Data collection involved observation and experiments, while data analysis used the Paired Sample T-Test with the help of SPSS. The results of the study showed a significant impact of the control class, which was not involved in role-playing activities, compared to the experimental class that did the activity during learning. The control group data showed a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.334. In the experimental group, a value of 0.000 was obtained, thus based on the decision-making criteria if the significance value (2-tailed) exceeds 0.005. This study concludes that role-playing exercises have a significant impact on the self-confidence of children aged 5-6 years at Al-Ikhlas Kindergarten.

Abstract

This study examines the integration of neuroscience into the school curriculum to enhance students' character development in accordance with Pancasila values. Using a mixed-method approach, the research combines qualitative and quantitative analyses through surveys, interviews, and classroom observations. Participants included 60 individuals, comprising fifth-grade elementary students, teachers, and the principal from a public elementary school in Lebak Regency, Banten, Indonesia. The intervention employed neuroscience-based learning strategies, including Project-Based Learning, Problem-Based Learning, and mindfulness activities. The findings suggest that implementing neuroscience principles enhances students' understanding of moral and social values, while also improving empathy, cooperation, and emotional awareness. The study concludes that integrating neuroscience into education supports both cognitive development and holistic character formation aligned with Pancasila values. It emphasizes collaboration among educators, neuroscientists, and policymakers in creating an inclusive, brain-friendly curriculum to support Indonesia's national education goals

Abstract

Education plays an important role in improving the quality of learning, particularly through the development of effective learning resources. This study aims to determine the effect of reading literacy methods and the use of Serang Javanese comics on the vocabulary skills of fourth-grade students at SDN Kubang Apu. The research method used was a quasi-experiment with a nonequivalent control group design and a quantitative approach. The research instruments were tested for validity and reliability using SPSS, resulting in 30 valid items from 40 statements, with a reliability value of 0.895. The analysis results showed that the data were normally distributed, linear, free of multicollinearity, and had homogeneous variance. Hypothesis testing proved that the literacy method and the use of Serang Javanese comics had a significant effect on improving students' vocabulary skills (p < 0.05). The average pre-test score of 65.41 increased to 74.66 on the post-test, showing an increase of 9.25 points. The use of comics proved to be effective because the visuals and storyline helped students understand the context of vocabulary more easily and interestingly. Thus, the combination of literacy methods and Serang Javanese comics was able to improve vocabulary skills while strengthening the preservation of regional languages in elementary school environments.
