Abstract

Abstract

Wearable technology has many options, especially wrist-worn technology. The device can bea smartband, a smartwatch, or a sport watch. Multiple sensors available on this technology enrichedthe data and information transferred to mobilephones via a bluetooth connection. The providedfeatures are not only notifications from smartphones to wrist-worn technology, but also features related with healthy lifestyle information that can be analyzed and researched. The purpose of this research was to determine how optimal these health features were used and beneficial to the users. This research used quantitative method, with non-probability sampling, and voluntary responses sample. It was found from this research that 39.4% of users paid attention to health concern, and 33.3% of users paid moreattention about health concern with wrist-worn technology. Also, 33.3% users stated that technology with health features had good impact on healthy lifestyles, and 30.3% stated the technology had a very good impact.

Abstract

Respiratory diseases require early diagnosis and continuous monitoring, but existing methods involve risky physical contact. This study proposes a new system that uses FMCW radar and machine learning to monitor breathing without contact. FMCW radar can detect respiratory movements in real-time, while machine learning can classify respiratory waveforms. This study evaluates the system with cross-validation Shuffle Split, K-fold, and Stratified K-fold. The results show that Random Forest has the highest accuracy of 94.6% and Naïve Bayes has the shortest time of 0.055 seconds. Shuffle Split performs best overall. This study shows the feasibility and potential of the system for the detection, response, and tracking of respiratory diseases in emergencies.

Abstract

Abstract

A library is essential in education, especially in elementary schools. SD Negeri Rambutan 03 Pagi Jakarta is a public school in East Jakarta with a library. The school library was managed manually, where books with detailed information were stored on a spreadsheet. Some library processes could not perform well, such as tracing how many books were on loan. Based on this situation, a library management system was required to support library activities. Sampoerna University had several collaborations with SD Negeri Rambutan 03 Pagi Jakarta for community services, a workshop, and an internship. In this community service opportunity, We used a qualitative method with internal discussions and literature reviews. We provided a dedicated server machine to be placed on-premise. This machine will be a library automation system over the school's Local Area Network (LAN). Senayan Library Management System (SLiMS) was chosen to be installed on the server because it has the required features to support the school library. One of the essential things is that SLiMS is free and open source. The library automation system has been successfully implemented, and there will be future community service activities to continue the library system development.

Abstract

A high school library is a crucial part of educational infrastructures. Textbooks, e-books, and other collections in a library need to be recorded for circulation and administrative support needs. To provide data for statistical analysis, users of the library must tracked and recorded. Several library activities can be supported by a library automation system (SLiMS). East Jakarta's SMP Negeri 174 Jakarta is a public junior high school with a library. This project to install and implement SLiMS along with configuring the local network and library server. As a result, the library's infrastructure has been properly set up to support the library management system. Data entry for books and library members is currently underway. A guestbook option has also been added, and it is now switching from a manual guestbook to an electronic one to in order to precisely record library visitors.

Abstract

Artificial intelligence is evolving and changing what work means in industrial settings. Smart machines are replacing numerous tasks normally done by human workers. Thus, the young generation needs to be prepared and guided, making them aware of what competencies they should acquire before entering the society. The present community service activity aims to communicate the importance of understanding Smart Machines Technology and Netiquette for Highschool-Students in a public senior high school in Cirebon city, namely SMAN 6 Cirebon. A seminar about smart machines and netiquette was conducted. The young generation frequently uses social networking sites to communicate with friends. Ethics in communication must be appropriately implemented in online platforms. In parallel, a digital library system was developed in the school. Literature review, interviews with digital technology professionals, and discussions with school librarians were carried out throughout this community service activity.

Abstract

School libraries play a crucial role in literacy development by providing reading materials to students. Implementing library automation systems is an effective solution, enabling simplified cataloging, circulation control, and reporting. Automated systems streamline resource management and expand user access. The Senayan Library Management System (SLiMS), a freely available program developed to streamline library processes, is recognized as a potential option for enhancing a school's library feature and developing educational institution assets. The objectives of this community service were to implement a library automation system to enhance the school library features and services. Also, this activity was for system implementation experiences for the higher students. The community service initiatives were carried out in the SDN Gadog 2, Indonesia, between September and October of 2023. This concludes that SLiMS was successfully implemented, trained, and helpful as it enhances the flexibility of borrowing and accessing books.
