Abstract

The purpose of this study was to improve the quality of learning through the design of learning media for the Honda brake booster master cylinder working system combined with BMW disc brakes at the Dharma Patria Polytechnic Kebumen. The research method used is descriptive and documentation method. This research was conducted at the automotive lab of the Dharma Patria Polytechnic. The last test was carried out by students of the automotive mechanical engineering study program at the Dharma Patria Polytechnic. The results of the study show: 1) The learning media of the brake system works according to its function when the brake pedal is pressed 2) The assessment of the results of the questionnaire for learning media has a very effective comparison of 75%; quite effective 25%; less effective 60%; 3) the learning media for the braking system received a score from 2 media experts and was categorized as very suitable for use at the Dharma Patria Polytechnic.

Abstract

Testing the air induction system on the toyota avanza K3-VE car with the thinkdiag easydiag 4.0 launch scanner aims to test the air induction system with car media whether the sensors and air induction system contained in the media work well. The method used in this research is to use a descriptive research method. The data collection used in this study aims to strengthen the results of research based on a theory, ideas of experts and observations. Based on the results of the tests that have been carried out on the Toyota Avanza K3-VE car with the Thinkdiag Easydiag 4.0 launch scanner at stationary, low, medium and high rotations, namely: 1) speed of 750.25 Rpm, the IAT sensor reads 89.6 degree F, the MAP sensor is 4.2 Psi and the TPS sensor reads 0%, 2) speed 1507.75 Rpm IAT sensor reads 95 degree F, MAP sensor 3.62 Psi and TPS sensor reads 2.75%, 3) speed 2042.52 Rpm IAT sensor reads 96.8 degree F, MAP sensor 3.62 Psi and TPS sensor reads 4.31%, and a speed of 3102.75 Rpm the IAT sensor reads 114 degree F, the MAP sensor 3.77 Psi and the TPS sensor reads 6.67%, from the data obtained above it can be concluded that the sensor and air induction system on the Toyota Avanza K3-VE function properly and can be used for private vehicles. effective daily.

Abstract

This study presents the testing of a 4 stroke motorcycle engine on the effect of power, torque and exhaust emissions. The process of improving engine performance is to expand the piston stroke and increase the volume of air in the intake and fuel lines to the engine combustion chamber. The process is carried out by overstroke which increases the step volume by increasing the length of the piston so that the compression ratio increases, and oversizes the combustion chamber with a larger size to 200 cc. The test was carried out at the Automotive Mechanical Engineering Workshop at the Dharma Patria Polytechnic, Kebumen. The test was repeated 3 times to get maximum results. The research objective is to improve engine performance seen from data on power, torque and exhaust emissions obtained from testing using a gas analyzer. In this study, direct testing was carried out on a gas analyzer engine with three conditions, namely at rpm 1000, rpm 2000 and rpm 3000. The test results with a modified gas analyzer engine show 41 ppm HC and 4.3% CO levels, these numbers indicate better exhaust gas levels.

Abstract

Tujuan pengabdian kepada masyarakat adalah memberikan pelatijan engine management system unutk meningkatkan kompetensi guru di SMK Pasundan. Metode yang digunakan adalah service learning. Tahapan penelitian meliputi: perencanaan, pelaksanaan, refleksi, dan tindak lanjut. Lokasi kegiatan di SMK Pasundan Subang Jawa Barat. Alat dan bahan yang digunakan dalam pengabdian adalah trainer engine management system, scanner, dan multitester. Hasil pengabdian yaitu intruktur menyampaikan materi engine management system menggunakan metode ceramah. Instruktur memberikan praktek pemasangan dan perbaikan engine management system menggunakan metode demonstrasi.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi peserta didik dan guru SMK Muhammadiyah Berbah dalam memahami dan mengoperasikan komponen dasar sepeda motor listrik. Pengabdian dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan metode Service Learning, yang mengintegrasikan proses pembelajaran akademik dengan pelayanan langsung kepada mitra melalui tahapan identifikasi kebutuhan, perancangan pelatihan, pelaksanaan kegiatan, serta refleksi dan evaluasi hasil. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa peserta memperoleh peningkatan pemahaman mengenai struktur dan fungsi komponen kendaraan listrik, ditunjukkan melalui kemampuan mengenali perangkat utama dan melakukan prosedur perawatan sederhana. Pembahasan kegiatan menegaskan bahwa pendekatan praktik langsung dan kolaborasi antara tim pengabdian serta guru produktif berkontribusi signifikan terhadap efektivitas pelatihan. Secara keseluruhan, program ini berhasil menjawab kebutuhan mitra dan memberikan dasar kompetensi yang dapat mendukung pembelajaran vokasi berbasis teknologi modern.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the performance of the Honda Vario 125 engine that has undergone modifications to five main components, namely the piston, valve, camshaft, throttle body, and injector. Performance measurements were carried out to determine changes in torque and horsepower after the modifications were applied. The research method used was a quantitative descriptive approach with testing using a dyno test. The test procedure included engine preparation, tool calibration, and the implementation of a full dyno test from idle to maximum speed. The results showed that the engine was capable of producing a maximum torque of 31.36 N m at 3,507 rpm and a maximum power of 20.21 HP at 7,693 rpm. These values ​​indicate an increase in the engine's ability to produce power and thrust at certain speeds. Overall, this study provides an empirical description of the performance characteristics of the Honda Vario 125 engine after mechanical modifications
