Abstract

This research explores the symbolic meanings within the traditional ceremony of "sedekah bumi" in Pelem Village, Gabus Subdistrict, Grobogan Regency. Employing a phenomenological approach, data was gathered through interviews and documentation, with focused data analysis involving reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the traditional ceremony serves as an expression of gratitude and a harmonious connection with nature. The community engages in collaborative activities, rituals, and prayers as a form of reverence to God and the surrounding environment. Despite perceptual differences between the younger generation and elders regarding the relevance of the tradition, the traditional ceremony persists to preserve cultural identity and heritage values. The impact of differing societal perceptions creates social dynamics reflecting generational conflicts and cultural changes. This research provides profound insights into the importance of communicating cultural values to maintain a balance between tradition and positive development in a multicultural society.

Abstract

The communication process is the most important part of conversation and building relationships. Communication that takes place between two or more people with direct message effects is the definition of interpersonal communication. Interpersonal communication is something that is important for human life, in the communication process language becomes one of the tools for communication. This research aims to examine whether there is a shift in the use of Javanese among generation Z in everyday life. The research used is a case study that focuses on the shift in Javanese communication among Generation Z teenagers. Primary data collection techniques were taken from short interviews with informants or resource persons from Generation Z teenagers born in 2000 to 2010, as well as secondary data obtained through literature and source studies. related sources. Data analysis techniques are carried out simultaneously with the data collection process and to test the validity of the data, source triangulation is carried out to obtain accurate and accountable data. This research will provide an overview of whether there is a shift in the structure of the Javanese language in the generation Z environment during the communication process.

Abstract

[Bahasa]: Era digital yang berkembang pesat berpengaruh terhadap penyelenggaraan pembelajaran di semua level pendidikan. Guru yang memiliki peran krusial dalam pembelajaran harus memiliki kemampuan yang adaptif terhadap perubahan tersebut. Namun, banyak guru khsusunya pada level Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini (PAUD) menghadapi tantangan dalam mengintegrasikan teknologi ke dalam proses pembelajaran dan pengajaran. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan literasi digital pada guru anak usia dini. Metode pelaksanaan pengabdian yaitu dengan melakukan workshop yang berisi deskripsi pemahaman literasi digital dan praktik membuat materi ajar melalui software digital. Eskperimen yang melibatkan 49 partisipan dari 20 PAUD dilakukan untuk mengukur efektivitas implementasi workshop literasi digital. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui penyebaran angket pretest dan posttest, observasi dan wawancara. Hasil program pengabdian ini menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan literasi digital memberikan peningkatan literasi digital pada guru. Temuan pengabdian ini menunjukkan bahwa efikasi diri dan faktor sosial memberikan kontribusi terhadap keberhasilan training dalam program. Pelaksanaan training digital literasi dengan mempertimbangkan elemen-elemen teori kognitif sosial menjadi alternatif untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru PAUD dalam praktik mengajar. Kata Kunci: guru PAUD, literasi digital, pelatihan, kompetensi [English]: The rapid development of the digital era affects teaching and learning practices at all levels of education. Teachers who play a crucial role in learning must have adaptive skills to respond to these changes. However, integrating technology into the learning and teaching process remains challenging for teachers of Early Childhood Education (ECED). This community service program aims to improve digital literacy in early childhood teachers. The workshop method was used in this program through the introduction of digital literacy understanding and practice of creating teaching materials through digital software. An experiment involving 49 participants from 20 PAUD was conducted to measure the effectiveness of the digital literacy workshop implementation. Data were collected through pretest and posttest questionnaires, observations, and interviews. The results show that the training in this community service program can improve digital literacy in teachers. The findings show that self-efficacy and social factors contribute to the effectiveness of the training program. Digital literacy training for early childhood education teachers involving elements of social cognitive theory is an alternative way to improve their teaching and learning practice competence. Abstract

This research discusses the process of cultural assimilation in an interethnic marriage between Banjar and Javanese ethnicities in Jayengan Village, Solo. This cultural assimilation has occurred since the colonial period due to interethnic migration and intermarriage. The intermingling of Banjar, Javanese and Chinese ethnicities results in a multicultural culture and social identity. The assimilation process between Banjar and Javanese ethnicities in Jayengan Village shows a uniqueness that is influenced by creative economic dynamics, Javanese cultural dominance, and regional characteristics. Using a qualitative approach and purposive sampling technique, the researcher interviewed six couples who have been married for more than five years. The results show that assimilation occurs in various aspects of life, such as language use, eating habits, traditions, parenting, as well as social and religious practices. The dominant Javanese culture in the Jayengan neighborhood affects the Banjar ethnic's adaptation process, but relationships remain harmonious thanks to open and respectful intercultural communication. An inclusive social environment also accelerates cultural acceptance of each other. This study concludes that assimilation in inter-ethnic marriages is not simply a cultural unification, but a dynamic process that shapes multicultural family identity and strengthens social harmony in a pluralistic society.

Abstract

The phenomenon of digital asset investment emerged in the midst of the ongoing pandemic, one of which is investing in crypto coins. This research aims to identify and find out how effective influencer communication strategies on social media platforms are in building investment awareness. This research uses descriptive qualitative research methods. The results of this research are First, the communication strategy used by influencers with (1) influencers providing direction that investment is a good and beneficial thing. (2) the influencers who are followed have an educational background that is suitable as a financial planner who is an expert in their field (3) The number of influencers who contribute and persuade the general public from all economies and the messages conveyed are quite informative (4) starting to provide an understanding of investment through social media (5) ) Providing education regarding decisions to increase literacy regarding investment, especially trading. Second, the communication strategy used by influencers on social media platforms is effective because the influencer has the appropriate educational background as a financial planner who is an expert in their field

Abstract

This study aims to develop and implement an integrated e-learning module to enhance academic summarization skills in English for students at Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta (UMS). The module was designed to support English for Academic Purposes (EAP) learning and was integrated into regular courses. Through a combination of online and face-to-face learning, the module covered four key areas: summary organization, grammatical accuracy, academic vocabulary, and summarization techniques. The implementation involved a series of workshops and guided practice sessions, supported by self-directed learning through an e-learning platform. Quantitative evaluation was conducted using the English Proficiency Exam (EPE) and the Computerized Assessment System (CAS) across three student groups, with assessments administered on three platforms: traditional, Schoology, and OpenLearning. The results showed that students using the Schoology platform achieved the highest average EPE score (422.99). In contrast, CAS results were comparable across platforms (3.20 for the traditional group, 3.16 for Schoology, and 3.15 for OpenLearning). These findings indicate that the e-learning module is efficacious in improving academic summarization skills and can be sustainably implemented to support academic literacy at UMS.

Abstract

Sistem termoregulasi yang belum matang mengakibatkan bayi prematur sangat rentan terhadap ketidakstabilan suhu tubuh dan frekuensi nadi. Salah satu teknik posisi yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kenyamanan dan stabilitas fisiologis bayi adalah intervensi nesting. Tujuan : mengidentifikasi efektifitas penggunaan nesting untuk mempertahankan suhu tubuh dan frekuensi nadi pada bayi prematur. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan desain pre post test without control pada bayi prematur yang dirawat di ruang perinatologi. Suhu tubuh dan frekuensi nadi diukur sebelum dan sesudah intervensi nesting. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji t dependen. Hasil: Setelah intervensi, suhu tubuh rata-rata meningkat dari 36,4°C sebelum intervensi menjadi 36,7°C setelah intervensi. Frekuensi nadi juga turun dari 140 kali per menit menjadi 137 kali per menit. Perubahan ini menunjukkan bahwa bayi prematur menjadi lebih stabil secara fisiologis setelah nesting. Kesimpulan: Nesting efektif membantu meningkatkan stabilitas suhu tubuh dan frekuensi nadi pada bayi prematur. Intervensi ini dapat direkomendasikan sebagai bagian dari perawatan suportif di ruang perinatologi yang murah dan tanpa efek samping

Abstract

This study discusses the communication accommodation process of students from South Sumatra in interacting with the local at Uuniversity Muhammadiyah Surakarta. The background of this study is based on the differences in language, character, and social customs between the Javanese community and students from South Sumatra, which pose challenges in the process of intercultural communication. The purpose of this study is to understand the forms of communication adjustment made by students in facing cultural differences and the strategies used to adapt to a new environment. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with six informants who are students from South Sumatra from the 2021-2023 batch. The results show that students experience culture shock at the beginning of their studies due to differences in language and manners. However, through the process of communication accommodation, they began to adjust their speaking style, tone of voice, and social behavior in accordance with Javanese cultural norms (convergence), without losing their original cultural identity (divergence). This adaptation process had a positive effect on their ability to interact, increased social acceptance, and strengthened mutual respect between cultures on campus.

Abstract

This study addresses a critical gap in the Indonesian inheritance system, where legal pluralism between the Civil Code and the Compilation of Islamic Law often creates ambiguity in the application of wills, leading to frequent inheritance disputes due to the absence or improper formulation of testamentary documents. The research aims to examine the urgency and legal function of wills as preventive instruments in minimizing inheritance conflicts from both civil and Islamic legal perspectives. This study employs a normative legal research method with statutory and conceptual approaches, relying on primary legal sources, doctrinal analysis, and qualitative interpretation. The findings reveal that a will possesses strong legal authority when it complies with formal and material legal requirements. However, its implementation is constrained by the doctrine of legitime portie in civil law and the one-third limitation in Islamic law, unless agreed otherwise by all heirs. Empirically, the absence of a written and authentic will often triggers disputes due to unclear asset distribution, conflicting interpretations, and weak evidentiary standing. The study emphasizes that wills drafted as notarial deeds provide stronger legal certainty and protection. The global implication of this research lies in offering a model for managing legal pluralism in inheritance systems, highlighting the role of formal legal instruments in dispute prevention, strengthening legal certainty, and promoting equitable wealth distribution across diverse legal traditions.

Abstract

Dalam era banjir informasi digital, figur publik di media sosial kian memainkan peran sentral dalam pembentukan opini publik. Penelitian ini mengupas akun kontroversial @DokterTifa, yang dikenal luas di Indonesia karena narasi-narasi kritisnya terhadap kebenaran akan isu ijazah palsu mantan presiden Jokowi. Menerapakan analisis multimodal, kajian ini menelusuri bagaimana konstruksi identitas dan agenda ideologi dibentuk, dikomunikasikan, dan dimobilisasi melalui kata, simbol, serta strategi retorika. Penelitian ini memfokuskan pada keterkaitan multimodal antar semua unsur dalam postingan baik tekstual maupun visual dengan menggunakan pendekatan semiotika sosial oleh Gunther Kress and Theo van Leeuwen untuk mendapatkan makna dari tanda dan narasi secara utuh.  Strategi wacana yang digunakan oleh akun @DokterTifa secara konsisten menerapkan gaya bahasa retoris dan sarkastik, serta pemilihan representasi visual yang mendukung klaim pada teks. Hal ini digunakan untuk membingkai narasi identitas rakyat sipil yang kritis dan akademis yang berani, beroposisi terhadap kekuasaan yang dianggap manipulative dan tertutup, serta agenda ideologis untuk mendelegitimasi supremasi hukum dan otoritas negara. In the era of digital information overload, public figures on social media increasingly play a central role in shaping public opinion. This study examines the controversial account @DokterTifa, widely known in Indonesia for its critical narratives regarding the truth of the fake diploma issue surrounding former President Jokowi. Applying multimodal analysis, this study explores how identity construction and ideological agendas are formed, communicated, and mobilized through words, symbols, and rhetorical strategies. This research focuses on the multimodal interrelationships between all elements in posts, both textual and visual, using a social semiotic approach by Gunther Kress and Theo van Leeuwen to derive the full meaning of signs and narratives. The discourse strategies employed by the @DokterTifa account consistently employ rhetorical and sarcastic language styles, as well as the selection of visual representations that support the claims in the text. This is used to frame the narrative of a critical and academic citizen identity who is bold, opposing power perceived as manipulative and closed, and an ideological agenda to delegitimize the rule of law and state authority.
