Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of affiliate marketing strategies carried out by influencers on Generation Z's purchasing decisions on the TikTok platform. Through a qualitative approach with a case study method, data was collected through in-depth interviews with 10 TikTok influencers, questionnaires of 50 Generation Z respondents, content observation, and analysis of related documents. The results show that trust in influencers, content quality, and special offers (such as discounts) are the dominant factors influencing Generation Z's purchasing decisions. Authentic, entertaining, and informational content—such as tutorials or product reviews—has been shown to be more effective in increasing audience engagement than conventional promotions. These findings are in line with previous research that emphasized the importance of transparency and social proof in digital marketing, but this study enriches the literature with a specific focus on the mechanism of affiliate marketing on TikTok. The practical implications of this study include recommendations for businesses to choose influencers that are relevant to the target market, increase content transparency, and take advantage of economic incentives. For academics, this research provides a new perspective on the dynamics of business communication on short content-based social media platforms. The study's main limitation lies in its limited scope on TikTok and Generation Z, so further research is needed to compare the effectiveness of similar strategies on other platforms or different generations.

Abstract

The Tegal batik industry holds significant potential in supporting the halal economy by integrating halal lifestyle principles into its value chain. This study aims to explore the experiences of Tegal batik SMEs in implementing the halal concept, analyze the application of halal principles in the batik industry's value chain, and identify challenges faced in adopting halal practices. Using a qualitative approach with phenomenology and data triangulation, this research examines the perspectives of batik SME actors through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis. The findings indicate that adopting halal principles in the Tegal batik industry enhances product competitiveness in both domestic and international markets. However, major challenges include a lack of understanding of halal standards, the cost of certification, and difficulties in accessing global halal markets. Therefore, support from the government and relevant institutions in the form of education, training, and certification subsidies is crucial to accelerating halal lifestyle adoption in the batik industry.

Abstract

This study examines the problems instructors, and students face while doing critical work in the TESOL sector. It is possible to quickly study several articles written a few years ago to see the usefulness of this topic by examining those written at the time. The abstract of an article by (Joseph Jeyaraj & Harland, 2016) Jeyaraj and Tony Harland from 2016 titled "Teaching with Critical Pedagogy in ELT: the Problems of Indoctrination and Risk" shows reports about higher education experiences in English that are familiar with as a relative environment of the pedagogues. The objective was to identify the main difficulties with critical pedagogy. Thirteen instructors from higher education institutions from across the globe were interviewed to understand this practice better, and all had a clear objective for social justice. The second piece is titled "Becoming a Critical Language Teacher" and was authored by (MORGAN, 2014)r, as the item's abstract assumed. The author seeks a specific lesson in critical abilities to address the difficulties of applying critical theories with Western roots in Chinese contexts. This article's last section looks at the effects of this activity on various perceptions of the crisis in language education. The third article, titled "Challenges in Critical Language Teaching," written by (Goiânia, Goiás, in 2012), is focused on the idea that language teachers must become fully knowledgeable of academic voice, subject choice and length, and the idea of language as a social practice in order to adopt critical education. The last one, "Being and Becoming TESOL Educators: Embodied Learning via Practicum," by Martin Andrew and Oksana Razoumova in 2017, explained that during placement exercises in terms of increasing learners' knowledge and skills, increasing their reliance and self-confidence, and helping them to grow as educators and individuals, their professional and social identities. The researchers employed several reliable, practical materials instead of inaccurate survey data. These findings highlight how important during the preparation phase; instructors should be prepared to deal with regular and unexpected discoveries. They should also execute and demonstrate practical work, promote the value of embodied learning, and adopt it as a practice.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the application of digital business models in the development of modern agriculture, with a focus on the farming community in Cirebon Regency. The background of the research is based on the fact that the agricultural sector in Indonesia still faces various challenges such as low productivity, limited market access, and dependence on traditional distribution chains. Digital transformation is believed to be able to be a strategic solution to increase efficiency, expand market access, and strengthen the competitiveness of smallholders. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with farmer group leaders and digital assistants, distribution of questionnaires to farmers who have participated in digitalization training, and field observations during one planting cycle. The results of the study show that the digital business model provides real benefits in the form of increased online market access, production recording efficiency, and local innovation opportunities. However, significant barriers remain, especially the limitations of digital literacy, internet infrastructure, and social resistance. Community-based adaptation strategies, such as the role of millennial farmers as digital agents and peer learning systems, have proven effective in supporting the transformation process. This study concludes that digital business models have great potential in strengthening the sustainability of modern agriculture, noting that there is more comprehensive ecosystem support.

Abstract

The development of artificial intelligence (AI) in the human resources (HR) sector, particularly in recruitment, is accelerating, including in Indonesia. The implementation of AI in the recruitment process offers great potential in terms of efficiency and reduction of human bias, but also raises ethical and strategic challenges. Therefore, it is important to understand how AI is applied in recruitment and its impact on the selection process and company decisions. This study aims to analyze the implementation of AI in the recruitment process in Indonesia, identify the ethical challenges that arise, and provide strategic recommendations for the effective and fair use of this technology. This study used a descriptive mixed-methods approach, which included in-depth interviews with HR managers and relevant staff as well as a survey of employees who have gone through AI-based recruitment. The data obtained was analyzed using thematic analysis techniques for qualitative data and descriptive statistics for quantitative data. The results show that although AI improves the efficiency of the recruitment process, many companies in Indonesia still face challenges related to the transparency of AI decisions and potential bias. Most companies use AI only in the early stages of selection, with the final decision still involving humans. The application of AI in recruitment in Indonesia can improve efficiency, but companies must pay more attention to ethics and transparency to ensure that this technology is used fairly. A hybrid approach that combines technology with human evaluation may be the best solution.

Abstract

Global interest rate policies, especially those implemented by the Fed and the European Central Bank (ECB), have a significant impact on exchange rate stability in developing countries, including Indonesia. Changes in interest rates in developed countries can trigger capital outflows that weaken the rupiah exchange rate, putting pressure on national economic stability. This study aims to analyze the impact of global interest rate policy on rupiah exchange rate stability in Indonesia and assess the role of domestic monetary policy implemented by Bank Indonesia in maintaining such stability. The method used is multiple linear regression to measure the influence of the Fed, ECB, and BI Rate interest rates on the Rupiah exchange rate, as well as the Granger Causality test to explore the causal relationship between these variables. The results show that the Fed and ECB interest rate hikes each cause significant depreciation of the Rupiah, while the increase in the BI Rate is able to stabilize the exchange rate in the short term. The Granger Causality test also shows a causal relationship between global interest rate hikes and the weakening of the rupiah. This study provides empirical evidence that global interest rate policy affects exchange rate stability in Indonesia, and domestic monetary policy plays an important role in mitigating these external impacts

Abstract

The adoption of digital tools in agriculture has brought significant changes, especially among traditional farmers who often rely on established practices. While digital innovations such as mobile applications, precision farming, and data analytics promise enhanced productivity and sustainability, their acceptance varies widely among farmers. This study aims to explore traditional farmers' perceptions of digital tools, focusing on factors influencing adoption, challenges in integration, and the potential benefits. A qualitative research approach was employed, using in-depth interviews and focus group discussions with a purposively selected sample of traditional farmers. Data were analyzed thematically to capture insights into attitudes, barriers, and the socio-cultural impact of digital tools on traditional practices. Findings reveal that farmers’ perceptions range from skepticism to conditional acceptance, often influenced by age, digital literacy, and cultural attachment. Key challenges include language barriers, technical complexity, and costs, with younger farmers demonstrating greater openness to adopting digital solutions. Additionally, results suggest that consistent training and support are critical for enhancing adoption rates, enabling farmers to balance traditional practices with modern tools. These insights provide practical implications for policymakers and technology developers, underscoring the need for localized training and adaptable digital solutions. This research emphasizes the importance of understanding and addressing traditional farmers' perspectives in promoting sustainable agricultural transformation.
