Abstract

High school students' interest in careers in science and engineering tends to be low, especially in certain regions such as Papua. This can hinder human resource development and the development of the region. This activity aims to educate students to be able to pursue a career in science and technology. In addition, this activity is also intended to evaluate the effectiveness of a career seminar in increasing high school students' interest in working in science and engineering. The career seminar activity was carried out by presenting presentations from speakers accompanied by discussion sessions and interactions with participants. Surveys and interviews were used to collect data before and after the event to measure changes in student interest. This seminar succeeded in increasing student interest in studying and pursuing careers in science and engineering. The data showed a significant increase in students' understanding of career opportunities and their role in regional development. Because of its benefits, it is recommended that similar activities be carried out periodically and involve more parties, such as local industries and universities, to provide broader and deeper insights to students.

Abstract

The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in legal practice has brought both transformative advancements and significant ethical challenges. This study examines the role of AI in enhancing advocacy practices, including legal research, document automation, and case prediction. Despite its potential for improving efficiency and accessibility, AI raises concerns regarding professional ethics, particularly around issues such as client confidentiality, accountability, and the independence of advocates. Using a normative approach and literature review, this research aims to analyze the implications of AI in the legal field, focusing on its impact on the advocacy profession and the ethical dilemmas it creates. The findings reveal that while AI can streamline administrative tasks and support data-driven decision-making, it also presents risks such as data security breaches and loss of human judgment in complex legal cases. The study highlights the necessity for stronger ethical guidelines and regulatory frameworks to safeguard client interests and preserve the integrity of the legal profession. This research emphasizes the importance of integrating AI into legal practice while maintaining a balance between technological advancement and ethical responsibility.

Abstract

Many political events that Saeful Zaman Channel can discuss and criticize daily are the background of this research with the theme "Strategy for Packaging Political Content on the Saeful Zaman YouTube Channel". This research aims to determine the content packaging strategy in terms of the settings on the YouTube account, the stages of content production, and the benefits of political content for viewers. This research method is a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data collection techniques are interviews, observation and document analysis. The results of the study show that a content packaging strategy can be created through efforts to package account settings on YouTube Studio as a media identity that must be able to radiate a positive image to the public supported by story ideas that can speak for the public interest, then during live streaming it is important for YouTubers to show interaction with the audience, through the YouTuber's response to each viewer's comment as well as analyzing the comments, then from the benefits of content it must be able to provide more value than just conveying information, namely being a means to change people's mindset so that they are more sensitive and concerned about the current social and political situation.

Abstract

Abstract Practicum-based science learning contributes to students' psychomotor learning outcomes, which makes it one of the methods for achieving student learning outcomes. Practical activities not only enable students to master various science process skills, but also build scientific attitudes that support the process of acquiring knowledge (science products). This research aims to determine teachers' perceptions regarding the effectiveness of practicum-based science learning in Sorong Regency elementary schools. This research is qualitative research using a descriptive approach with data collected through observation, interviews and documentation. The data sources used are primary data and secondary data, the data is analyzed through data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. Interview results show that 90% of educators stated that they were ready to carry out practicum-based learning and educators believe that practicums enable students to be directly involved in the learning process and quickly understand, practicum activities are carried out using simple and adaptable tools and materials. However, during learning through practicum, many challenges arise from educators and students.

Abstract

Company X is a paving block molding machine fabrication company in Surabaya. However, the machine still has some shortcomings because it is still conventional or manually operated. Some of these shortcomings, such as being still prone to human error and being less consistent when operating, can affect the results of the amount of production. From this phenomenon, automation is very important in the industrial world. Therefore, by referring to previous phenomenon, through this research, an automatic control system is made on paving block molding machine using PLC. The results showed that PLC succeeded in developing a system that works automatically on the machine. Then, the ladder diagram used several instructions, including interlock, timer, counter, and set reset according to how the machine works. Then, the PLC-based automatic control system has a shorter cycle time than the original manual machine. Cycle time has decreased by 15.4%. From this decrease in cycle time, if simulated related to production capacity, an automatic control system can increase production per hour by 300 pcs more than the manually operated machine.
