Abstract

The Kubu Raya landfill uses an open dumping system in its operations. (This method is no longer recommended for use in Indonesia).  In this research, we describe the conditions surrounding the Kubu Raya TPA using observational methods and interviews with a descriptive approach. We describe landfill operations, infrastructure and facilities, daily waste volume, Kubu Raya landfill resources, remaining land, and service life. We also discuss future landfill land needs. The Kubu Raya landfill uses an open dumping system and does not practice vector control. The leachate collection facilities don't function, and the landfill's existing facilities and infrastructure need improvement. We have 270 m3 of waste entering Kubu Raya landfill each day, with a workforce of 37. The landfill covers 270 ha, and its remaining service life is approximately 300.84 days. In Kubu Raya Regency, it is necessary to consider adding 14.6 ha of land or building a new landfill. We need vector control efforts, infrastructure improvements, and considerations for additional land to make Kubu Raya TPA's waste management more environmentally friendly and efficient.

Abstract

Introduction: Children with Congenital Heart Disease are at high risk of feeding and growth problems. Nutrition practices for children with CHD still vary widely across institutions, including breastfeeding. This study aims to conduct a critical review to compare the effects of breastfeeding versus formula on the growth of infants with congenital heart disease. Methods: The article search was conducted online using the PubMed, EBSCO, and ProQuest databases with the keywords “Congenital Heart Disease,” “Human Milk,” “Formula,” and “Growth.” Result: Two articles were obtained in the form of systematic review studies. Results of the study stated that in infants with CHD with breastfeeding compared to formula milk Weight for age score is better with breastfeeding because breast milk is easier to digest Conclusion. Breast milk has been shown to have significant benefits on the growth of infants with CHD compared to formula, especially in terms of weight-for-age z-score.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a strategic role in driving local economic growth, particularly in rural areas. One MSME with significant development potential is “Keripik Si Umi,” located in Sukakarya Village, Bogor Regency. However, this MSME still faces challenges in packaging, labeling, and marketing, which limits its competitiveness in the market. This community service program aimed to provide assistance in improving product packaging, labeling, and online marketing. The implementation methods included an initial observation to identify problems, technical training on packaging and labeling, and direct mentoring in applying digital marketing strategies. The results indicated a significant improvement in packaging quality, shifting from simple LDPE plastic to standing pouch packaging made of polypropylene, which is more appealing and durable. In terms of labeling, the product now meets the standard consumer information requirements. Furthermore, product marketing has successfully expanded through online platforms, increasing market reach. This program concludes that the intervention enhanced the competitiveness of Keripik Si Umi by improving product quality and optimizing marketing, which is expected to contribute to increased sales revenue and sustainable business growth in the long term.

Abstract

Virus pada aspek fisis masih sangat menarik untuk dikaji berdasarkan konsep Fisika. Salah satu ciri virus adalah kekakuan cangkang virus tersebut. Dalam tinjauan selanjutnya, cangkang virus dapat diasumsikan sebagai pegas. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis akurasi dan wawasan mengenai kekakuan cangkang virus secara teoretik dengan menggunakan selesaian persamaan Michell. Dalam artikel ini, dikaji nilai kekakuan cangkang virus secara teoretik melalui metode analitik dan simulasi dengan mengkaji berbagai sumber pustaka terkait. Metode analisis didasarkan pada teori plate & shell, serta dibahas mengenai suatu metode analitik lainnya, yakni dengan menggunakan persamaan Michell. Metode simulasi didasarkan pada metode finite element analysis (FEA). Dikaji konstanta elastisitas dua jenis virus, yakni virus HIV-1 (matang) dan HIV-1 (belum matang). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa virus HIV-1 (matang) memiliki konstanta elastisitas yang lebih kecil bila dibandingkan dengan konstanta elastisitas virus HIV-1 (belum matang). Hal tersebut sangat terkait dengan karakteristik virus tersebut, yakni ukuran, ketebalan, dan sifat instrinsik virus.  Virus dengan ketebalan cangkang yang lebih kecil memiliki konstanta elastisitas yang lebih kecil, sehingga lebih efisien untuk menginfeksi sel inang dibandingkan dengan virus yang memiliki konstanta elastisitas yang lebih besar.
