Abstract

Current developments in science and technology not only have positive impacts but also negative impacts. This can be seen in the phenomenon of moral degradation that occurs in society involving school-age children, starting with the erosion of the sense of nationalism, the leadership of narcotics, alcoholism, and involvement in acts of violence. These various things pose a big threat to the future of the nation and the younger generation. In order to anticipate this, education has an important role because, through education the formation of national character with noble character can be realized. One method that can be used by teachers in the process of forming student character is implementing the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model in schools which contains values and character so this research is very important and urgent to be carried out immediately. Naposo Nauli Bulung local wisdom is local wisdom in the South Tapanuli area, North Sumatra which contains many good character values that are preserved by the people of South Tapanuli.This local wisdom is specifically for young people so they can work together to solve problems in society. For this reason, this research aims to analyze the influence of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model based on local wisdom on the formation of student character at SMKN 4 Padang Sidempuan City.

Abstract

Produk gula semut yang dihasilkan dari nira kelapa adalah salah satu komoditas unggulan di Desa Bulu Mario, Kecamatan Sipirok, Kabupaten Tapanuli Selatan. Gula semut tidak hanya dikenal dengan rasa manis alami dan khasiat kesehatan yang tinggi, tetapi juga memiliki potensi pasar yang besar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi pemasaran gula semut yang diterapkan oleh para pelaku usaha di Desa Bulu Mario, serta mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi efektivitas strategi pemasaran produk tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi pemasaran yang diterapkan masih terbatas pada pasar lokal, dengan tantangan utama pada aspek distribusi dan persaingan harga. Beberapa rekomendasi strategis diberikan untuk meningkatkan daya saing produk gula semut di pasar yang lebih luas. Kata kunci:    Analisis Studi Kasus, Strategi Pemasaran, Gula Semut, Desa Bulu Mario Abstract Palm sugar products produced from coconut sap are one of the leading commodities in Bulu Mario Village, Sipirok District, South Tapanuli Regency. Palm sugar is not only known for its natural sweetness and high health benefits, but also has great market potential. This study aims to analyze the marketing strategies of palm sugar applied by business actors in Bulu Mario Village, as well as to identify factors that influence the effectiveness of the product's marketing strategy. The results of the study indicate that the marketing strategies applied are still limited to the local market, with the main challenges in the aspects of distribution and price competition. Several strategic recommendations are provided to increase the competitiveness of palm sugar products in the wider market. Abstract

Pendahuluan; Masalah gizi sering mendapatkan perhatian di sebagian negara berkembang terutama stunting pada balita. Stunting adalah kondisi gagal tumbuh pada anak balita yang disebabkan karena kurangnya gizi yang bersifat kronis sehingga tinggi badan kurang pada usianya. Intervensi gizi merupakan salah satu bukti keberhasilan kegiatan yang dapat meningkatkan status gizi. Tujuan; Penelitian ini untuk mengukur pengaruh intervensi program family nutrition education (famon-ed) sebagai pola asuh anak dalam upaya pencegahan stunting. Metode; Pendekatan penelitian ini menggunakan quasi experiment, yaitu pre-test and post-test dengan control group design. Kolompok pada penelitian ini terdiri dari kelompok intervensi dan kelompok kontrol. Pada kelompok intervensi diberikan perlakukan intervensi family nutrition education (famon-ed) dengan media leaflet dan pada kelompok kontrol hanya diberikan leaflet saja. Masing-masing kelompok dilakukan pemantauan sebanyak 12 kali dengan frekuensi pemantauan 7 hari sekali selama 3 bulan sebelum dilakukan post-test. Data dianalisis berdasarkan kelompok menggunakan uji parametrik dependent t-test atau non parametrik wilcoxon. Hasil; Ada perbedaan pengetahuan, sikap, dan praktik gizi sebelum dan sesudah diberikan pendidikan gizi pada kelompok intervensi, sedangkan pada kelompok kontrol juga ada perbedaan pengetahuan sebelum dan sesudah diberikan pendidikan gizi, tetapi tidak ada perbedaan pada sikap dan praktik gizi sebelum dan sesudah diberikan pendidikan gizi. Kesimpulan; Program family nutrition education (famon-ed) menggunakan media leaflet berpengaruh terhadap pola asuh anak. Sehingga program ini dapat menjadi salah satu upaya pencegahan stunting dalam pemberian makan.

Abstract

Obesitas merupakan suatu permasalahan kesehatan yang seringkali ditemukan dalam lingkup bermasyarakat. Obesitas adalah suatu kondisi dimana terdapat tumpukan lemak berlebihan pada tubuh maka bisa menimbulkan masalah kesehatan pada seseorang. Obesitas pada anak merupakan masalah global pada negaranegara berkembang dan menyebabkan masalah klinis dan meningkatkan angka kesakitan serta kematian dini. Penelitian bertujuan untuk menilai faktor lingkungan sekolah berperan dalam meningkatkan obesitas anak sekolah dasar di Kecamatan Panyabungan Kota Kabupaten Mandailing Natal. Jenis penelitian observasional dengan desain cross sectional study. Populasi adalah seluruh anak sekolah dasar kelas 4,5 dan 6 di SD N 076, SD 116 Percontohan, SD N 080 sebanyak 590 siswa. Sampel adalah seluruh anak sekolah dasar kelas 4,5 dan 6 di SD N 076, SD 116 Percontohan, SD N 080 sebanyak 238 siswa. Tehnik sampel yaitu cluster sampling. Instrument penelitian adalah alat-alat yang akan digunakan untuk pengumpulan data. Instrument penelitian ini dapat berupa kuesioner (daftar pertanyaan). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ketersediaan makanan di kantin sekolah (p= 0,036), promosi makanan dan minuman sehat (p=0,024), kebijakan sekolah (p=0,011), program aktivitas fisik (0,020) dan lingkungan fisik sekolah (p=0,005) berperan dalam meningkatkan obesitas anak sekolah dasar. Sedangkan variabel yang paling berperan dalam meningkatkan obesitas anak sekolah dasar adalah kebijakan sekolah (Exp.(B)= 2.288). Kesimpulan yang diperoleh bahwa makanan di kantin sekolah, promosi makanan dan minuman sehat, kebijakan sekolah, program aktivitas fisik dan lingkungan fisik sekolah berperan dalam meningkatkan obesitas anak sekolah dasar. Diharapkan agar sekolah bisa melakukan kerja sama dan komunikasi dengan pihak kesehatan setempat untuk memberikan informasi dan penyuluhan tentang kesehatan di setiap tahun ajaran baru.

Abstract

Stunting in toddlers is still a serious public health problem in Indonesia. Stunting can cause various adverse effects on children's health, such as growth and development problems, impaired cognitive function, and increases risk of disease in adulthood. This study was to analyze the role of health cadres in preventing stunting in toddlers. The study was cross-sectional with a sample of 200 cadres selected by exhaustive sampling. Data were collected by questionnaire and analyzed using the Chi-square test and logistic regression. The results showed that there was a significant relationship between employment status (p=0.001), attitude (p=0.001), perception (p=0.001), marital status (p=0.047), the competence of health cadres and the role of cadres in stunting prevention (p=0.001). The variable that contributes the most to the role of cadres in stunting prevention is the competence of cadres with Exp. (B)=4.914. The study shows that the role of health cadres in preventing stunting is important for improving the nutritional status of toddlers. Therefore, it is necessary to make efforts to improve the competence of health cadres, provide a positive perception of work, and improve the attitude of health cadres towards stunting prevention through training and skills provision for health cadres.

Abstract

Downstreaming of local food ingredients such as bananas is still not widely encouraged, even though bananas are a fruit rich in vitamins and minerals. Based on interviews with partners conducted by the STIKES Adila service team, it is known that the local potential of Tanjung Agung village has not been utilized optimally due to a lack of knowledge. Because of this, community service is carried out in making banana flour and downstreaming processed banana flour products. Implementing this community service is training in making banana flour and downstream products from banana flour. Based on the results of community service activities, the Tanjung Lom Independent Women group experienced increased knowledge and skills in making banana flour and processed products using banana flour. The output obtained from this community service activity is that the participants can have the skills to make banana flour. The follow-up to this activity is that the Women's group develops skills which are the basis for the formation of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises thereby improving the economy in Tanjung Agung Village.

Abstract

Purpose – This research aims to investigate the effect of implementing the Project Based Learning (PBL) learning model on the development of students' tolerant character in the educational environment.Method – The research method used was an experiment with a pre-test and post-test control group design. The sample consisted of two randomly selected class groups: an experimental group that received PBL and a control group that received conventional learning. Data was collected through questions, questionnaires, and documentation. Hypotheses were tested using t-tests.Findings – The research results indicate a significant positive influence of the Project Based Learning (PBL) model on developing students' tolerance. The control class's mean score is 73.40, while the experimental class's mean score is 80.70, suggesting that the control class has sufficient tolerance, whereas the experimental class shows good tolerance. The significance value obtained is 0.000, confirming the influence of the PBL model. The experimental group demonstrated a higher increase in tolerance compared to the control group. These findings suggest that PBL is an effective approach for fostering students' tolerant character in schools. Research Implications – These findings underscore the effectiveness of the Project-Based Learning (PBL) model in fostering students' tolerance. Implementing PBL can enhance character education in schools by promoting peace, respect for individual differences, and social awareness in the classroom. PBL also improves students' communication skills in project tasks, leading to better learning outcomes. It is recommended to provide guidance and training for teachers on PBL implementation, ensuring they have adequate support and resources for effective application.
