Abstract

Batik is a cultural heritage of Indonesia that reflects local philosophies and identities through its diverse motifs. In the digital era, automatic classification of batik patterns plays a crucial role in cultural preservation, education, and commercialization. This study aims to develop a batik motif classification system using Vision Transformer (ViT), a deep learning architecture based on self-attention capable of capturing global spatial relationships in images. The dataset comprises 800 images spanning 20 batik motif classes from various regions, divided into training and testing subsets. The ViT model was fine-tuned using pretrained weights from ImageNet-21k, with standard preprocessing and data augmentation applied to the training set. Model performance was evaluated using accuracy, precision, recall, F1-score, confusion matrix, and prediction visualization. Results indicate that ViT achieved an overall accuracy of 96%, with most classes recording F1-scores above 0.90. Evaluation on unseen batik images demonstrated excellent generalization capability, achieving 99.94% confidence in prediction. These findings suggest that ViT is an effective and efficient architecture for batik motif classification and offers valuable contributions to cultural preservation through artificial intelligence.

Abstract

Vocational High School (SMK) is a formal education unit that organizes vocational education at the secondary education level as a continuation of SMP/MTs. There are several  programs specifically for SMK students to increase their scientific capacity and competence. Among the programs intended for SMK students are apprenticeship programs or field work practices (PKL), and UKK (Special Competency Test) which are held as graduation requirements. Furthermore, the program invites Guest Teachers from agencies or outside companies. Besides that, SMK students are also asked to create an entrepreneurship program to train students in the field of private entrepreneurship. The Informatics Engineering Study Program often conducts coaching as Guest Teachers for SMK students to improve their knowledge and skills. In addition, the Informatics Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Engineering, routinely organizes skills training every year to prepare for competency exams, where the competency skills that the Informatics Engineering study program has fostered include Expertise Competence in the fields of Computer and Network Engineering, Software Engineering and Multimedia, where the students who participated in this training came from several vocational high schools in East Lombok Regency. Therefore, to improve quality in terms of the quality of knowledge and skills for teachers and students, on this occasion the Informatics Engineering study program would like to hold a Skills competency training, especially in the field of computer and network engineering, to help teachers and students to have the knowledge and skills qualified. Teachers can provide sound knowledge and expertise to students so that students have good abilities and competencies according to the needs of the industrial world. Keywords: Computer Network Engineering, Training, SMK Expertise.

Abstract

Currently, technological developments have developed very rapidly and quickly, bringing about very big changes because they make the information obtained available quickly, easily, accurately and not limited by place and time. One example of developments in the world of technology is internet technology. With the existence of internet technology, the dissemination of information becomes more practical and easy to access anywhere, anytime, and anyone can access the information. Internet technology not only has an effect on business or trade development, but also has a role in the tourism sector. Because with internet technology, the delivery of information on tourist attractions can be more connected or interactive and the information is easy to obtain. East Lombok Regency, in Sembalun sub-district, especially in Sajang village, there are potential tourist destinations such as Mount Rinjani, Camping Grounds, and Waterfalls as well as Agrotourism, namely Coffee Gardens. Abstract

In the digital era, the ability to operate office software such as Microsoft Office has become an essential need, including for the community of Menceh Village, East Lombok, who still face challenges in accessing technology and digital skills. With a population of 7,568, the majority being junior and senior high school students, limited facilities such as laptops and a lack of technological understanding hinder the learning process. Through the Microsoft Office training program (Word and Excel), the people of Menceh Village were given the opportunity to enhance basic computer skills, both to support formal education and to prepare for the workforce. Based on evaluations, this training successfully improved participants' abilities in creating school documents such as papers and proposals, as well as data management using Microsoft Excel. This program not only benefits the teaching and learning process but also equips participants with digital skills for a more competitive future.

Abstract

The development of information and communication technology currently plays a very important role in various aspects of life, including village government. The use of computerized technology and information systems can increase efficiency, accuracy and transparency in public services. The Menceh Village Office is a place where village residents can gather to carry out various village activities or events, such as socialization held by the village government, village meetings, managing correspondence, and other administrative activities. Apart from that, the Village Office also functions as a place that provides information for village residents. To complete the facilities there, we from the SDGs-Based Village Development KKN, Faculty of Engineering, Hamzanwadi University took the initiative to create running text that can be used to display information or announcements. Previously the Village Office did not have an information board. With running text to display important information at the Village Office, it is hoped that it will be able to help village residents in obtaining important information and announcements from the Menceh Village government.

Abstract

Cases of malnutrition often occur every year, one of them is in Gereneng Timur Village. Because the community's understanding of stunting is still lacking and it is difficult to obtain information quickly, it is a weakness for local governments to be able to identify locations affected by malnutrition. Case handling has also not been effective because data collection is still being carried out manually by the Village Maternity Boarding School (POLINDES) or the village government. The results of this researcher designed web-based software using the waterfall model in the development process and utilized the Geographic Information System (GIS) in mapping stunting locations in East Gereneng Village which aims to display location points along with the number of toddlers affected by stunting and information on how parents prevent stunting from an early age accessed by the community and village government.

Abstract

Realizing the family of sakinah mawaddah and rohmah is the hope of every married couple. How happy to have a family filled with mutual love, love, protect and respect. But apparently realizing a family like that is not the work of turning the palm of the hand. It takes great effort and support from all parties in the family both father, mother and child. The role of the father is very important who acts as a priest who will lead his family in earning a living, providing security in the family. Abstract

Merokok di lingkungan sekolah masih menjadi permasalahan serius karena aktivitas merokok sering dilakukan secara sembunyi-sembunyi di area yang sulit dipantau, seperti toilet, sehingga mengganggu kesehatan dan kedisiplinan siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang dan mengimplementasikan sistem pendeteksi asap rokok berbasis Internet of Things (IoT) menggunakan sensor MQ-2, NodeMCU ESP8266, platform Blynk, LED indikator, serta notifikasi otomatis melalui WhatsApp untuk membantu pihak sekolah memantau pelanggaran merokok di toilet secara real-time. Metode yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan tahapan analisis, perancangan, pengembangan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi hingga menghasilkan prototipe sistem yang siap diuji. Pengujian dilakukan pada toilet berukuran 2x2 meter dengan tinggi 3 meter, menunjukkan bahwa sensor MQ-2 mampu mendeteksi asap rokok dalam rentang sekitar 1–25 detik tergantung jarak sumber asap, dengan ambang batas nilai sensor sekitar 700 untuk membedakan kondisi ada dan tidak ada asap rokok. Sistem berhasil mengirim data kadar asap ke Blynk dan notifikasi WhatsApp dalam waktu sekitar 5–10 detik setelah asap terdeteksi, serta memberikan indikasi visual melalui LED sehingga memudahkan pemantauan kondisi lingkungan. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa sistem pendeteksi asap rokok dengan notifikasi WhatsApp berbasis IoT layak digunakan sebagai alat bantu pengawasan perilaku merokok di lingkungan sekolah

Abstract

This community service activity aims to assist Posyandu cadres in Presak Sakra Village in developing and utilizing an automatic height measurement system based on an ultrasonic sensor. The background of this program is the predominant use of manual measuring tools, which is less efficient, prone to reading errors, and often causes long queues when many toddlers are being served. The developed system employs an HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensor, an Arduino Uno R3 microcontroller, and a 16x2 LCD to display measurement results in real time, making the device more practical and easier to operate for Posyandu cadres. The implementation method includes hardware and software design, laboratory testing of the device, implementation at the Posyandu, training for cadres, and evaluation of system effectiveness in routine health services. Test results indicate that the device can measure body height with a deviation of 0 to 1 cm from the actual height, which is still acceptable for basic health services. In addition to improving efficiency and accuracy, this activity strengthens the role of higher education institutions in transferring appropriate technology and is expected to be replicated in other Posyandu to support improved quality of community health services.

Abstract

Background: Pelestarian alat musik tradisional menghadapi tantangan di era digital, khususnya ketika dokumentasi dan regenerasi pelaku budaya mengalami penurunan. Klenang, sebagai alat musik bilah logam tradisional masyarakat Sasak di Lombok Timur, berada dalam kondisi rentan akibat minimnya media pembelajaran digital dan keterlibatan generasi muda yang masih rendah. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan kapasitas Paguyuban Adiluhung Djati Sware melalui digitalisasi pengetahuan tentang Klenang dan pemanfaatan teknologi sebagai media pembelajaran. Metode: Program dilaksanakan selama delapan bulan di Dusun Dayen Rurung, Desa Padamara, dengan rangkaian kegiatan meliputi sosialisasi, pelatihan digitalisasi budaya dan teknik bermain Klenang, simulasi penerapan aplikasi e-Klenang, serta pendampingan lapangan. Evaluasi dilakukan terhadap 25 peserta menggunakan metode retrospective pre-test dengan skala Likert dan dianalisis menggunakan uji T berpasangan. Hasil: Terdapat peningkatan signifikan pada literasi digital (84%), pemahaman Klenang (68%), dan minat pelestarian budaya (40%) dengan nilai signifikansi p < 0,05. Kesimpulan: Integrasi teknologi dan kearifan lokal melalui aplikasi e-Klenang terbukti efektif sebagai strategi pelestarian budaya yang adaptif dan berpotensi direplikasi pada seni tradisional lainnya.
