Abstract

Abstrak: Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan kemampuan bahasa Jepang calon pekerja dari siswa SMK NU 1 Slawi melalui pendekatan pembelajaran berbasis kecerdasan buatan (AI), khususnya dalam konteks persiapan bekerja di Jepang. Metode Pelaksanaan meliputi pelatihan interaktif menggunakan aplikasi Mai Nichi no Seikatsu dan Bimi Japan serta simulasi komunikasi di dunia kerja Jepang. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan peningkatan pembelajaran bahasa Jepang (kosakata, pola kalimat, percakapan). Tingginya partisipasi calon pekerja menunjukkan pendekatan pembelajaran berbasis AI sangat relevan dan menarik bagi generasi muda mempersiapkan diri dalam menghadapi tantangan global bekerja di Jepang. Kegiatan ini membuktikan pembelajaran bahasa Jepang tidak terbatas dengan metode konvensional namun dapat dikembangkan melalui inovasi digital yang praktis. Sebanyak 92% siswa merasa metode ini dapat membantu dan efektif dalam pembelajaran bahasa Jepang. Oleh karena itu, integrasi tekonologi pembelajaran berbasis AI dalam lingkungan sekolah perlu di dorong guna mempersiapkan siswa menghadapi tantangan global dan peluang kerja di Jepang.   Kata Kunci: Pembelajaran bahasa Jepang, Kecerdasan buatan, Pendidikan vokasi, tenaga kerja di Jepang, teknologi pendidikan Abstract:  This community service activity aims to improve the Japanese language proficiency of prospective workers from SMK NU 1 Slawi students through an artificial intelligence (AI)-based learning approach, particularly in the context of preparing to work in Japan. The implementation method included interactive training using the Mai Nichi no Seikatsu and Bimi Japan applications, as well as communication simulations in Japanese workplace scenarios. The results showed a significant improvement in Japanese language learning, particularly in vocabulary, sentence patterns, and conversational skills. The high level of participation among prospective workers indicates that AI-based learning is highly relevant and appealing to younger generations as they prepare to face global challenges in working abroad. This activity demonstrates that Japanese language learning is not limited to conventional methods but can be enhanced through practical digital innovations. A total of 92% of students stated that this method was helpful and effective in learning Japanese. Therefore, the integration of AI-based learning technology in school environments should be encouraged to better prepare students for global challenges and job opportunities in Japan. Abstract

This study analyzes the use of sonkeigo in the scope of work at a gas station company in Hiroshima, Japan and the difficulties faced by Japanese language learners regarding the use of sonkeigo. The method used is descriptive qualitative with interviews, observations and documentation. The theory used is Fishman's theory (1972). This study aims to determine sonkeigo speech acts in real-world interactions between students who have interned in Japan and native speakers, and to analyze the realistic and social difficulties faced by these students in applying sonkeigo in a professional in a gas station company. Based on the results. The use of sonkeigo in service can be identified through several linguistic characteristics, namely the addition of the verbs "reru" and "rareru" to show respect, the use of the sentence pattern "ni.. narimasu" to express respect, and the use of special sonkeigo verb forms such as "kudasaru", "nasaru", and "irassyaru" which indicate a higher level of respect. And honorific prefixes and suffixes are also used. In the use of sonkeigo in the scope of work of gas station companies, Japanese language learners face several difficulties, lack of habit and experience in using sonkeigo, differences in Japanese language ability and cultural background, dependence on senior native speaker staff, and difficulty in determining the use of sonkeigo with other language forms.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Minat baca siswa di sekolah terutama di sekolah dasar masih kurang. Padahal membaca merupakan keterampilan yang sangat esensial untuk menempuh jenjang Pendidikan dari tingakt dasar hingga perguruan tinggi. Gerakan literasi sebenarnya sudah dilaksanakan di berbagai tingkat pendidikan untuk meningkatkan mint abaca, namun belum cukup untuk meningkatlkan minat baca siswa. Maka guru harus memiilki strategi khusus dalam meningkatkan minat baca para siswanya. Membaca nyaring menjadi salah satu teknik pembelajaran alternatif yang mampu meningkatnkan minat baca pemelajar. Rencana kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dirancang selama satu tahun bersama mitra yaitu SDN Jangari. Topik  PKM ini adalah pelatihan Read Aloud sebagai strategi peningkatan kompetensi guru SD di desa binaan, yakni SDN Jangari. Kegiatan PKM akan berupa pelatihan Read Aloud dan lomba Read Aloud untuk kalangan guru SDN Jangari. Tim PKM yang terdiri dosen dan mahasiswa Pascasarjana Program Doktoral Linguistik Terapan akan bekerjasama dengan mitra yakni SDN Jangari. ABSTRACTStudents' interest in reading at school, especially in elementary school, is still lacking, but the ability to read is really needed to for education and careers to a higher level. The literacy movement has actually been implemented at various levels of education to increase reading comprehension, but it is not enough to improve the reading interest among students. So teachers must have special strategies to increase their students' interest in reading. One strategy that teachers can use to increase students' reading comprehension is reading aloud. This community service activity plan is designed for one year with partners, namely SDN Jangari. The topic was Read Aloud training as a strategy to increase the competency of elementary school teachers in the target village, namely SDN Jangari. This community service activities were conducted via Read Aloud training and competitions for Jangari Elementary School teachers. The PKM team consisting of lecturers and postgraduate students from the Applied Linguistics Doctoral Program will collaborate with partners, namely SDN Jangari.
