Abstract

Lebih dari 210 negara terkena wabah Covid-19 termasuk Indonesia. Salah satu langkah agar terbebas dari pandemi Covid-19 yaitu dengan melakukan upaya vaksinasi. Di Indonesia pelaksanaan vaksinasi masih mengalami pro dan kontra, selain itu masyarakat juga mempertanyakan efektivitas dari vaksin dengan alasan bahwa vaksin menimbulkan efek samping dan kehalalannya masih diragukan. Penelitian ini ingin meneliti tentang strategi respon pemerintah Eks karesidenan Surakarta terhadap penanganan Vaksinasi Covid-19. Teori yang digunakan yaitu SCCT Situational Crisis Communication, sumber data yang diambil yaitu berita online mengenai vaksin di daerah Eks karesidenan surakarta pada media Solopos.com dan Tribunsolo.com. Penelitian ini menggunakan validitas, reliabilitas dan uji beda. Validitas yang digunakan yaitu validitas isi, reliabilitas antar coder, uji beda menggunakan uji t independent. Strategi yang digunakan Pemerintah Karesidenan Surakarta adalah justification, excuse, victimage, compensation, reminder, scapegoat, apology. Strategi yang dominan digunakan yaitu justification (pembenaran/bertanggung jawab).

Abstract

The release of the Minister of Education and Culture Regulation on the Prevention and Handling of Sexual Violence (Permendikbudristek PPKS) No. 30 of 2021 is expected by the government to overcome the problem of sexual violence that occurs on campus. But apparently, this regulation has caused cons from various parties who disagree with the phrase "without the victim's consent" which is contained in several articles. Public opinion ensued on social media and news related to the pros and cons appeared in various online media. Media coverage of crisis issues can exacerbate the crisis that occurs in an organization. The crisis research related to Permendikbudristek PPKS was chosen to see how media framed the crisis. A total of 35 articles from Republika.co.id and Kompas.com were analyzed. Using quantitative content analysis, this study was carried out by exploring 5 media frames that usually appear in news related to crisis: attribution of responsibility, conflict, economic consequences, morality, and human interest. The result is conflict are the most dominant frames followed by responsibility frames. Meanwhile, morality and human interest are the least used frames. Crisis frames are important for PR practitioners to understand media coverage during a crisis and provide the right response to reduce its impact.

Abstract

Instagram changed the way weddings are displayed in the media. Wedding professionals use Instagram as a tool to spread wedding fashion and culture. Bridestory has repeatedly become the official media at celebrity weddings who first shared wedding photos and videos exclusively through their Instagram accounts. This study wanted to find out how wedding culture is represented by @thebridestory. Some celebrity wedding photos will be dissected with Roland Barthes semiotics based on the Instagram aspect and the ritual aspect uploaded on @thebridestory Instagram account in 2016-2018. This study found 3 things related to representation of wedding culture in @thebridestory account. First, 1) western style as a symbol of modernity, 2) hybrid wedding as a combination of traditional culture and western style is also interpreted as a modern wedding. Finally, 3) the image of popular culture is then interpreted as an ideal image from the holding of a wedding to the meaning of the ideal bride.

Abstract

Studying crisis news frames is important for PR practitioners to understand media coverage during a crisis and provide appropriate responses to mitigate its impact.

Abstract

[Bahasa]: Era digital yang berkembang pesat berpengaruh terhadap penyelenggaraan pembelajaran di semua level pendidikan. Guru yang memiliki peran krusial dalam pembelajaran harus memiliki kemampuan yang adaptif terhadap perubahan tersebut. Namun, banyak guru khsusunya pada level Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini (PAUD) menghadapi tantangan dalam mengintegrasikan teknologi ke dalam proses pembelajaran dan pengajaran. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan literasi digital pada guru anak usia dini. Metode pelaksanaan pengabdian yaitu dengan melakukan workshop yang berisi deskripsi pemahaman literasi digital dan praktik membuat materi ajar melalui software digital. Eskperimen yang melibatkan 49 partisipan dari 20 PAUD dilakukan untuk mengukur efektivitas implementasi workshop literasi digital. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui penyebaran angket pretest dan posttest, observasi dan wawancara. Hasil program pengabdian ini menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan literasi digital memberikan peningkatan literasi digital pada guru. Temuan pengabdian ini menunjukkan bahwa efikasi diri dan faktor sosial memberikan kontribusi terhadap keberhasilan training dalam program. Pelaksanaan training digital literasi dengan mempertimbangkan elemen-elemen teori kognitif sosial menjadi alternatif untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru PAUD dalam praktik mengajar. Kata Kunci: guru PAUD, literasi digital, pelatihan, kompetensi [English]: The rapid development of the digital era affects teaching and learning practices at all levels of education. Teachers who play a crucial role in learning must have adaptive skills to respond to these changes. However, integrating technology into the learning and teaching process remains challenging for teachers of Early Childhood Education (ECED). This community service program aims to improve digital literacy in early childhood teachers. The workshop method was used in this program through the introduction of digital literacy understanding and practice of creating teaching materials through digital software. An experiment involving 49 participants from 20 PAUD was conducted to measure the effectiveness of the digital literacy workshop implementation. Data were collected through pretest and posttest questionnaires, observations, and interviews. The results show that the training in this community service program can improve digital literacy in teachers. The findings show that self-efficacy and social factors contribute to the effectiveness of the training program. Digital literacy training for early childhood education teachers involving elements of social cognitive theory is an alternative way to improve their teaching and learning practice competence. Abstract

ABSTRACT As one of the most popular social media in Indonesia, Instagram is widely used by political actors to present themselves to attract the potential voters. Ganjar Pranowo, who’s often referred as a populist politician, has been widely discussed as a candidate for the 2024 presidential election. This research wants to analyze the self-presentation form of Ganjar Pranowo's populism communication on Instagram. A qualitative content analysis methods are used to analyze the visual content in the form of videos from Ganjar Pranowo's Instagram posts. With purposive sampling, 5 samples were obtained which would be analyzed. The results of the analysis show that on Instagram, Ganjar Pranowo plays himself as a political actor who’s close to the citizens, friendly, firm, empathetic, and loves his family. Based on the self-presentation shown, it’s known that Ganjar Pranowo displayed two of the three most common characteristics of populism according to Jager and Walgrave through his Instagram account during the research period, which is referring to the people and exclusion of outside groups. These findings indicate that there is a tendency for political bias and identity politics in Ganjar Pranowo's self-presentation of populism on Instagram that shown through the behavior of referring to certain groups of people. Populism behavior shown by politicians on social media is known to be able to influence the climate of Indonesian political communication in the modern era.ABSTRAK Sebagai salah satu media sosial paling populer di Indonesia, Instagram banyak dimanfaatkan para aktor politik untuk mempresentasikan diri mereka sebagai cara menarik perhatian calon pemilih. Ganjar Pranowo yang sering disebut sebagai politisi populis yang dekat dengan rakyat saat ini banyak dikaitkan dengan kabar pencalonannya di Pemilihan Presiden 2024 mendatang. Penelitian ini ingin menganalisis bentuk presentasi diri komunikasi populisme Ganjar Pranowo di Instagram. Metode analisis isi kualitatif digunakan untuk menganalisis konten visual berupa video dari postingan Instagram Ganjar Pranowo. Dengan purposive sampling, didapat 5 sampel yang akan dianalisis. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa di Instagram, Ganjar Pranowo memerankan dirinya sebagai aktor politik yang merakyat, supel, tegas, empatis, dan sayang keluarga. Berdasarkan presentasi diri yang ditunjukkan, didapatkan bahwa Ganjar Pranowo menampilkan dua dari tiga ciri populisme paling umum menurut Jager dan Walgrave melalui akun Instagramnya selama kurun waktu penelitian, yaitu merujuk kepada rakyat dan pengecualian terhadap kelompok luar. Temuan ini mengindikasikan adanya kecenderungan bias politik dan politik identitas pada presentasi diri populisme Ganjar Pranowo di Instagram yang ditunjukkan melalui perilaku perujukan kepada kelompok masyarakat tertentu. Perilaku populisme yang ditunjukkan politisi di media sosial diketahui mampu mempengaruhi iklim komunikasi politik Indonesia di era modern.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze how Tempo.co and Kompas.com framed news coverage of the “Aksi Kawal Putusan MK” (The Movement to Protect the Constitutional Court Ruling), which represents a political crisis in Indonesia. The protest emerged as a public response to the revision of the Constitutional Court’s decision regarding the age requirement for regional election candidates. In this context, the media play a crucial role in shaping public perception through the construction of narratives in their reporting. This study employs a descriptive quantitative content analysis method using Semetko and Valkenburg’s framing model, which consists of five categories: conflict, attribution of responsibility, economic consequences, human interest, and morality. A total of 44 news articles from Tempo.co and Kompas.com published between August 20–31, 2024, were selected using purposive sampling. The findings reveal that the conflict frame is the most dominant (38.6%), followed by attribution of responsibility (25%), human interest (20.5%), and morality (15.9%). No economic consequence frame was identified. These findings indicate that both media outlets emphasize political tensions and responsible actors, underscoring the media's role in shaping public opinion within a democratic context. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis bagaimana media Tempo.co dan Kompas.com membingkai pemberitaan mengenai Aksi Kawal Putusan MK yang mencerminkan bentuk krisis politik di Indonesia. Aksi ini muncul sebagai respons publik terhadap revisi keputusan Mahkamah Konstitusi terkait batas usia calon kepala daerah. Dalam konteks ini, media memainkan peran penting dalam membentuk persepsi publik melalui konstruksi narasi yang disampaikan dalam pemberitaan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis isi kuantitatif deskriptif dengan model framing dari Semetko dan Valkenburg, yang mengkategorikan bingkai ke dalam lima jenis: konflik, atribusi tanggung jawab, konsekuensi ekonomi, human interest, dan moralitas. Sebanyak 44 berita dari Kompas.com dan Tempo.co dalam kurun waktu 20–31 Agustus 2024 dianalisis menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bingkai konflik menjadi yang paling dominan (38,6%), diikuti oleh atribusi tanggung jawab (25%), human interest (20,5%), dan moralitas (15,9%). Tidak ditemukan penggunaan bingkai konsekuensi ekonomi. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa kedua media menyoroti ketegangan politik dan aktor kunci, menegaskan peran media dalam membentuk opini publik.

Abstract

Social responsibility has become something that companies must implement. Companies are legally required to fulfill their social responsibility obligations toward the environment and society. PT Telkom Indonesia Witel Solo carries out corporate social responsibility activities, one of which is planting mangrove trees to prevent coastal erosion and support the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In addition to complying with existing regulations, the company receives feedback from its stakeholders in the form of image or reputation through a strategy that emerges from CSR activities. Stakeholder involvement in the implementation of CSR is something that the company needs to pay attention to. This research aims to identify the corporate social responsibility (CSR) strategy employed by PT Telkom Indonesia Witel Solo to enhance its image. This study uses qualitative methods with data analysis according to Miles and Huberman to obtain results that aligned with the research objectives. The findings show that the company implements active participation strategies with its stakeholders, adheres to business ethics, establishes communication and maintains sustainable relationships, and creates value through social and environmental programs in the implementation of profit, people, and planet.
