Abstract

Government science is basically the study of political science, where in how many aspects of government science such as methods and methodology are not much different from political science. This paper tries to explain and describe the relationship between government science and political science. So far, the science of government has only studied bureaucracy, public administration, management and public policy. By only understanding it as a science of administration, government science becomes only like office science. This is due to the colonial heritage and the proliferation of neoliberalism. For this reason, this paper will try to bring the spirit of political science into government science which will explain that in reality, aspects of government are strongly influenced by political aspects. And provide a new alternative to the existence of governmental science based on glorifying the people.

Abstract

In the current era of globalization, business competition is getting tougher and as a market leader, companies must always maintain their performance and improve their performance, so that customer satisfaction is always maintained. Especially the performance of mechanical services to customers whose performance must be maintained. Main problem faced by PT United Tractors heavy equipment service division is a decrease in customer satisfaction. The decrease in satisfaction is thought to be caused by a decrease in mechanics technical competence, the lack of mechanical ability to maintain good relationships (relational capability) with customers and the ability to identify problems (cognitive abilities) faced by customers. The purpose of this research is to analyze the impact of technical competency, relational capability and cognitive ability toward customer satisfaction and to analyse the impact of customer satisfaction toward customer loyalty. As a quantitative research, the study distributed questionnaires to 200 respondents who are customers who used mechanics services, so that it can be seen what variables have a significant impact on customer satisfaction. The findings of this study are that cognitive ability and technical competency have a significant impact on customer satisfaction, while relational capability has no significant impact on customer satisfaction. The influence of customer satisfaction on customer loyalty has a significant impact.

Abstract

 Background: Femur fracture is one of the most common orthopedic cases which may occur in all age groups. Its incidence can be characterized by several aspects, such as patient’s age, sex, causes, location and many more. The aim of this study was to understand the characteristics of femur fracture patients in Dr. Hasan Sadikin General Hospital Bandung Indonesia during the period of January to December 2011.Methods: A descriptive study was conducted using 89 medical records of femur fracture patients in the Department of Orthopedic and Traumatology Dr. Hasan Sadikin General Hospital Bandung from January to December 2011. The inclusion criteria of the study were medical records containing patient aged 20-59 years data who were diagnosed with femur fracture, sex, cause of fracture, type of fracture, location of fracture, type of treatments given, and the length of hospitalization. Data were analyzed using frequency distribution.Results: Of 60 cases of motor vehicle accidents, there were more male (77.53%) than female who suffered from fracture. Closed fracture was more common with 52 cases of closed fracture compared to 29 cases of proximal fracture. Of 35 patients accepted treatment, 30 patients were treated by surgery  and hospitalized for 21–30 days.Conclusion: Young male adults are the most common group suffering from femur fracture. A continuous epidemiology study must be carried out on annual basis so that a better view of the incidence and the location of femur fracture as well as the type of treatment given to patients can be observed.Keywords: Adults, characteristics, femur fracture  DOI: 10.15850/amj.v2n1.428

Abstract

Peran organisasi masyarakat (Ormas) Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) dengan Muhammadiyah dalam pengisian jabatan Badan Pengawas Pemilu (Bawaslu) merupakan hal yang menarik di kaji, alasannya banyak kader kedua ormas ini yang berkiprah dalam lembaga pengawas pemilu, khususnya di Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta (DIY). Untuk menganalisa peran kedua ormas dalam pengisian jabatan di Bawaslu DIY, maka penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan data primer bersumber dari observasi dan wawancara dengan sejumlah informan, baik itu dari perwakilan kedua Ormas (NU dan Muhammadiyah) serta dari Bawaslu DIY, sedangkan data sekunder diperoleh dari berbagai media maupun hasil penelitian pihak lain yang dapat menunjang analisa. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah peran NU dan Muhammadiyah dalam pengisian jabatan komisioner di Bawaslu D.I. Yogyakarta dianggap sangat strategis sebab secara jejaring mampu mendorong para anggotanya untuk menempati posisi anggota Bawaslu DIY. Begitu kuatnya peran kedua Ormas dalam pengisian jabatan di Bawaslu DIY tidak dapat dilepaskan dari eksistensi dan dominasi NU serta Muhammadiyah yang sudah mengakar dalam kehidupan masyarakat dan organ pemerintah.

Abstract

This study will discuss and explore the transformation of social capital into economiccapital formed in Kemiri Village, Kapanewon Tanjungsari, Gunungkidul Regency.Rasulan is a form of social capital of the Kemiri community which has been formedsince the ancestors and its existence and sustainability are always maintained. Theform of social capital, which began with the Rasulan event, is the main capital of theKemiri Village community in maintaining the habit of mutual cooperation. Colemanembeds his concept of social capital in the context of rational choice theory. Socialinterdependence arises between actors, as they are attracted to events and resourcescontrolled by other actors to maximize their utility by rationally choosing the bestsolution for them. Furthermore, the maximum utility found in the Kemiri community,one of which is the management of Sogo Lake for Jathilan arts and building rentalsin each hamlet. With the maximum utility as mentioned earlier, it can be understoodthat there was a transformation that was originally present on the organization of theRasulan event as a social model into economic capital that could be utilized by thepeople of Kemiri Village.

Abstract

Democracy making through village deliberation is a deliberative theory of democracy to control and aggregation. Explorative Qualitative Research is used to explore phenomena and explore concepts related to making democracy in Bendungan Village. The data is analyzed by phenomena that occur in people's lives. Data collection was done by observation, documentation and interviews. The results of the study show that democracy making in Bendungan Village is carried out through village deliberations which are held twice a year which is the result of democracy making hamlet deliberations and non-formal deliberations such as Friday night tahlilan events, recitation and patrols. In these non-formal deliberations, political spaces are opened to discuss various kinds of community interests in order to become a means of control and aggregation. With strong deliberation at Friday night such as tahlilan events, women's recitations, night patrols, community service, and posyandu (Integrated Healthcare Center) which are carried out routinely, in addition to controlling power and aggregation, genuine people's aspirations can emerge that are autonomous and not based on mobilization based on community modalities

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perbedaan pengaruh latihan Drop Push Ups dan Push Up With Clap terhadap power otot lengan serta efektivitas kedua latihan tersebut dalam meningkatkan power otot lengan pada mahasiswa putra Prodi Penjaskesrek STKIP Modern Ngawi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan rancangan Pretest-Posttest Design. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh mahasiswa laki-laki Program Studi Penjaskesrek STKIP Modern Ngawi yang berjumlah 235 mahasiswa. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan random sampling sehingga diperoleh sampel sebanyak 40 mahasiswa. Analisis data menggunakan uji perbedaan t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan pengaruh antara latihan Drop Push Up dan Push Up With Clap terhadap power otot lengan pada mahasiswa putra STKIP Modern Ngawi, di mana latihan Push Up With Clap memiliki pengaruh yang lebih baik dibandingkan dengan latihan Drop Push Up dalam meningkatkan power otot lengan pada mahasiswa putra STKIP Modern Ngawi.

Abstract

This community service activity was conducted in RT 004, Tebet Timur Dalam, with the aim of introducing and promoting Microsoft Project as a tool to enhance project management skills. Microsoft Project is software that facilitates efficient project planning, management, and evaluation. The implementation methods included material delivery, discussions, and practical simulations using simple case studies relevant to the participants' needs. The results of this activity demonstrated that participants gained a basic understanding of project management concepts and fundamental skills in using Microsoft Project. This training is expected to enhance the community's ability to design and manage projects, whether for personal or communal purposes, thereby supporting more structured and effective activity management.

Abstract

The implementation of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems has become a key strategy for companies to enhance operational efficiency and cross-departmental data integration. This study aims to analyze the implementation of Compiere ERP in medium to large enterprises, which have higher business process complexity and a greater need for integrated data management. The research methodology includes a case study on a company that has adopted Compiere ERP, covering stages of installation, module customization, and evaluation of its impact on business process effectiveness. The findings indicate that Compiere ERP improves data integration, simplifies inventory management, and accelerates information access across departments. However, some challenges emerged during the customization phase to meet specific business needs and integrate with pre-existing systems. This study provides insights into the benefits and obstacles of implementing Compiere ERP and offers recommendations for effective implementation strategies in medium to large companies. These findings are expected to serve as a reference for other companies considering open-source ERP solutions to support sustainable business growth.

Abstract

This study examines the importance of strengthening institutional capacity at the sub-district level to improve the quality of human resources (HR) among government officials in order to enhance public service delivery in Banyuasin Regency. As the frontline in the implementation of public services, sub-districts play a crucial role due to their direct interaction with the community. The main issue in this research is the low effectiveness of public services caused by limited institutional capacity and inadequate human resource competencies at the sub-district level. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach using a case study method focused on Rambutan Sub-district. The theoretical framework includes institutional capacity theory, New Public Management (NPM), and New Public Service (NPS). The research findings indicate that developing institutional capacity through human resource training and the application of modern management practices has a positive impact on service quality. Changes in public service delivery largely depend on the sub-district’s ability to maximize the empowerment of its personnel.
