Abstract

Experts have recently highlighted a decline in food production, especially potato production when combined with climate change. With fluctuations in rainfall, planting time greatly influences potato production. To stabilize it, we can adjust the potato planting time by analyzing climate changes and land changes. So that the use of technology for forecasting planting times that is suitable for potatoes can be done to create sustainable potato production. The study area for this research is Batu City. This is because Batu City is one of the productive potato producing areas. Data acquisition was carried out using secondary data from two government agencies, namely the Water Services Agency and the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency. Table data obtained on monthly averages was processed using open source software, namely QGIS 2.14 (essen). Through research, we found a method to predict the appropriate potato planting time based on rainfall data. January to April is the recommended time to plant potatoes. Meanwhile, from June to October it is not recommended to plant potatoes.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is first, to find the formulation of KKG empowerment strategy in the development of sustainable professionalism for Islamic Religious Education (PAI) Teachers and to find the impact and obstacles of effective empowerment of Teacher Working Groups (KKG) in the development of sustainable professionalism. This study uses the Participatory Action Research (PAR) research method. The subjects of the study include the administrators of KKG PAI Teachers. Data collection techniques use documentation, interviews and observations. Data analysis techniques use interactive analysis techniques (interactive analysis model). The results of the study indicate that in formulating a KKG empowerment strategy in the development of sustainable professionalism for PAI Teachers, it is carried out through PAR steps using the term KUPAR (to Know, to Understand, to Plan, to Action and to Reflection). The use of PAR steps in empowering KKG is able to compile programs in the development of effective sustainable professionalism for PAI Teachers. The follow-up to the results of this study is the creation of a PKB program for PAI Teachers consisting of self-development, scientific publications and innovative works implemented in several ways. This can be a reference for related parties in implementing the empowerment model through KKG for the development of sustainable professionalism for Islamic Religious Education Teachers.

Abstract

Apple is a high-value import fruit in Indonesia. One of the Apple production centers in Indonesia is Batu City, but the results tend to be declining in every year. To fulfill the demand of domestic apple industry, it is than a must to open new plantation land by observing the spatial factor. Expert and direct field review are needed to perform the analysis of land suitability, so that it will takes a lot of time and effort. Therefore, a smart system that can conduct geospatial analysis by using fuzzy inference system is developed. The data was obtained by using satellite imagery, data interpolation, and digitized and then analyzed into information. The analysis was performed on each pixel with six variable inputs including altitude, rainfall, humidity, air temperature, soil type and sun shine intensity. Besides that, the five-clustering output makes the results more accurate. From the results of the accuracy test, it is obtained a 92,86% accuracy, by comparing the results of the spatial analysis using fuzzy inference system with direct review on the field.
