Abstract

Graduates of the accounting vocational High School need mastery of English in order to have a competitive advantage and be ready to enter the world of work. However, so far, learning English in the Accounting class at SMK Negeri Temayang, Bojonegoro is still focused on general skills that are not in accordance with the needs of the world of work. As a result, students do not understand foreign terms contained in financial statements. This service activity aims to increase English vocabulary through crossword accounting puzzles in the form of games and designs. By actively engaging in crossword games and designing their own English puzzles for accounting using free online tools, students can enrich their English vocabulary in Accounting. At the end of this service activity, 16 accounting puzzles were produced that can be used as English learning media.

Abstract

The impact of COVID19 has crippled not only the economic field but also the field of education. Indonesia is one of the countries affected by COVID19 since March 2020. The education process must continue as the government changes the learning activities conducted face-to-face now conducted online. Online learning makes education workers have to be creative and innovative in delivering lessons, especially in grade 1 students. Early reading skills in students are an important concern for teachers and parents who the author chooses to use digital media (YouTube) in the online learning process. The purpose of this research is to find out the influence of digital media (YouTube) on students' early reading ability; to find out the difference in students' initial reading ability using digital media (YouTube) with students without digital media (YouTube). This research uses quantitative methods with quasi-experimental approach. The results of this study showed that the normality test of Shapiro wilk value > 0.05 which means normal distribution. Next Test Paired simple T test with pretest value and posttest experimental group obtained Sig score. (2-tailed) of 0.000 < 0.05 and for control classes of 0.002 < 0.05 in conclusion there is an average difference in students' initial reading ability; and independent sample T test results obtained by Sig (2-tailed) data of 0.045 < 0.05 this score shows that there is a significant difference in students' initial reading ability by using digital media (YouTube) with students without using digital media (YouTube). Based on the results obtained online learning using digital media (YouTube) is very effective to improve the ability to read the beginnings of grade 1 elementary school students.

Abstract

Before Islam came, Javanese people were familiar with the calendar system. The influx of HinduBuddhist influences also influenced the calendar in Java. Then with the start of the establishment of an Islamic-style kingdom on the island of Java, especially during the Islamic Mataram period when the influence of Islam entered the island of Java, the calendar system was changed by the great sultan to a Javanese calendar using Islamic calendar calculations. The Javanese calendar is still in existence so it is necessary to know the adjustments that occur between the Saka calendar and the Hijri calendar which then produces the Javanese Islamic calendar and to know the application used to determine the beginning of the Qomariah month with the aim of knowing howto use the Javanese Islamic calendar and know its application in determining the beginning of themonth of Qomariah. The calculation system used in the Javanese Islamic calendar is the Urfi reckoning system, except in certain years where there are different long and short year appointments at certain times. Based on the results of the analysis, it is concluded that the adjustments of the Javanese Islamic calendar in the calculations are intended to maintain conformity with the hijri calendar.Keywords: Javanese Calendar, Islamic Calendar, Qomariah Calendar

Abstract

One device that is commonly used to demonstrate electrostatic phenomena is the Van de Graaff generator. However, this device is found to be expensive, relatively large, hard to move, and not available in many school laboratories. This paper aims to describe the experiment of creating a simple portable handheld Van de Graaff generator produced by employing second and easily available materials in the local market. This device collects charges from two materials that rub against each other. The combination of chosen materials listed in the triboelectric series determines the type of charge on the generator. This research used the experimental method by continuously testing the prototype to find the best result using the following steps: start, theory, design, material selection and assembly, testing, completion, and finish. A charge conduction experiment and a charge type test through a simple Coulomb experiment or an electrostatic polarity detector successfully tested the final product. The results showed that the device could effectively demonstrate basic electrostatic phenomena, making it a practical and affordable alternative for classroom demonstration.

Abstract

Competition is getting tougher in the culinary field, making Harvest Chicken Express Glenmore need to understand the factors that influence consumer purchasing decisions when buying products. This study aims to examine and analyze the effects of the independent variables, partially and simultaneously, and determine which has the most dominant effect on the dependent variable. The research method uses a quantitative approach with a survey method with a sample of 40 people. Sampling technique with non-probability sampling technique and incidental sampling approach Multiple linear regression analysis techniques, multiple determination coefficients, F and t-tests,  validity test, reliability test, and classic assumption test (normality test, multicollinearity, and heteroscedasticity) Tests were carried out with the IBM SPSS Statistics 25 software analysis tool. Multiple linear regression equation Y = 5.546 + 0.604X1 - 0.148X2 + 0.574X3 + e. Based on the results of the F test, the independent variables simultaneously have a significant effect on the dependent variable. The adjusted R2 test obtained a value of 74.2%. Based on the t-test, it was found that product quality (X1) and price (X3) had a significant effect, while service quality (X2) had no significant effect on consumer purchasing decisions. The most dominant independent variable influencing consumer purchasing decisions at Harvest Chicken Express Glenmore is product quality.

Abstract

Abstrak: Fenomena gerhana merupakan fenomena alam yang jarang atau langkah, fenomena ini juga termasuk salah satu tanda dari kekuasaan Allah SWT. Adapun penentuan saat terjadinya gerhana merupakan salah satu hisab yang memiliki algoritma yang cukup rumit. Dalam hal ini ilmu falak memiliki peranan yang dapat membantu memahami hisab gerhana yakni dalam kitab Ad-Durrul Aniq sehingga dapat menjadi lebih mudah. Artikel ini membahas pengamatan gerhana bulan total yang terjadi pada 8 November 2022 di Masjid Jami’ Manyar, Gresik, Jawa Timur. Selain observasi langsung, kegiatan ini juga melibatkan perhitungan hisab menggunakan kitab Ad-Durrul Aniq. Dalam Islam, gerhana merupakan momentum untuk meningkatkan ketakwaan melalui pelaksanaan salat gerhana dan doa. Secara astronomi, gerhana bulan terjadi saat Bumi berada di antara Matahari dan Bulan dalam satu garis lurus, sehingga bayangan Bumi menutupi Bulan. Observasi lapangan menemukan adanya perbedaan waktu antara hasil hisab dan pengamatan langsung, yang disebabkan faktor cuaca, posisi geografis, dan keterbatasan alat bantu. Kegiatan ini memperkaya pemahaman peserta tentang hisab dan rukyat gerhana serta pentingnya keterpaduan antara teori dan praktik dalam studi astronomi Islam. Kata kunci : Gerhana Bulan, Hisab, Kitab Ad-Durrul Aniq, Masjid Jami’. Abstract: The eclipse phenomenon is a rare natural phenomenon or step; this phenomenon is also one of the signs of the power of Allah SWT. The determination of when an eclipse occurs is one of the hisabs that has a fairly complicated algorithm. In this case, astronomy has a role that can help understand the hisab of the eclipse, namely in the book Ad-Durrul Aniq, so that it can be easier. This article discusses the observation of a total lunar eclipse that occurred on November 8, 2022, at the Jami' Manyar Mosque, Gresik, East Java. In addition to direct observation, this activity also involves the calculation of hisab using the book of Ad-Durrul Aniq. In Islam, the eclipse is a moment to increase piety through the implementation of eclipse prayers and other prayers. Astronomically, a lunar eclipse occurs when the Earth is between the Sun and the Moon in a straight line, so that the Earth's shadow covers the Moon. Field observations found that there was a time difference between the results of hisab and direct observation, due to weather factors, geographical position, and limitations of auxiliary equipment. This activity enriches participants' understanding of hisab and eclipse rukyat as well as the importance of integration between theory and practice in the study of Islamic astronomy. Abstract

Penelitian ini berfokus pada bentuk-bentuk pelanggaran dan akibat hukum yang diterapkan oleh Pemerintah Kota Surabaya terhadap bangunan pemukiman di sempadan sungai yang melanggar Rencana Tata Ruang Wilayah (RTRW). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode normatif dengan pendekatan yuridis normatif (statute approach), yang menelaah peraturan perundang-undangan terkait. Sumber data primer meliputi Undang-Undang Nomor 26 Tahun 2007 tentang Penataan Ruang, Peraturan Pemerintah Nomor 38 Tahun 2011 tentang Sungai, serta Peraturan Daerah Kota Surabaya Nomor 12 Tahun 2014 mengenai Rencana Tata Ruang Wilayah Kota Surabaya Tahun 2014-2034. Sumber data sekunder mencakup jurnal ilmiah, literatur hukum,  buku, hasil penelitian terdahulu, serta pendapat ahli hukum yang relevan. Pengumpulan data melalui studi dokumen dengan menghimpun, membaca, dan menganalisis berbagai peraturan, dokumen hukum, serta referensi ilmiah yang mendukung. Metode analisis data yang diterapkan adalah analisis kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif-analitis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bentuk pelanggaran hukum pada pemukiman di sempadan sungai Kota Surabaya meliputi: 1) pendirian bangunan permanen di area sempadan tanpa izin resmi, baik berupa rumah tinggal, warung, hingga bangunan usaha; 2) alih fungsi lahan sempadan menjadi area komersial atau hunian yang seharusnya berperan sebagai area hijau terbuka atau wilayah penyerapan air; dan 3) pemanfaatan sempadan sungai untuk aktivitas ekonomi yang merusak ekosistem, seperti pembuangan limbah rumah tangga dan usaha ke badan sungai. Akibat hukum dari pelanggaran tersebut mencakup sanksi administratif berupa pembongkaran bangunan, pencabutan izin, denda, dan pemulihan fungsi lahan; sanksi pidana berupa hukuman penjara hingga 3 tahun atau denda maksimal Rp500 juta; serta sanksi perdata yang meliputi gugatan ganti rugi, tuntutan pemulihan lahan, dan pembatalan perjanjian terkait bangunan ilegal.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the legal basis for the violation of the Right of Way of the Surabaya city government and the consequences for housing built by property companies in the city of Surabaya. This study uses a normative legal research type with a statute approach. Primary sources of legal materials include laws and regulations that regulate the right of way, namely East Java Provincial Regulation Number 10 of 2023, Surabaya City Regional Regulation Number 33 of 2019 concerning Road Implementation, Government Regulation Number 21 of 2021 and so on. Meanwhile, secondary sources of legal materials include legal literature, books, journals, articles, and legal studies that discuss the implementation of the right of way, dispute resolution, and corporate legal responsibilities in property development or the like. The data collection technique is carried out through document studies, namely reviewing relevant legal documents and identifying how they are applied in violation cases in the city of Surabaya. Then it is systematically analyzed to get relevant and in-depth conclusions. The results of his research explain that the Surabaya City government has a legal basis to enforce the law against violations of the Right of Way by property companies through several regulations as explained in the discussion. Violations of the Right of Way by property companies in Surabaya can have serious legal consequences, both for the company and the housing they build. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of science student books on the material of Light and Optical Instruments integrated with religious values with the STEM PjBL model approach in improving students' spiritual attitudes and scientific literacy. The study used a quasi-experimental quantitative research method with one group pretest-posttest design. Data collection methods using multiple choice tests and questionnaires. The subjects in this study were 31 students of class VIII C MTs Wahid Hasyim Balung Jember. The results showed that the average N-Gain value of spiritual attitudes was 0.46 with the "Moderate" category. While in the scientific literacy variable, the average N-Gain value of 0.61 was also included in the "Moderate" category. So it can be stated that science student books integrated with religious values based on STEM PjBL can improve students' spiritual attitudes and scientific literacy.
