Abstract

Menguasai bahasa Inggris bukanlah hal yang sederhana. Dalam bahasa inggris terdapat 16 tense yang menggambarkan kejadian dari berbagai waktu. Hal yang paling dasar dan wajib diketahui oleh pelajar dalam bahasa inggris adalah Tense , seperti Simple present tense yang menjelaskan mengenai suatu peristiwa dan fakta yang terjadi secara berulang, dan Present continuous yang menggambarkan peristiwa yang tengah terjadi. Meskipun demikian dalam kenyataannya banyak orang yang masih menghadapi kendala saat mempelajari bahasa Inggris. Tujuan penulisan ini adalah untuk menggambarkan kalimat Present simple and present continuous yang dapat digunakan saat dikelas dan sehari-hari. Metode ini menggunakan kajian literatur yang di peroleh dari berbagai sumber seperti jurnal dan buku. Hasil penulisan ini diharapkan dapat membantu siswa untuk memahami kalimat Present simple and present continuous dalam percakapan setiap hari menggunakan bahasa Inggris.

Abstract

Pemahaman konsep perkalian masih menjadi tantangan bagi banyak siswa sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji isi modul ajar yang dirancang dengan media interaktif Baamboozle untuk membantu siswa kelas 4 SD memahami perkalian bilangan cacah secara lebih menyenangkan dan bermakna. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dan analisis isi, penelitian ini menelaah bagaimana struktur, model pembelajaran, media, serta strategi dalam modul mendukung proses belajar. Hasilnya, modul ini menggabungkan pembelajaran berbasis masalah, kerja kelompok, dan eksplorasi langsung dengan media konkret serta digital. Evaluasi melalui Baamboozle juga menciptakan suasana belajar yang aktif dan tidak menegangkan. Kesimpulannya, modul ini memiliki potensi kuat untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konseptual siswa melalui pendekatan yang kontekstual, kolaboratif, dan menyenangkan.

Abstract

Hypertension is a chronic condition often called the “silent killer” due to asymptomatic nature and high risk of complications such as stroke, heart failure, and kidney disease when not properly managed. In Indonesia, adherence to antihypertensive medication remains suboptimal, with patient knowledge identified as a key influencing factor. This study aimed to examine the relationship between knowledge level and adherence to antihypertensive medication among patients at Public Health Center X Palembang. A cross-sectional design was employed involving 102 hypertension patients selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using a structured, validated, and reliable questionnaire assessing knowledge related to hypertension and adherence behaviors using Cronbach alpha. Statistical analysis using the Chi-Square test showed a significant association between knowledge and adherence (p = 0.001), with an Odds Ratio (OR) of 7.091 (95% CI: 2.635–19.084), indicating that patients with good knowledge were over seven times more likely to adhere to medication compared to those with poor knowledge. Effective education improves not only awareness but also self-management skills, such as timely medication intake and handling of side effects. The results suggest that patient education should be a central strategy in primary care, particularly using accessible media like short videos and WhatsApp-based support to reach older populations.

Abstract

Background: Stunting and malnutrition remain important public health issues in rural areas. The prevalence of these conditions is closely linked to inadequate nutrition, poor sanitation, and suboptimal health practices. This study aimed to determine the prevalence of stunting and malnutrition among children, analyse contributing factors, and assess the effectiveness of community-based sanitation initiatives. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted involving 58 mothers of children under five. Data were collected using door-to-door questionnaires and anthropometric measurements focusing on height-for-age (TB/U) to assess the prevalence of stunting. Additional data were collected on infant feeding practices, sanitation behaviours, and immunisation coverage. Descriptive statistics were used to analyse findings, and STBM (Community-Based Total Sanitation) implementation was evaluated through community engagement and observation. Findings: Of the 60 children assessed, 39 (65%) were at risk of stunting. Anthropometric results showed that 16.7% of children had very short stature, while 18.3% were categorised as short. The prevalence of infectious diseases among children was 23.3%, and 8.3% had a history of low birth weight. Among adolescent girls, 75% had received TT immunisation, and all had normal nutritional status based on upper arm circumference (LILA) measurements. However, implementation of STBM practices was found to be lacking, with most communities not adopting good hygiene and sanitation behaviours. Conclusion: This study highlighted stunting and malnutrition as major health issues, with most children at risk. Poor sanitation and hygiene practices exacerbate these problems, underscoring the need for comprehensive health education and improved sanitation infrastructure. Interventions focusing on maternal education, nutrition, and community-based sanitation programmes are essential to address these issues. Novelty/Originality of this article: This study provides valuable insights into the linkages between stunting, malnutrition and community sanitation practices in rural areas of Indonesia. It is one of the first studies to evaluate the role of STBM in addressing these health challenges, providing a foundation for targeted interventions to improve community health outcomes.

Abstract

Adolescent girls in boarding school environments are particularly vulnerable to nutritional problems such as Chronic Energy Deficiency (CED) and anemia due to limited food variety, monotonous menus, and insufficient nutrition knowledge. The GENZI (Gerakan Edukasi Remaja Sadar Gizi) program was implemented to strengthen nutrition literacy among female students through anthropometric assessment, individual counseling, group-based education, and the provision of visual media including a balanced-plate nutrition guideline banner. The program involved 82 students from a Madrasah Aliyah in Indralaya. Results indicated that although most students had a normal BMI, a notable proportion were categorized as underweight (22%), overweight (6.1%), obese (4.9%), and at risk of CED (29.3%). Behavioral factors such as low vegetable intake, picky eating, and limited protein options at the boarding school dining facility likely contributed to these conditions. Through interactive education sessions, practical guidance on balanced diets, and personalized counseling, the program successfully improved students’ understanding of adolescent nutritional needs and healthy eating practices within the constraints of the boarding school environment. Findings demonstrate that pesantren-based nutrition education interventions can support behavioral changes and help prevent nutrition-related problems among adolescent girls. Further development of similar programs is recommended, including collaboration with food service managers and long-term monitoring to enhance program effectiveness.

Abstract

Hipertensi didefinisikan sebagai suatu kondisi meningkatnya tekanan darah secara persisten di atas nilai normal, yaitu tekanan sistolik ≥ 140 mmHg dan/atau tekanan diastolic ≥ 90 mmHg. Penyakit ini termasuk dalam kategori kronis dan apabila tidak dikelola dengan baik dapat menimbulkan komplikasi serius, antara lain stroke, gagal jantung, serta gangguan fungsi ginjal. Salah satu kendala utama dalam pengendalian hipertensi adalah rendahnya tingkat kepatuhan pasien dalam mengonsumsi obat antihipertensi secara teratur. Dalam hal ini, dukungan keluarga berperan sangat penting dalam meningkatkan kepatuhan pasien, melalui pengawasan, pengingat jadwal pengobatan, bantuan akses pelayanan kesehatan, serta pemberian motivasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara dukungan keluarga dan kepatuhan minum obat antihipertensi pada pasien di Puskesmas X Kota Palembang. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah potong lintang dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 102 orang yang dipilih secara purposive. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan kuesioner terstandar yang telah melalui uji validitas dan reliabilitas, mencakup aspek dukungan keluarga dan perilaku kepatuhan pasien. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji Chi-Square untuk menilai hubungan antarvariabel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya hubungan yang signifikan antara dukungan keluarga dengan kepatuhan pasien (p < 0,05). Nilai odds ratio mengindikasikan bahwa pasien dengan dukungan keluarga memadai memiliki peluang lebih besar untuk patuh dibandingkan dengan pasien yang memperoleh dukungan rendah. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa keterlibatan keluarga merupakan faktor determinan dalam manajemen hipertensi. Oleh karena itu, intervensi berbasis keluarga serta program edukasi berkelanjutan dari tenaga kesehatan sangat direkomendasikan untuk meningkatkan kepatuhan terhadap pengobatan antihipertensi.
