Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mengatasi permasalahan pernikahan usia dini yang signifikan di lingkungan SMPN 3 Hulu Sungkai dan Desa Ibul Jaya melalui strategi edukasi komprehensif. Dilatarbelakangi oleh kurangnya pemahaman akan dampak negatif pernikahan usia dini dan terbatasnya upaya pencegahan yang sistematis, kegiatan ini menerapkan metode partisipatif dan kolaboratif yang melibatkan asesmen awal, penyusunan modul edukasi kontekstual, pelatihan guru dan staf sekolah, sesi edukasi interaktif untuk siswa, workshop orang tua, pembentukan kelompok sebaya, kampanye komunitas, dan penguatan kerjasama dengan pihak terkait. Evaluasi pelaksanaan program dilakukan secara berkala melalui kuesioner, observasi, dan diskusi kelompok terfokus. Keberlanjutan program diupayakan melalui pengembangan modul replikatif, pelatihan kader, advokasi kebijakan lokal, dan pembentukan jaringan kerjasama. Kegiatan pengabdian yang dilakukan telah berhasil meningkatkan pengetahuan dan pemahaman para peserta sebesar 13,20%. Pada aspek praktis, Tim PkM bersama masyarakat lokal serta warga sekolah telah berupaya mengembangkan dan mengimplementasikan strategi edukasi yang komprehensif dan berkelanjutan untuk mencegah praktik pernikahan usia dini di lingkungan SMPN 3 Hulu Sungkai.

Abstract

Kunjir Village South Lampung Regency possesses considerable ecotourism potential through its coastal ecosystems, coral reefs, local culture, and community-based micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). However, the management of these resources has not been fully optimized due to limited public understanding of sustainable ecotourism principles, weak institutional capacity, and insufficient community participation in tourism management. This community service program aimed to strengthen community capacity in implementing sustainable ecotourism principles using a participatory approach. The activities consisted of field observation, Focus Group Discussions (FGD), brainstorming sessions, village potential mapping, training, and mentoring involving village officials, tourism managers, MSMEs, and local communities. Program evaluation was conducted through qualitative pre-test and post-test assessments to identify changes in participants' understanding. The results indicate significant improvement in community knowledge regarding environmental conservation, community empowerment, sustainable tourism management, and stakeholder collaboration. Furthermore, the program successfully identified the village's natural, cultural, historical, and creative economic assets that can be integrated into sustainable ecotourism packages. The program also generated strategic recommendations for strengthening local institutions, improving MSME competitiveness, and enhancing destination governance to support Kunjir Village as a sustainable and competitive ecotourism destination.

Abstract

The sustainable development model can provide space for changes that can create prosperity for society. Therefore, consistency in implementing sustainable development must be supported by a more concrete policy direction at the empirical level. The aim is to be an instrument in realizing prosperity in the context of sustainable development. Therefore, the study of the Kampung Hijau sustainable development model is important. This study was conducted through a literature review supported by a qualitative approach with a case study method. Therefore, the data sources in this study are mostly secondary data. However, to observe the conditions empirically, this research is still supported by primary data obtained through interviews and observations. This study further explores how sustainable development can serve as an analytical tool in research. The results of this study indicate that, at the practical level, the Kampung Hijau development model, particularly in Teluk Betung Selatan District, provides space for community welfare. Therefore, this development model can be used as a more concrete and broader policy direction in realizing the development model in certain areas, such as slums and rural areas.
