Abstract

Kelurahan Petuk Ketimpun merupakan daerah yang masyarakat nya bermata pencaharian sebagian besar dari nelayan tangkap, oleh karena itu masyarakat kelurahan petuk katimpun berada di area strategis sebagai nelayan. Kelurahan petuk di kelilingi oleh sungai dan rawa yang juga berpotensi memiliki mata pencaharian lain yaitu dari tanaman purun. Purun (Lepironia articulata) adalah salah satu tanaman yang tumbuh liar di dekat air atau rawa gambut. Tanaman ini sejenis dengan daun pandan yang hidup di sekitar rawa dan bersifat mudah terbakar jika dalam kondisi kering. Tumbuhan ini banyak terdapat di pinggiran jalan kelurahan petuk katimpun. Masyarakat petuk katimpun mengolah tumbuhan purun menjadi beberapa kerajinan yang bernilai ekonomis seperti tas, tikar, sedotan dan berbagai jenis anyaman lainnya. Proses pembuatan aneka kerajinan ini dilakukan tanpa merusak alam dan tetap menjaga kelestarian lingkungan. Tumbuhan purun banyak dikenal masyarakat sebagai tumbuhan yang memiliki banyak manfaat di bidang kerajinan sehingga mampu memberikan dampak sosial, ekonomi dan budaya pada masyarakat setempat. Dilakukannya pengabdian ke masyarakat kelurahan petuk katimpun yaitu dengan tujuan mengoptimalkan pemanfaatan sumber daya alam yang tersedia, serta mampu meningkatkan penghasilan masyarakat.

Abstract

Kalampangan Village is known as a transmigration area that has advanced in the agricultural sector, especially vegetable crops and is the largest supplier of vegetables in Palangka Raya City. One effort to increase peat soil fertility is through fertilization. So far, fertilization has mostly used inorganic fertilizers. Excessive inorganic fertilizer can disrupt soil health, besides being expensive and sometimes rare on the market. Farmers now cannot clear land by burning it, so that the resulting weeds pile up around the land. At harvest time, a lot of harvest waste is not utilized optimally. So far, it has only been buried in the ground fresh as green manure and animal feed.  One effort to overcome the problem of accumulated weeds and crop residue is to make organic fertilizer (compost). Compost contains nutrients that plants need and is able to repair soil structure damaged by too much inorganic fertilizer. The objectives of the activity are: 1) Utilizing agricultural waste as organic fertilizer; 2). Providing skills in making quality organic fertilizer. The method used is counseling and training in making organic fertilizer.   The extension and training activities were attended by 10 members of the farmer group. Training on making compost was carried out using broadleaf weeds and sweet corn harvest waste. Composting is carried out for 3 weeks to 1 month. The characteristics of compost that is ready to use are blackish brown color, crumb structure, coolness and compost aroma. The compost produced is of sufficient quality with the nutrient content N, P and K meeting organic fertilizer quality standards. Farmers are very enthusiastic about making compost and hope that later it can be applied in growing vegetables in Kalampangan Village.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian adalah: 1). Mengetahui respon kobis bunga terhadap pemberian pupuk organik cair di tanah gambut; 2). Mengetahui pupuk organik dan dosis pupuk organik terbaik pada pertumbuhan dan hasil kobis bunga. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) terdiri dari 7 taraf perlakuan yaitu: B0 = Kontro (tanpa POC), B1 = Pupuk POC Nasa konsentrasi 2 ml/L air, B2 = Pupuk POC Nasa konsentrasi 3 ml/L air, B3 = Pupuk POC Nasa konsentrasi 4 ml/ L air, B4 = Pupuk POC Agrobost konsentrasi 2 ml/ L air, B5 = Pupuk POC Agrobost konsentrasi 3 ml/L air, B6 = Pupuk POC Agrobost konsentrasi 4 ml/ L air, ulangan sebanyak 3 kali sehingga terdapat 21 satuan percobaan. Data hasil pengamatan dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisios ragam (Uji F) taraf 5% dan 1%, apabila berpengaruh nyata dan sangat nyata dilanjutkan dengan uji BNJ taraf 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahawa pupuk organik hanya berpengaruh nyata pada variable jumlah daun tanaman kobis bunga. Pemberian pupuk organik air Agrobost dengan konsentrasi 4 ml/ L air memberikan jumlah daun terbanyak, dengan jumlah daun 13,50 helai daun. Namun ada kecenderungan bahwa pupuk organik cair Nasa dan Agrobost konsentrasi 4 ml/L air mampu meningkatkan tinggi tanaman (30,10 cm), berat basah tanaman (213,00 gr), keliling batang (5,67 cm), berat bunga (96,33 gr) dan keliling bunga (30,04 cm) dari tanaman kobis bunga.

Abstract

Petuk Katimpun Village, located in Palangka Raya City, has natural fisheries resources that have yet to be utilized optimally. This is due to the need for more public knowledge about managing fisheries resources, especially the diversification of fish processing which can be used as a livelihood for the community. Therefore, empowerment efforts are needed through outreach, training, and monitoring, focusing on processing fishery products into food products, such as fish jerky. This community service activity aims to provide understanding and skills to the people of Petuk Katimpun Village in managing fisheries resources, focusing on making fish jerky as an economical product. Methodology for community empowerment services carried out in Petuk Katimpun Village, Jekan Raya District, Palangka Raya City, Central Kalimantan Province. The community empowerment service will be carried out from July to November 2023. The activity implementation is socialization, training, and monitoring in making food products in the form of fish jerky. Participants in the activity are housewives and fishermen. The duration of this community empowerment service activity lasts for five months. Based on the results of the training evaluation, it is known that the community's knowledge about fish jerky processing before and after the training has dramatically increased by 66.12%.

Abstract

The problem-solving framework in this activity is to conduct training and guidance for students to foster an entrepreneurial culture. The selection of activities in the form of training is expected to develop entrepreneurial skills with the hope that when they have completed their studies they can develop and run their respective businesses. The purpose of this program is the implementation of training and mentoring for students to foster a student entrepreneurial culture within the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Palangka Raya, including: fostering and increasing the ability and interest of students to pursue entrepreneurship, increasing the creativity of student thinking in developing entrepreneurial skills, opening insights into the development of the entrepreneurial world in Central Kalimantan. The product manufacturing training that will be provided is the manufacture of face masks by utilizing natural ingredients for skin care using rice, bengkuang, and kelakai leaves. This activity is intended to make students more creative, and innovative in exploring natural resources in their environment to increase work productivity to later build a family economy independently. The results of the activity showed that the participants actively participated and understood the practices given. This activity can increase the knowledge and skills of partners and foster an entrepreneurial spirit in partners.

Abstract

Tanaman kobis bunga (Brassica oleraceae L) merupakan salah satu jenis tanaman hortikultura yang memiliki nilai ekonomis yang tinggi dan layak untuk dikembangkan. Pengembangan kobis bunga dapat dilakukan pada tanah gambut pedalaman yang belum termanfaatkan secara optimal. Namun perlu adanya perbaikan kesuburan tanah melalui pemberian pupuk organik dan anorganik. Penelitian dilaksanakan bulan Oktober sampai Desember 2024 di Kelurahan Kalampangan, Kecamatan Sabangau, Kota Palangka Raya. Tujuan penelitian adalah: 1). Mengetahui pengaruh pupuk organik dan anorganik pada berbagai proporsi terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman kobis bunga di lahan gambu; 2). Mengetahui proporsi terbaik pupuk organik dan anorganik pada pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman kobis bunga di lahan gambut. Penelitian menggunakan Ranacangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) non faktorial yang terdiri atas factor tunggal dengan 9 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan. Perlakuan tersebut adalah proporsi pemberian pupuk organic dan anorganik yaitu: K1= Pupuk Anorganik 250 kg Urea/ha, 250 kg/ha SP-36, 250 kg/ha KCl; K2= 5 ton/ha Kompos Gulma + Pengurangan 5% Pupuk Anorganik; K3= 5 ton/ha Kompos Gulma + Pengurangan 10% Pupuk Anorganik; K4= 5 ton/ha Kompos Gulma + Pengurangan 15% Pupuk Anorganik; K5= 5 ton/ha Kompos Gulma + Pengurangan 20% Pupuk Anorganik; K6= 10 ton/ha Kompos Gulma + Pengurangan 5% Pupuk Anorganik; K7= 10 ton/ha Kompos Gulma + Pengurangan 10% Pupuk Anorganik; K8= 10 ton/ha Kompos Gulma + Pengurangan 15% Pupuk Anorganik; K9= 10 ton/ha Kompos Gulma + Pengurangan 20% Pupuk Anorganik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh nyata proporsi pupuk organik dan anorganik terhadap hasil tanaman kubis bunga di lahan gambut pada variabel keliling bunga. Perlakuan K7 (10 ton/ha Kompos Gulma + Pengurangan 10% Pupuk Anorganik) memberikan keliling bunga paling baik. Proporsi pupuk organik dan anorganik tidak memberikan pengaruh nyata pada variable umur berbunga, umur panen dan bobot bunga pada tanaman kobis bunga di lahan gambut.
