pada proses ironing adalah 26,7%. Selanjutnya dengan reduksi tersebut dilakukan simulasi menggunakan metode elemen hingga pada variasi sudut die α = 5ᵒ, 10ᵒ, 15ᵒ, 20ᵒ dan 25ᵒ. Hasil simulasi proses ironing pada masing-masing sudut die α dan prosentase reduksi ketebalan dinding 26,7%, menunjukkan, bahwa selongsong peluru belum dapat melawati die. Setelah dilakukan penambahan gaya pada proses simulasi dan dengan variasi reduksi 5%,10%,15%, 20% dan 25%, menghasilkan untuk reduksi 5% :39mm ,10% : 42mm ,15% : 45mm, 20% :51mm dan 25% : 55mm.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi dan industri saat ini menunjukkan peningkatan yang sangat pesatseiring dengan pertumbuhan ekonomi. Untuk menghadapi perdagangan bebas dan persainganekonomi setiap perusahaan dituntut untuk menghasilkan produk yang memiliki kualitas yang baik. Dengan menggunakan metode eksperimen yang bersifat developmental (berkembang)penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuat alat pendeteksi logam (metal detector) untuk industri makanan menggunakan PLC. Alat ini bisa mendeteksi dan mengambil logam dan dipisahkan dari bahan makanan. Pengendalian yang dilakukanPLC ini meliputi pengendalian motor–motor penggerak dan indikator berupa buzzer yangdidasarkan pada input atau masukan dari rangkaiansensor logam dan limit switch. Dengan proses pendeteksian yang dilakukan alat ini maka dapat dijadikan parameter dalam peningkatan mutu produk-produk industri khususnya dalam industri makanan. Sehingga para konsumen bisa merasa aman dan tidak dirugikan.

Abstract

Dalam proses pengisian aki (charging) dengan sumber listrik yang berasal dari sel surya,tentunya diperlukan sebuah alat kontrol yang berfungsi mengatur sistem pengisian energi listrikyang biasa disebut charge controller atau kontrol pengisian. Pada aplikasinya, kadangkalapenggunaan alat kontrol pengisian tersebut masih terdapat kekurangan, diantaranya ialah alattersebut hanya dapat digunakan untuk pengisian aki dengan tegangan 12 dan 24 volt saja.Sehingga jika digunakan untuk tegangan yang lebih tinggi dari itu, maka diperlukan modifikasisistem pengisian yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan. Penelitian ini merupakan studi kasus pada sistem pengisian aki (charging) mobil listrik BimoBaskoro yang menggunakan sumber listrik dari sel surya. Pada mobil ini terdapat aki dengan totaltegangan 48 volt dengan sumber listrik dari panel surya berkapasitas 100 WP. Penelitian inibertujuan untuk mendapatkan sistem pengisian aki yang efisien. Sistem yang coba diterapkanadalah dengan metode sequensial. Yakni pengisian dengan cara bergantian satu persatu sampaikondisi kapasitas aki penuh dengan dikontrol alat yang telah diprogram untuk bekerja secaraotomatis. Dari hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan, didapatkan bahwa penggunaan metode ini dapatdiaplikasikan untuk kontrol pengisian aki pada mobil listrik Bimo Baskoro dengan keunggulandapat melakukan pengisian aki 48 volt dengan sumber tegangan 12 volt dari energi listrik yangdihasilkan sel surya.

Abstract

Ant Colony Algorithm (ACA) is an optimization algorithm was inspired by ant behavior when searching for the shortest distance from the food center. In this study, ACA is used for power plants with a fuel cost fitness function. ACA can search destinations faster than conventional methods such as Lagrange. In this study ACA used the optimal power flow of six power plants in the Java Bali 500 KV system, the optimization results reduced fuel costs by 23% and Lagrange 17.4% compared to real conditions.

Abstract

To turn on and turn off lights in the mosque area in general still use a manual system that is to turn off and turn on the lights using a switch located on the wall. Therefore, currently a system that has been designed automatically is needed to control the light of life and the outages of lights based on a predetermined time and based on the detection of human presence, so that the lights will turn on and off automatically at the set time according to needs, namely using Real Time Clock (RTC) and Passive Infrared Receiver (PIR) sensors. The results obtainedin the form of a light controller system in the area of the mosque using DS3231 RTC and Arduino Nano At mega 328P PIR Sensor. At 3:00 and 17:00 the condition of the lights is on and at 05:30 and 21:00 the lights are off. For the measurement of PIR sensor detection distance, the distance of 5 meters of the PIR sensor can still detect the presence of human movements, after 5 meters or even 6 meters of the PIR sensor cannot detect human movement. So that within a distance of 6 meters or more, the toilet lights cannot turn on automatically or turn off.

Abstract

The automatic fish grill is a tool that is very helpful for food vendors who are processed in a roasting manner. For now, conventional automatic grills that are already on the market have very expensive prices so that many traders still use manual fish grills which are less efficient in the process of doing them. The purpose of making this automatic fish grill design is to help human work to save more time and energy. The automatic fish roasting box is designed with heat absorbers in each layer, equipped with two racks, each measuring 50cm and also equipped with 2 250 watt heaters. From the test results using different types of carp with different weights, it shows that the automatic fish grill works well and gets a 100% percentage result with evenly cooked fish. The economical level of automatic fish grill has a good value, the whole design of automatic fish grill uses good quality materials and materials. For now, automatic roasters on the market have very expensive prices, this difference in price has made many traders not take full advantage of the technology. Because of this problem, researchers created an automatic fish grill based on a temperature controller, which is targeted at an inexpensive price, but can still be used safely and with maximum results. Thus, using a temperature controller-based automatic fish grill design can help simplify work to make it more efficient and safer.

Abstract

Increasing energy demand, depleting fossil fuel reserves, and environmental concerns have put renewable energy sources in the spotlight in Indonesia. Wind energy in particular, which has received a lot of attention because it is inexhaustible and friendly to the environment. The main problem of the two generating systems is not continuously available. Wind turbines are the main medium used to convert wind energy into electrical energy. A good wind turbine design will determine the performance of a wind power plant (PLTB). This tool is to control the electric power generated from the wind generator, the electric power generated from the generator will be measured the current and voltage. The way the tool works when the generator wheel rotates, the generator will produce electrical power which has been connected to the charger controller before the electric power is stored in the battery. The use of electric power from the battery will be converted using an inverter to convert the DC current to AC. Abstract

Honey is a natural sweet substance produced by bees with nectar flower ingredients containing various nutrients such as carbohydrates, proteins, amino acids, vitamins, minerals, plant pigments and aromatic components. Honey consists of water (17%), fructose (38.2%), glucose (31.3%), other disaccharides (5%), melezitose (<0.1%), erlose (0.8%) , other oligasakarida (3.6%), minerals (0.2%), amino acids (0.3%). It also contains anti-microbial substances, which can prevent some disease on human. Because it has a high economic value and contains unique substances, honey is often falsified. Honey can be faked in various ways by mixing natural artificial sweetener components or by giving the sugar (sucrose) into the honey, so it is dangerous if given to infants or people suffering from diabetes mellitus. The design of this research used spectrofotometer methode and pattern recognition algorithm (machine learning) system for classifying honey quality. It is based on honey having a chromophore group responsible for absorbance, electronic transition and color giver. We can also knowing the type of honey by using pattern recognition algorithm support vector machine.In this research is used three types of honey to using a spectrophotometer at a wavelength of 500 nm, the absorbance obtained in randu honey type of 0.523-0.654, coffee honey for 0.735-0.824, and rubber honey by 0.947-1.043.
