Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

Teaching pronunciation skills in English is an important aspect that needs to be paid attention to in the learning process. Many students have difficulty pronouncing certain sounds, such as /r/, /l/, /θ/, and /ð/. Therefore, teachers need to apply methods that are engaging, interactive, and in accordance with the needs of students. One of the methods used in this study is the tongue twister game which is considered effective in practicing pronunciation in a fun way. This study aims to describe the application of the sound repetition game method in pronunciation learning in grade VII of SMPN 1 Sitiung and to identify its advantages and weaknesses. The approach used is qualitative descriptive with a case study design. The data collection technique was carried out through observation and interviews with teachers and students of grade VII for the 2025/2026 school year. The results of the study show that this method is applied gradually, starting from giving examples by teachers to taking turns reciting practice by students. The use of media in the form of text and pictures helps students' understanding. The students' responses showed increased confidence and pronunciation ability. The learning atmosphere became more active and fun. However, some challenges were also found, such as the need for longer time and there are still students who lack confidence when speaking in front of the class.Teaching pronunciation skills in English is an important aspect that needs to be paid attention to in the learning process. Abstract

This research aims to apply the Problem Solving method to overcome the difficulties of fifth grade students at SDN 126 Inpres Kariango in memorizing and understanding the main material of the Al-Quran. This Classroom Action Research (PTK) was carried out through three cycles involving planning, implementation, observation and reflection stages. The research results show that the Problem Solving method is effective in improving students' memorization abilities and deepening their understanding of the meaning of memorized verses. The application of this method also increases students' learning motivation, where students who were previously less motivated become more enthusiastic in memorizing and understanding the Al-Quran. Apart from that, there has been an increase in students' social skills, such as the ability to work together and communicate through group discussions which are part of the Problem Solving process. The implications of this research show that the Problem Solving method can be an effective alternative in learning to memorize the Quran, by providing space for students to think critically, independently, and understand the meaning of the verses in more depth. Teachers also play an important role as facilitators in guiding students in the problem solving process.

Abstract

Tourism plays a vital role in regional economic development, particularly in priority destinations such as Mandalika in Central Lombok, yet limited research has examined the key determinants of tourist visits to specific sites within this area. This study aims to assess the effects of attractiveness, facilities, accessibility, and promotion on the number of tourist visits to the Merese Hill tourist destination, which is part of the Mandalika Special Economic Zone (KEK), Central Lombok. The research addresses a gap in understanding how these four factors interact to influence visitor behavior in newly developed tourism areas. The study adopts a quantitative approach using a multiple linear regression model. Primary data were collected through accidental sampling by distributing questionnaires to 100 tourists who visited Merese Hill in June 2025. The findings revealed that the four independent variables significantly affect the level of tourist arrivals, both simultaneously and partially. Among them, attractiveness emerged as the most influential factor, followed by promotion, facilities, and accessibility. These findings underscore the importance of managing destination attractiveness and optimizing digital promotion strategies to strengthen Mandalika’s competitiveness in the national and international tourism markets.
