Abstract

The challenges of innovation and development in education require collaborative effort between the government, educational institutions, teachers, students, and the wider community to ensure education can meet the demands of the industrial era 4.0. This study aims to evaluate the Kampus Mengajar 5 student program and impact of literacy culture in partner school. This research uses the Goal Oriented Evaluation Model with mixed methods. Quantitative data collected through questionnaries involving tutor teachers, school principals, and field supervisors as well as documentation of the results of the Minimum Competency Assessment (AKM) class. Qualitative data were collected through interviews. This research was analyzed with descriptive statistics. The result showed 89,84% and Kampus Mengajar 5 student program was sustainable and had a positive impact on literacy culture in partner school. The Kampus Mengajar 5 student program can prove and has suitability and an important role to support the industrial era 4.0.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine (1) the differences in mathematical representation ability between students taught using the Problem Based Learning model assisted by Power Point and those in the control class, and (2) the effectiveness of the PBL model on students’ mathematical representation ability. A quasi-experimental method with a nonequivalent control group design was used, involving two fifth-grade classes in Semarang. The experimental group received PBL assisted by Power Point over four meetings, while the control group received direct instruction. Data were collected through pretests and posttests and, then analyzed using Shapiro-Wilk Test, Levene’s Test, and the Mann-Whitney U Test.  The results showed that students taught with the PBL model assisted by PowerPoint achieved higher mathematical representation abilities, particularly in verbal representation aspect. However, the effectiveness of the model was not statistically significant, as it was influenced by several factors such as limited instructional time, students’ readiness for group work, the complexity of higher-order thinking questions, and the lack of interactivity in the learning media. Despite these limitations, the model shows potential for further development, especially through improving media quality, more effective time management, and designing assessments that align with students' actual abilities.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the development of child-friendly learning media in the context of informal education at the elementary school level. The background of this study is based on the need for learning media that not only supports cognitive aspects but also considers the emotional and social comfort of children in a flexible and non-formal learning process. This study uses a Systematic Literature Review design by tracing various reputable international journal articles published in the last ten years. The analysis procedure was carried out through the stages of identification, selection, and synthesis of data to find patterns and trends in the development of child-friendly learning media in informal education environments. The results of the study show that effective learning media in this context generally have interactive characteristics, are adaptive to children's needs, and support game-based and experiential learning. This study emphasizes the importance of a humanistic and creative approach in designing learning media that is appropriate for the world of children outside the formal classroom. These findings are expected to form the basis for the development of more inclusive and sustainable learning media innovations

Abstract

This study aims to compare the effectiveness of project-based learning (PBL) and contextual learning methods in improving Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) of grade XI students in the subject of Indonesian History. The subjects of the study consisted of two classes: grade XI.10 taught using the PBL method, and grade XI.4 taught using the contextual method. The research design used was a quasi-experimental design with a pre-test-post-test control group design. Data were obtained through HOTS tests before and after treatment, then the scores of each class were calculated. The results of the analysis showed that the average gain score of grade XI.4 students (contextual method) was 11.2, higher than grade XI.10 (PBL method) of 7.1. Normality and homogeneity tests showed that the data were normally distributed and homogeneous. Hypothesis testing using the Independent Sample t-test produced a significance value of 0.017 (<0.05) which indicated a significant difference between the two groups. Thus, it can be concluded that the contextual learning method is more effective than the PBL method in improving students' HOTS in the subject of Indonesian History. The results of this study support the application of a contextual approach to improve student abilities.

Abstract

The difficulty of third-grade elementary school students in understanding the arithmetic operations of whole numbers remains a challenge in mathematics learning. Low learning outcomes and conventional learning approaches characterize this. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of using multiplication bag media and the jarimatic method in improving elementary school students' learning outcomes. This study was conducted in the odd semester of the 2025/2026 academic year with a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental design, with the type of design used being a nonequivalent control group. The research subjects consisted of two classes, namely the experimental class that received treatment in the form of the application of multiplication bag media and jarimatic method, and the control class that used picture media and memorization methods. Data were collected through tests, observations, and documentation. Data analysis used normality tests and homogeneity tests as prerequisite tests, as well as paired sample t-tests and independent sample t-tests for hypothesis testing. The results showed that the significance value in the independent sample t-test was <0.001, which indicated a difference in mathematics learning outcomes between the experimental and control classes. Furthermore, a paired sample t-test showed significant improvements in both classes, with the experimental class's average pretest score of 53.80 increasing to 60.95 on the posttest, while the control class also experienced an increase from a pretest average of 58.16 to 75.86 on the posttest. These findings demonstrate that the integration of multiplication bags and the Jarimatic method is effective

Abstract

PGSD (elementary school teacher Education)'s research skills affect the quality of the resulting thesis, which also affects the length of student thesis completion. The purpose of this research is to develop the book of research methodology in PGSD, with the need for examples of research topics in elementary school with a mind map to make the mindset more and more skilled and lead students in research. This development research uses the model ADDIE: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation. Analysis of the data conducted, i.e. analysis of teaching materials feasibility, analysis of student responses to teaching materials, analysis of increased learning outcomes. The results of a need analysis showed 94.56% of students needed a complete and systematic learning resource innovation and equipped with a mind map as a guideline of thought flow. The content of the teaching book has been designed according to curriculum needs and need analysis results. The Draft I tested validity by material experts got a score of 87.5% (very decent) and by linguist got a score of 96.8% (very decent). Advice from material experts and linguists was made a material to revise the teaching book into Draft II, which was then tested to be limited to seeing the aspect of readability. Limited test results show student responses to the study methodology teaching book in excellent category (85.71%). Student learning results have increased and the results of N-gain test show the increase of the low category (0.26). The conclusion is the book of Research Methodology assisted mind map is valid and well worth using.
