Abstract

The contribution of hypertension to diabetes, as the leading cause of death, is very important. Thus, aggressivemanagement in diabetes mellitus patients comorbid with hypertension is thouroghly required. The purpose of thedescriptive study is to describe the treatment of cormobide type 2 diabetes mellitus and hypertension. Data wereretrieved from the medical records of patients’ X hospital in Pekanbaru through period January - December 2014.There were 285 subjects. The average of age and random blood glucose level are 57.73 (± 9.95) and 260.67 (±126.93) mg/dL, consecutively. The systolic blood pressure of e”160 mmHg (38.9%) and diastolic blood pressure of80-89 mmHg(40,7%) are moslty found in this study. Oral Anti-Diabetic Drugs (ADD) are administered to 83.15% ofthe subjects, while 3.5% of the subjects are given insulin. The most frequent oral ADD administerd is the combinatonof two drugs (49.47%), of Metformin group (90.3%) with daily dose 1000-1500 mg (74.26%). The most commonAnti Hypertension Drugs used is angiotensin receptor blocker 75.8 % (candesartan 66.24 % & valsartan 9.55 %).The conclusion is metformin and candesartan were the most common drugs used in the treatment of diabetes mellituscomorbid with hypertension.

Provinsi Riau .memiliki keunggulan komparatif karena letaknya yang strategis. Pertama, Riau dekatdengan negara-negara ASEAN, terutama Singapore, Malaysia dan Thailand. Kedua, Riau terletak dirute perdagangan dan pelayaran internasional di Asia-Pacifik. Ketiga, lokasi Riau dekat denganSingapore yang merupakan salah satu pusat perdagangan dunia. Keempat, Riau terletak di tengah PulauSumatera, dilewati lintas Barat dan lintas Timur.

Abstract

Stainless steel 316L is a metal which used to bone plate, this metal has low biocompatibility in a human body. The stainless steel 316L need to be coated by HA for increased their biocompatibility. The purpose of this research is to learn the effect of applied voltage and deposition time, then characterize HA coated 316L stainless steel. Stainless steel 316L put into alcohol and water solution for 1 hour. The HA powder was deposited by electrophoretic deposition (EPD) using carbon as anode and stainless steel 316L as cathode. It was observed from SEM analysis that HA deposited on stainless steel increased with higher voltage, thickness of HA layer on stainless steel was 30 μm, 45 μm and 55 μm for deposition 17 minutes and applied voltage 40, 60 and 80 volt. Thickness of HA layer on substrate increased, as the time deposition increased with result 30 μm dan 55 μm at deposition 80 volt and deposition time 2 and 17 minutes. HA coatings at applied voltage 80 volt and deposition time 17 minutes was obtained suitable for bone plate.Keywords : Coating, Electrophoretic Deposition, Hydroxyapatite, Stainless Steel 316L

Abstract

Pengolahan dan pengarsipan nomor surat di Tata Usaha Fakultas Teknik Universitas Muhammadiyah Bengkulu masih menggunakan cara manual yaitu dengan mencatat (tulis tangan) pada buku dan melihat ulang urutan surat sebelumnya untuk memberi nomor pada surat baru. Dengan cara tersebut tentu tidak efisien karena memerlukan buku yang tebal terlebih lagi jika untuk mencatat dalam jangka waktu yang lama dan banyaknya jenis surat yang akan di arsipkan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu mengimplementasikan algoritma Sequential Searching untuk mempermudah pencarian nomor surat pada sistem arsip elektronik studi kasus tata usaha fakultas teknik Universitas Muhammadiyah Bengkulu. Metode pengembangan sistem yang dipakai dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian RAD atau Rapid Application Development karena, Rapid Application Development (RAD) adalah salah satu metode pengembangan suatu sistem informasi dengan waktu yang relatif singkat. Dari hasil analisa, perancangan, pengujian dan implementasi program yang telah dilakukan terhadap aplikasi Arsip Elektronik ini aplikasi dapat di jalankan dengan baik. Algoritma Sequential Searching dapat di implementasikan pada pencarian arsip berdasarkan nomor surat pada surat masuk dan surat keluar.

Abstract

This research entitled “Discovery Learning strategy on Grade Eleven Students’ Reading Comprehension in Report text at SMA Negeri 6 Karawang” principally aims to investigate whether or not DL strategy significantly affects on Students’Reading Comprehension. Research method used in this research was quasi experimental, quantitative and the design was randomized post-test only control group design.To collect data the writer used instruments in the form of objective, multiple choice 30 question items for sample class out of 60 questions items that have been tried out in IPS class on grade eleven at SMA Negeri 6 Karawang. The scores obtained from the try-out class were used to analyze the validity, reliability, discrimination power and difficulty index of each question items in the instruments. The sample of this research was grade eleven students in IPS class consisting of 60 students. The students is divided into two classes, 30 students in experimental class thought using DLstrategy and 30 in control class thought without DL strategy that are taken from the population using cluster random technique.The analysis using SPSS-based One Way Anova Formula produced significance (Sig.) value of 0.002, since the significance value was smaller than (<) Alpha 0.05, H0 is rejected and HAis accepted. It means that DL Strategy has significant effect on students’ reading comprehension.

Abstract

BrownTiger Shrimp (Penaeus esculentus) is a fishery export commodity that has high potential and categorize major commercial value.The waste in the form of shell produced from the shrimp industry has not been used properly and efficiently. In fact, most of it is waste that also pollutes the environment.Shrimp shell contained a lot of carotenoid pigments which are antioxidants, one of which is β-carotene.The aim of the study was to determine the amount of β-carotene and antioxidant activity in the chloroform extract of BrownTiger shrimp shell (Penaeus esculentus). The study used maceration method with chloroform to obtain β-carotene extract then the total content was measured using UV-Vis spectrophotometry.Testing the antioxidant activity of β-carotene and chloroform β-carotene extract of Brown Tiger shrimp shell (Penaeus esculentus) was carried out through free radical scavenging using the ABTS method (2,2-azinobis- [3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonicacid]).Chloroform β-carotene extract of Brown Tiger shrimp shell (Penaeus esculentus) contained β-carotene 618.2 µg / g of extract (0.06182% per gram of extract), and had weak antioxidant activity with IC50 value of 396.660 mg/L.β-carotene as a comparison compound has an IC50 value of 114.838 with moderate antioxidant activity category. The conclusion of this study was the chloroform β-carotene extract of Brown Tiger shrimp skin (Penaeus esculentus) contained β-carotene compounds and had weak antioxidant activity index.Keywords: β-carotene, shrimp shell, Penaeus esculentus, antioxidant, ABTSABSTRAKIsolasi β–karoten limbah kulit udang tiger coklat (Penaeus Esculentus) dan aktivitas antioksidannya dengan metode ABTS(2,2-Azinobis- [3-Ethylbenzothiazoline-6-Sulfonicacid])Udang Tigercoklat (Penaeus esculentus) merupakan komoditas ekspor perikanan yang memiliki potensi tinggi dan dikategorikan sebagai udang yang memiliki nilai komersial utama. Limbah berupa kulit yang dihasilkan dari industri udang belum dimanfaatkan dengan baik dan efisien, bahkan sebagian besar merupakan limbah yang mencemari lingkungan. Kulit udang banyak mengandung pigmen karotenoid yang merupakan antioksidan, salah satunya adalah β-karoten. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kadarβ-karoten dan aktivitas antioksidan ekstrak kloroform kulit udang Tigercoklat dengan menggunakan β-karoten sebagai pembanding. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode ekstraksi maserasi dengan kloroform untuk mendapatkan ekstrak kloroformβ-karoten dan mengukur kadarnya menggunakan spektrofotometri UV-Vis. Pengujian aktivitas antioksidan β-karoten dan ekstrak kloroformβ-karoten kulit udang Tigercoklat dilakukan melalui pemulungan radikal bebas menggunakan metode ABTS (2,2-azinobis-[3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonicacid]). Ekstrak kloroform β-karoten kulit udang Tigercoklat mengandung β-karoten sebanyak 618,2 µg / g ekstrak (0,06182% per gram ekstrak), dan memiliki aktivitas antioksidan lemah dengan nilai IC50 396,660 mg/L. β-karoten sebagai senyawa pembanding memiliki nilai IC50 sebesar 114,838 ppm dengan kategori sedang. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah ekstrak kloroform β-karotenkulit udang Tigercoklat mengandung senyawa β-karoten dan memiliki aktivitas antioksidan dalam kategori lemah.Kata kunci: β-karoten; kulit udang;, Penaeus esculentus; antioksidan; ABTS

Abstract

This research was conducted with the intent to produce an application that can manage all data of the scholarship recipient bidikmisi and can monitor student achievement of the recipient of bidikmisi so that at the time of annual monitoring from Kopertis Wilayah XI Kalimantan file owned by Islamic University of Kalimantan Muhammad Arsyad Al Banjari (UNISKA MAB) Banjarmasin Can be accessed easily and quickly. Bidikmisi scholarship has been held in UNISKA MAB since 2012 until now with the total number of recipients until the year 2015 as many as 133 students. During this time, the Bidikmisi scholarship student file received by the UNISKA MAB  is stored in the form of files per student per force stored in a special wardrobe receiver bidikmisi. For that we need a system that can accommodate all data of student recipients bidikmisi scholarship in the form of digital. Seen from the problems that exist in this research, then in this study built an application to manage bidikmisi scholarship data including academic data management student recipient bidikmisi scholarship for eight semesters in order to facilitate the search for data and monitoring student achievement of learning achievement bidikmisi and minimize the risk of data loss due to the piles of physical files that had been in the closet storage. Keywords: Application manage, Bidikmisi, Scholarship

Abstract

Kanker saat ini menjadi penyakit paling ditakuti oleh setiap orang. Ada banyak jenis kanker yang dapat menjadi pembunuh bagi manusia, salah satunya adalah kanker serviks. kanker serviks memiliki angka tertinggi di antara kanker lain yang paling mematikan di Indonesia. Kanker serviks sendiri terjadi karena adanya penularan virus HPV (human papilomavirus), namun pada dasarnya kanker serviks dapat dicegah sejak dini dengan memberikan pengetahuan kepada masyarakat khususnya remaja sehingga dapat menekan angka kejadian kanker serviks tersebut. Deteksi dini sangatlah diperlukan untuk mencegah terjadinya kanker serviks, ada beberapa cara yang dapat dilakukan untuk mendeteksi dini resiko kanker serviks pada remaja salah satunya dengan memanfaatkan media teknologi. Dalam penelitian ini metode yang digunakan untuk memprediksi resiko kanker serviks pada remaja dilakukan dengan mengkomparasi dua algoritma yaitu K-Nearest Neighbor dan Naïve Bayes yang mana masing-masing algoritma diuji untuk menghasilkan prediksi dengan tingkat akurasi yang maksimal. Berdasarkan hasil implementasi dan pengukuran kedua algoritma, diperoleh algoritma terbaik yaitu Naïve Bayes yang mampu memprediksi dengan tingkat akurasi 85.71 sedangkan K-Nearest Neighbor mampu memprediksi dengan tingkat akurasi sebesar 80.95%. tetapi akurasi ini masih belum bisa dinilai excellent (sangat baik) untuk itu sangat perlu dilakukan pengembangan analisis dan hasil lebih lanjut, khususnya memperdalam faktor resiko kanker serviks pada remaja sehingga didapatkan hasil akurasi yang lebih optimal.

Abstract

One concept in Educational Technology is the utilization and empowerment of learning resources in the learning process to increase the activity of learners. Computer as a source of learning can provide a very large contribution in improving the quality of education. Microsoft Excel 2013, is a means to convey information that is used by many. By using Microsoft Excel 2013 delivery of any information would be obtained with ease. The purpose of community service is to implement a technology-based education and information for teachers so as to improve human resources in particular lecturer as well as a teacher at SMAN 12 Banjarmasin. This training is expected to make it easy for teachers in teaching and learning activities, and can make learning and teaching more attractive; provide skills to teachers in the use of office applications in everyday life in order to facilitate the teaching and learning activities; and creating technology-literate faculty that later can print human resources better. To support the expertise of educators / teachers at SMAN 12 Banjarmasin in the field of information technology used approaches through training with the use of modules. In this training taught how to run an application Microsofs Excel 2013 as govern the writing of the formulas that are very useful to recapitulate the value of the student or the administration, which will be presented in an interesting so that participants will be easy to understand and can be applied to teaching and learning activities of daily.

Abstract

The progress of time is always evolving, education has undergone many changes. Among them, the learning method is not only using conventional means, but also by using a more modern way, for example media-based learning with multimedia. In addition to having various advantages it attracted many students, especially school students SMA Negeri 1 Sungai Tabuk. The purpose of this study was produced medium of learning about CorelDraw X4 which presents an interactive learning model with an attractive appearance and easy to learn, can be used in the classroom and can be studied independently at home. The benefits of this research is to give students a companion study in CorelDraw X4 study material, can also be used as a learning medium grade teacher who attracted the attention and interest of student learning when teaching material CorelDraw X4 in the classroom and to improve the quality of education.Results to be achieved in the manufacture of Media Interactive learning is the process of teaching and learning in the subjects of graphic design CorelDraw X4 material more effectively and efficiently.Keywords:  Coreldraw x4, Desain Grafis, SMA Negeri 1 Sungai Tabuk
